I am from Bangladesh. 🇧🇩 Been supporting Argentina since 98 when I watched Batistuta score a hat trick against Jamaica. It's hard to explain in words what it meant for me when finally the team I've been supporting for all these years finally became the world champion. After all the tragedies (that's how it felt to me) in the previous world cups, I was beginning to think that Argentina will always remain one of football's tragic nations. But thank God for making me believe again. It's like a mountain has been shifted from my chest and I am ever grateful to God for that. I can tell from the people around me of my generation that support Argentina, they feel exactly the same way. It's like we can start over again. We don't have to be bogged down by the weight of the serial tragedies and underachievements anymore. There's fairness in this world after all. Argentina is not just a football team to us, it's indeed a feeling. We feel it the same way in Buenos Aires and thousands of kilometers away in Dhaka. The physical distance means nothing. The language of love and passion for Argentina remains the same. Vamos Argentina!!! ❤️
I am from Poland and honestly we Poles, back in 2022 World Cup, when our team exited, a lot of us cheered for Argentina. Argentina has the largest community of Poles in the Hispanic world and the second largest in Latin America, and we still have a strong bond to even today.
@Sebastian Saam Speaking of ignorants: Since Dutch is a West Germanic language, Suriname is in South America but technically not in Latin America. Is it, Mof?
@@dwkickoff Latin America: portuguese and hispanic languages (it is french speaking also but for sure they will deny that lol). Iberoamerica: Those countryies with roots from Portugal and Spain (Brazil also of course). Hispanic america: Those countries that were Spanish colonies and actually speak spanish. The 3 terms have small differences and they are usually used.
i attended the WC Argentina France final. We were two from Saudi Arabia, next to us two guys from Scotland and in front of us two guys from India, six of us wearing Argentina shirt and wishing to see Messi winning the trophy. The atmosphere was incredible
I grew up with friends and family friends from Buenos Aires and they forever shaped the way I live. Most passionate loving people. Siempre Argentina !!!
I'm from Nepal but like my father I'm an Argentina national team fan and because I fell in love with football bacause of Messi,I have even more strong emotional connection with Argentina. Here in Nepal,Argentina is the most supported NT, Brasil is 2nd. Only Argentines and Argentina fans can understand how we lived through all the heartbreaks throughout the years and the fact that this was going to be Leo's last chance made it so nervy and tense you cannot imagine. Messi lifting the WC means football is completed for me and lots of people in the world. Of course being a Barca fan I want my club to not get bankrupt(which was a possibility) and win lots of trophies but even if we don't win anything,I won't complain that much because Messi won the world cup. Vamos Argentina!!!
I’m brazilian, usually we are rivals, but as I lived in Argentina and I was working at the final, seeing they going crazy, suffering, crying, screaming with the whole heart, my own heart was also with them, they are the best hinchada tbh.
I understand the sentiments but the Latinos, for all the talk of rivalry , actually have more in common and put their rivalries to the side. This just does not happen in Europe...it would be unthinkable for Scottish supporter's to be actively supporting England in ANY final...even if there was a narrative like messi's we would want Beckham or Scholes ot whoever to fail. Sad but true...says a lot about our inferiority complex. I suppose brasilan's don't have that mentalityLOL.and I can't imagine many people wanting the other big countries to win a big cup.
Rivals, but no enemies, Pamela! Besides competitions, matches and cups, I can tell we Argentinians LOVE Brasil's Football. O jogo bonito! Beautiful to see and enjoy. But most important, most of just love you as people. As latins in brotherhood. I'm glad you were able to enjoy and join our celebrations!
My family is from El Salvador but we live in New York and we all Cried tears of joy wen Argentina won feels like I waited my whole life to see Messi lift that Cup.
I am from Bangladesh and i feel the same emotion as the Argentinian's. My eyes are always filled with tears of joy whenever I look back on the 18th December.
I come from the southern part of India. In a country where cricket is the most popular sports, my state Kerala stands out. The scene is crazy. Brazil and Argentina dominate. Massive cut-outs of Messi and Neymar pop up in every small towns and even in villages. This year even in the middle of a river. There has been bizarre incidents like brides and grooms appearing in the colours of the Argentinian and Brazilian jerseys. People need something to celebrate. There's a primitive tribal feeling of unity and belonging when you are passionate about a team. I think football in many parts of the world is there in the roots of existence.
The celebrations were great. Fans celebrated in all pockets. It didn't become so huge. In general people had the feeling that 2022 ended with a great moment.
I'm from jamaica and i've been a die-hearted argentina supporter since diego maradona at italia 90 and to see argentina and messi finally winning the world cup in my lifetime is a dream come through for me, after so many heartbreaks we had soffered over the years with argentina national team. Te amo MARADINA , CANIGGIA, BATISTUTA, REDONDO , ORTEGA , VERON, ZANETTI , CRESPO, AYALA , SORIN , RIQUELME, AIMAR, CAMBIASSO, SAVIOLA, DI ALLESSANDRO, MASHERANO, TEVEZ, AGUERO, DI MARIA and to the biggest of them THE GOD LIONEL MESSI !!!! This a tribute to all those great players argentina has produce. VAMOS ARGENTINA🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷
I’m not from Argentina but from Kenya. Nevertheless, I wanted Argentina to win so bad! I hang in there like an Argentinian and went through a plethora of emotions, it was a roller coaster and when they finally won the World Cup I couldn’t contain my Joy! Congratulations to Argentina for the long awaited and the hard won win. You are champions of the world! 🏆🏆🏆
As an Indonesian I can tell you most people who are die hard Argentina fans in my country started loving football and supporting Argentina because of Maradona. El Diego was such a phenomenal figure in many third world countries. After that, Argentina has some of the best world class players such as Batistuta, Riquelme, Aymar, Zanetti, etc. Parents then share their love toward Argentina team to their children who are now fans of Messi.
I am from Bulgaria and supported Argentina since I was a kid. For me football is emotion and I see that in Argentinian fans. When Argentina won the World Cup I burst in tears. The brother of my grandmother moved to Argentina 100 years ago. Never seen him and never been to the country but I will get there. Argentina Campeon del Mundo !!!
@Sebastian Saam Sure, I was happy for Bulgaria. Bulgaria is a football country with hardcore fans. Sometimes with friends we even go to away games in other countries. Still I support Argentina. The country with the best players in my oppinion. Everybody knows Messi and Maradona, but what about Batistuta, Riquelme......and the fans. Overhere we are passionate and hot people. Football is in our veins....but we have never had the chance for something big. Except 1994, when by the way the referee did not give a second penalty when Costacurta played with hand in the penalty pitch. Argentina attracts with its extremes. Messi, smart and calm player, Maradona and Caniggia, the total opposite behaviour. So different and so great at the same time. And the fans.....the best on the planet.
Argentina always receives foreign people with its arms open 😊 You'll soon find your new family and friends in here... We're a little chaotic but really friendly and warm with anyone who wants to be part 😊 I hope you have a great time when you come visit
As a young kid growing up in Ethiopia, I saw Maradona play in 1990 World Cup. I have been an Argentina fan since then. Maradona is a football God celebrated all over the World. It was heartbreaking to see Argentina get so close to finals but not lift the trophy in my lifetime. I saw Argentina here in US losing the Copa America final in 2016…It was 3 finals lost in a row. Heartbreak after heartbreak we finally lifted the Copa in 2021 and Finally the biggest prize of All the World Cup this year. My Futbol life is now complete witnessing Argentina and Messi lift this most coveted trophy. If Argentina plays with my home country Ethiopia, I will still support Argentina. Futbol is the best thing, a passion probably more than music that connects the whole World. Por Futbol, Por Messi Por Maradona - Vamos Argentina Para Siempre Argentina 🇦🇷
Argentina has brought joy to millions of fans in Asia, and there are probably more Argentina fans here, than the population of Argentina. Thank you Argentina, we look forward to another title, we can't stop at just three. Vamos Argentina ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Hahahaha!!! that´s awsome, Messi says jump and can cause an earthquake! Amazing. We are 45 million in Argentina. Thanks for the support Vamos Argentina!!!
I am from pakistan and i cried like a baby when i saw messi finally lift his world cup. You can't explain the feeling. Its the greatest sports ever. only a true fan would understand what it feels like to see your favorite team/player win such a title.
yes Brasil is a football, the most tragic defeats the most emotional victories how we live how we relate to the players, how our life and the pride of our country is linked to football. no one has ever taken that away from us. we couldn't boot even if we wanted to.
I am from a small state called Kerala in India. I started loving Argentina and Messi when I was 6 years old. Now I think I love Argentina more than my own country. And I know some Spanish now. One day I will visit Argentina. That is my destiny. I was in Qatar for the world cup final. I was literally in tears when Messi kissed the world cup. I still cry when I see the recaps. Oh man….. that was something A lifetime memory… Vamos Argentina te amo Messi Argentina Campeon del mondo carajooooo…… 🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷🥹🥹🥹
Just to ask,am from Africa but very fascinated by the fact that Argentina probably has the biggest fan base in Kerala India and Bangladesh apart from its own native country. Why is that so?Or is it the Messi effect?
@@desmondachocky537 a lot of historical reasons. Kerala was a very poor state in India when we got independence. So communism grew here in Kerala. Our first elected government was communist. So because of that Latin America and Kerala have a lot in common. The second reason was British considered cricket a royal game while football was for the common man. So Kerala people used to play football with the British police. The other reason is when television got popular in Kerala. They probably saw Maradona's magic in the 1986 world cup and Maradona was communist. Then we got Batistuta, requilmy, Sorin, Ayala, Aimar, masche, Crespo, DiMaria, Jun, Tevez & the goat himself MESSI. So from that moment on Kerala and Argentinas's story was a romantic story.
Even here in Lesotho we celebrated very wildly. At one point the bar I was at, people were bowing to Messi after he won. We were topless and in the streets people were going mad shouting Messi's name. He's probably or a God to some (of) us here cause he made us fall in Love with Football.
wow dude I saw a video abouth Lesotho-South Africa relations a few weeks ago, the place is awesome, cheers from Buenos Aires and thanks for the support!
In my country (Bangladesh) people literally cried after Argentina won after so long. I literally cracked my voice screaming with joy. I have been supporting Argentina for 12 years now like my own country, that loss in 2014 was horrible but this win has rewarded my patience
It was very exciting to see the images of Bangladesh painted in light blue and white!!! From now on they have an important place in our hearts, we do not forget. Before we shared sadness, now joy. Thanks!!!
Growing up my family had an Argentinian exchange student for 2 years how became like a brother for me. Football connected me with this country so much that I could feel part of this community even though I was thousands of miles away
I guess you are an American because you said "miles" instead of "kilometers".. Anyway, thanks for calling it football. We would have beaten you up if you had used the "s" word. =)
So that means you're Argentinian too! Because once you stablish a bond with an Argentinian, it will last forever and no matter what, you become one of us. There's always room for another brother. Be welcome to your second home whenever you want! :)
Haha, you guys thank you very much! You are very nice and wholesome. I am actually from Europe. The "miles-thing" is caused by listening to a lot of American content on UA-cam hahaahaah
I was there in qatar. I watched how they won that night. I witness how they worshipped Messi that night. I witness how argentinian cried. Im a filipina, but the moment they won, i cried. 😭🥺
I've been my whole life an Arngentina fan even though I'm not an Argentine. It makes my and so many people of my country Bangladesh's heart happy to seeing Messi and Argentina lifting the world cup. 🇦🇷x🇧🇩
Bro.. You ARE Argentinian to us. All of you in Bangladesh. We watched you on TV cheering, crying and celebrating for Argentina right in the other side of the World. Can't explain with words how beautiful that is to us. It's crazy! Thank you for your support and love to our beautiful country! We can only response to such an incredible gesture with the same love and support you gave to us. I really hope our National Team and Messi visit Bangladesh soon, so you can enjoy them the way you diserve! Greetings from brother to brother. Greetings from Córdoba, ARG. Argentina national team and Messi had came Bangladesh in 2011 but i really wish if Argentine national team come to play here again. I wish you were here at the time of world cup. Bangladesh goes insane in times of World Cup. You will see hundreds of flag of Argentina in each block everywhere. Anyway brother take care of your self. One day I'll visit Argentina. Grande Argentina 🥰
I was born in America and I'm from Houston Texas. I am mixed with African American and Argentine ethnicity. My mom's from Mendoza Argentina, she cried when they won the penalty shootout. I was so happy that Messi was finallly able to lift the most prestigious trophy in fútbol (soccer).
What a beautiful combination of races and cultural expressions you have Christopher, Iam by myself made of 5 different ''blood'' and ''races'' which is wonderful but The South American one is that i carry deep in my heart, and is true when is about collectives sport we Argentines are unique and out of ordinary Vamos Argentina Carajo!
Being from Nepal, most of the people who love football that belong to my father's generation are Argentina fans as they fell in love with football after they watched the '86 WC. It was the first WC to be broadcast on TV in Nepal. I fell in love with football after watching the '98 WC when I was awed by R9. But beginning with the rise of LM with barcelona esp. after the 05/06 season I wanted LM10 & Arg to lift that gold trophy. But man, I never thought during those days that I'd have to wait this long to experience that moment. 16 & half years of excruciating wait, near misses & pain since that dreadful evening in Berlin when LM was never put on the field to showcase the world the legend it will see grow over the next one & half decade the pain has been ever present. And after WC 2014 & before CA 2021 it felt that people like me will have our dream of seeing LM lift that gold trophy incomplete for the rest of our lives & die with that fact. But boy, has the wait, pain, heartaches & near-misses been worth it with the beauty, magic & art produced on the pitch like no other, the emotional roller coaster like no other, a finale like no other, the storyline & script like no other, a footballing career like no other, a life like no other. Football has now been complete for me. I can happily retire from watching football now & die a happy man. Felicidades & Gracias Argentina 🇦🇷 & Leo Messi 🙏. Love from Nepal 🇳🇵
I’m Puertorrican and we suck in fútbol, so ever since 1986 that I saw Maradona leading Argentina to win its second star, I became a die hard fan. I enjoyed and celebrated this third championship as any other true horned Argentinian. God bless Leo Messi.
I am from Nepal and I love Argentina and Messi the most. I couldn't watch the final match when it was 2-2 due to anxiety. My sister had to call me with the final result of the match. I have cried and felt sad for days due to the loss of the finals in the previous WC and Copa. I can finally smile for AFA and Leo for the rest of my life.
I say it is not just some parts of India and Bangladesh but whole of south Asia- which includes Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Parkistan - has a huge fan base for Argentina. It started during 1986 world cup. This Cup was probably the first world cup that was televised live in the region. TV in South Asia had just started. We could watch live games for the first time. And, there was Maradona that messmerized everyone. We and I became a fan of Argentina. We were waiting for the same magic to be repeated. Messi and 2022 Argentina brought it back.
Yes, you are right, we are aware in Argentina of this massive support from Asia. I would include, Indonesia, Vietnam, the Phillipines and China. Amazingly Argentina has a huge fan base in China as well. Thanks to all our Asian brothers and sisters !
I'm from Argentina, Thanks to all the people arround the world that supported Argentina and got happy when Leo Messi lifted the World Cup throphy... that positive vibe arround the planet also helped winning the cup. GRACIAS!!
from Guatemala, but a fan of Argentinian football. me encanta el balonpie y Argentina realmente inspira al mundo co la calidad de su balopie. felicidades Argentina!!
I am from Ethiopia, and I get it completely. I am happy for Messi and Argentina more than I can put in words. Qatar 2022, the best WC final i have ever witnessed!!!
Great video. In Ireland the quarter finals was the best we have ever achieved ( Italiia 90) . The games stopped a nation, the ole ole chant from that tournament is still played at weddings and celebrations, and sung by audiences in concerts. The penalty win was voted the greatest sporting moment in our nations history, despite football not having the popularity of native sports. That shootout had a tv audience of more than 2 million, when the population in 90 was 4 million. The power of football
NO.
Sebastian, as an Argentinian let me congratulate you for this extraordinary piece. I think you nailed it in many ways, especially through the both simple and deep insights of Marcela Mora y Araujo. Yes, our culture is built up upon hardship and suffering, and tango is notably a musical mixture of melancholy and nostalgia, and the same could be said about other Argentine folkloric music genres, like zambas or bagualas. We crave for deliverance from all that grief that runs through our history. Our mythic drama is to overcome extremely painful defeats. That's why the most popular song of the World Cup evokes right in its third verse "the boys from the Falklands whom I will never forget". And a little later puts that dreadful war on the same level as "all the final matches we lost, for so many years I cried because of them". That's how we feel about winning a World Cup: elation, retribution, relief, catharsis, poetic justice, divine compensation. It is a complex dramatic structure, curiously validated (or amplified) by fact --just review at the all the six final World Cup matches we played: no matter if we won or lost, those were utterly dramatic, epic, hard fought, hard lost or hard won. As you very well know, a narrative is a powerful way of transmitting values, ideas, symbols, hopes, the stuff of myth. For many nations, including Argentina, football provides such a narrative on an immediate and massive level, that no other phenomenon can match. Yes, it would be nice to send rockets to the Moon, to have a powerful and wholesome economy, to live in a well-structured and equitative society, to be recognized as a major geopolitical player... but while all of that is, alas, beyond our current possibilities... oh man, it will be nice to be World Champions for these next four years --at least. Thanks for your perspective. Hope you enjoyed the event as well! Cheers!

In Europe, football is a highly competitive discipline just like any other. In South America it's a bit more than that - It's a huge trace of popular culture and identity, especially in Argentina and Brazil. Add up the fact that our countries have been dealing for generations with poverty, inequality, intense social, political and ideological divisions and you will find in football probably the only factor of common ground over this part of the world.
@@franciscomolinos7302 nope. You could say the same thing about Scotland...especially 20/ 30 years ago...in simpler times before the Internet, multiple TV channels, computer games etc.the passion the fans has for their clubs can be fanatical..definitely more than mainland Europe ( outside Italy...where football in 80s and 90s was part of life too) rangers and celtic, Scotland and england...a lot of politics, sectaratian division, nationalism..it's all there and the working class in Scotland ( and england) have meant that football is more important here than in many other countries. Lots of people need a football team to forget their troubles or feel important for a couple of days.

I am from Nepal Waited since 2014 for Mesi to lift a trophy with his national team. Lots of things have changed in my life since those 8 years... but the wish of watching him lift the WC trophy was ever present. To be honest, sometimes the victory still feels like a dream.
I'm from Indonesia, I've been an Argentina fan since Diego Maradona won the World Cup in Mexico in 1986 and that moment is happening again now in 2022, I'm proud of Argentina's achievements in football, especially with the figures of Lionel Messi and Maradona as the Gods of Football...Vamos Argentina
Started supporting Argentina football team when i was 10-11. It hurt me like all argentinian, Argentina being not on the side lifting the Trophy during the 2014 getting so close. Finally dream came true this time. Literally all Bangladeshi rallied for Argentina winning the glorious fifa world cup for majestic Messi and Argentina.
For the power of football is it's simplicity. A simple game of 'a ball finding the net through 22 pairs of legs.' Those legs represent an entire arrey of people. I'm an Indian, a born cricket fan and Argentine fan(inherited from my parents). Our family is floating with Argentina's WC journey for past two months.... It's dream come true.
In Argentina something better than football was invented, "the love of football", when Argentina plays we are one regardless of differences and thoughts and Argentina is encouraged no matter what. Soccer gives us happiness regardless of how the country is, they treat us crazy, but it's the most beautiful madness we have, and if they don't understand it, we won't ask them to understand it either. Do you want to know what this passion is like, come and live it personally
The most famous argentine chant for the 2022 World Cup talks about it: " I was born in Argentina, the land of Diego and Lionel, and of the kids from the Malvinas (war) that I will never forget them I can't explain it to you, because you'll never understand, the final matches that we lost, how many years I cried about..."
I'm from Honduras, Central América, and I became an Argentina fan since Italy 90 watching Diego. Fútbol is life, one day you're great, one day you're bad, but there's always a new game ahead.
Did you forget ALFREDO DI STEFANO? The guy with 5 Champions League trophy? The guy who dominated Europe through the decade of 1950's. The ultimate embodied definition of player no. 7, long, long before CR7 even born. He was Argentinian. (Before he changed his nationality for his career)
I'm from Haïti.We love football a lot.We participated at the 1974 World Cup in Germany. Here, Argentina's team is the second after Brazil in our hearts. Football bring so much joy and we forget all problems:economic, social, insecurity, politic. In 2022,even with so many painful sorrows, haitian people, where Messi is really beloved, watched with passion the WC. In 2018,the government wished to increase the price of the fuel after Brazil vs Belgium, but Brazil lost and people were very frustrated and started rioting.
I’m from a family that’s 50/50 from Russia and the United States. I started watching Messi play for Barcelona as a kid, which is why I have a connection to Barcelona and Argentina as my favorite clubs, since Messi is the reason I fell in love with this sport
As a Chechen who live in Sweden, we can say we wanted Argentina to win this time. Not just because of strong football culture but also a large Ukrainian diaspora in Argentina. In some way we sympathised with Ukraine for fighting the Russian invasion, and at the same time we wanted Messi to win because Argentina has been welcoming to refugees fleeing Russian oppression. 🇸🇪🤝🏻🇦🇷
I was born in Argentina but I live in Chile for the last 36 years (I’m 50), I also lived 1,5 years in Germany, so I think I might give my explanation why football it is that important in Argentinas life. First of all football it is the most important sport by far in the entire South America (with the exception of Venezuela which baseball it is as popular), every corner of South America has some football in it. Nevertheless, there is two aspects of Argentina (and Uruguay) life that might give the explanation why in this two countries football it is even more popular that not only South America, but also the rest of the world. Sports in Argentina are very important, when you meet somebody for the first time you ask name, what do you do for living and what sport do you practice, and if you check the history of the country, Argentina has been very prolific in sports, especially team sports. Basketball, Padel Tennis, Football, Polo, Rugby, Handball, among others are very popular in Argentina and have been source of great pride in the amount of trophies they had archived. But there is a even much bigger reason why Football is so popular, Argentina people used to be very focus on family ties, we meet every single Sunday, the entire family celebrate everything for whatever reason a meeting with all members invited and all involved in this reunion, so family it is a huge milestone in any Argentinian life. But this family ties are no only with your relatives, are also to your friends, your classmates, your working partners, everyone which is somehow related with you has the chance to be part of your very strong network of persons, like a team. This is totally the opposite way of life in comparison to most other countries in the world that are more focus on an individualistic way of life. And this specific Argentinian way of living it is something that every Argentinian family used to passed on to the next generation. When any group of Argentinian are trying to win any world tournament in any sports, the entire nation will join and support them, no matter how, but they will. They can spend a couple of year of working salaries paying flights, accommodation, and expenses in order to be there and support. It is the way Argentinians express their patriotism, emotions and way of life. This is also true even in music, just watch some rock concert from Argentina, even with bands from abroad (check ACDC for example), and you will see the same fanatism involved, we really express our feeling for what we love or admire, when we love something it is part of our life, it is part of our family.
Great episode Sebastian! I'm Argentinian and it is really interesting to get deeper in the reasons why football means sometimes "too much" in our country. Congrats on this cultural approach!
6 months later....believe me, we are still celebrating this world cup, the amount of joy that this cup gave us is incredible. thanks for your video, it was very respectful
One of my earliest memories is going out to the streets of Buenos Aires with a ladle and an aluminum flan mold to make noise and celebrate the World Cup victory in 1986. It's been three and a half decades of shattered dreams and disillusionment since. But this year, things were different. Our Selección had a nickname - La Scaloneta - which was unheard of. And if that weren't enough, the nickname wasn't derived from the superstar but rather the coach. The team taught us all to persevere, to work as a team, to have each other's backs, and to put the common goal ahead of personal aspirations.
As an US/Argentinian, I am moved by the thoughtfulness and passion conveyed in your words. You have truly captured the essence of our culture and the complexity of our emotions as we navigate through the hardships of our history. The tango, the zambas, and the bagualas all hold within them the echoes of past struggles and the longing for deliverance. It is through these musical genres that we are able to express and process our grief, our nostalgia, and our longing for something better. And in football, we find a powerful narrative that speaks to us on an immediate and visceral level. It is through the game that we are able to experience the full range of human emotions, from the heartache of defeat to the elation of victory. The World Cup, in particular, holds a special place in our hearts, as it is through this event that we are able to transcend our everyday struggles and come together as a nation united in our pursuit of glory. As you have so eloquently stated, the narrative of football is a powerful way of transmitting values, ideas, symbols, and hopes. It is through this narrative that we are able to find solace, to make sense of the world, and to find a sense of purpose. As a young democracy, we are still finding our way, but the passion and unity that we find in football serves as a reminder that this is just the beginning. Thank you for your perspective and for your love for our culture. I hope you enjoyed the event as well, and cheers to many more moments of triumph and unity. PS: Las Malvinas son Argentinas pa!
You need to know about Messi: a giant of football, and a humble person. For many years he played and succeded in Europe. We are very proud of him. But he couldn't win with our national team. He loves Argentina and truly wanted to win the World Cup. He decided to quit this team after some faillures but he came back, supported by every argentinian. And along with a great group of partners, and a humble but talented coach, they started to win. So everybody wanted to win the World Cup because Messi and this group were so inspiring and Messi deseeved it after so many years. That's one of the reason of this craziness about winning the World Cup.
True...the messi factor is huge! It explains the almost religious fanaticism...his very last chance to win a world cup!!! In the bigger picture though I can't help that it doesn't really make that much sense. He is a great player, never personally let Argentina down...just didn't have the right circumstances ( until now) to realistically win a cup ( or 2)...and he did it when not at his best ( although he had a great tournament but the effort he put in was incredible. He was on a mission for sure! )
I am from Kolkata, India where football is a religion for most people, and not cricket, unlike most other parts of our country. I myself have been supporting Argentina since 2006, when I was 12 years old, and so have had the good fortune of following almost Messi's entire career, both in Barcelona and Argentina. I still can't believe he moved to PSG (even after two years). Argentina winning the World Cup was one of the happiest moments of my life and the Argentina flag still flies proudly on my rooftop, more than a month after the World Cup final victory.
Gracias! 💙🤍💙⭐⭐⭐

I'm from India where no space for football then I saw Ronaldinho and I fallen in love for football now I'm crazy for football because of lionel messi and now the football is completed
I am from Bangladesh. 🇧🇩
Been supporting Argentina since 98 when I watched Batistuta score a hat trick against Jamaica. ❤️
Saludos!

I am from Poland and honestly we Poles, back in 2022 World Cup, when our team exited, a lot of us cheered for Argentina. Argentina has the largest community of Poles in the Hispanic world and the second largest in Latin America, and we still have a strong bond to even today.
Which country has bigger population of poles than Argentina?
Hmm, difficult. Country in Latin America that isn‘t hispanic? Could be French Guyana😄😄😀😃
@Sebastian Saam Speaking of ignorants: Since Dutch is a West Germanic language, Suriname is in South America but technically not in Latin America. Is it, Mof?
@@dwkickoff Brazil of course. They are not Hispanic, they have Portuguese roots and they are from Latin American. Regards
Siempre Argentina !!!
thanks to Saudi Arabia, who beat us and it was the wake-up call we needed to focus and win the world cup. Cheers from Argentina.

I'm from Athens Greece , and the most of the people here was with Argentina at the final. Vamos Messi !

Land of the gods..

I suppose brasilan's don't have that mentalityLOL.and I can't imagine many people wanting the other big countries to win a big cup.
rivales, no enemigos.
Saludos a los hermanos Salvadoreños!
Hi Darius, amazing! We heard about that too. How big was the party in Kerala this year when Argentina and Messi won it all?
The celebrations were great. Fans celebrated in all pockets. It didn't become so huge. In general people had the feeling that 2022 ended with a great moment.

Argentina Campeon del Mundo !!!
you are welcome. we know very little of your country so always you and your people are invited to show your culture and traditions and your be.

Messi is The Definition of FOOTBALL
Another aspect. The guys in the story just told us he was the GOD of football. They forgot that he's the definition, too.
@@dwkickoff It is interesting to think about it philosophically, if God "is" and Messi is the god of football, Messi is football.

Brother, we argentinians born wherever we want, like Bangladesh. Let's celebrate , we are champions of the word!
Growing up my family had an Argentinian exchange student for 2 years how became like a brother for me. Football connected me with this country so much that I could feel part of this community even though I was thousands of miles away
Cool ...were are you from ? I argentino i live in San Juan city
I guess you are an American because you said "miles" instead of "kilometers".. Anyway, thanks for calling it football. We would have beaten you up if you had used the "s" word. =)
Thanks for your love and support brother, you will be wellcomed to Argentina whenever you want

We can only response to such an incredible gesture with the same love and support you gave to us.

Yep, childhood memories, I was 6 in 1986 and my mom told me to throw pieces of papers out the balcony (Buenos Aires).. everybody was screaming,, ❤❤🤣🤣

@@franciscomolinos7302Only Argentina and Brasil. And Argentina is another level...

Waited since 2014 for Mesi to lift a trophy with his national team.
¡Vamos Argentina!

I'm from Indonesia and i've been Argentina fans for many years started when i was a kid vamos 🇦🇷
Greetings from Germany 🥹
This goes straight from my ❤
Viv la Messi, Viv la Maradona, Viv Argentina, this is FOOTBALL 🥹😭🥹😘
PS: Las Malvinas son Argentinas pa!
dejate de joder, sos argentino....
I love my national team, love my country, vamos Argentina!
Vamos Argentina carajo🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷

He was on a mission for sure! )
Vamo' Argentina 💙 🤍 💙
True, Billie Eilish should get together with an Argentine (me), and dump that silly rock-star kid that she is with..
❤❤❤❤❤
Vamos vamos Argentina... 🇦🇷🥃
Gracias! 💙🤍💙⭐⭐⭐
I'm argentinian and consider soccer to be a uniting force. We are family oriented; friendly; resiliant and love, love, LOVE!
