Her first performances - changed my perspective of the strength and breadth of self-expression. Years later, I Had to take my young son to see her and hopefully meet her one day - we were lucky to be brought backstage after her powerful performance at The Wiltern, where she was sitting silently in a large, soft chair as people quietly stood and greeted one another all around her. She motioned to my son, with a gentle smile, had him sit down by her - she asked him a few questions, and they both quietly smiled. His regard for women grew by leaps and bounds from that moment, on.

I you live long enough you will see the cycles. They were predicting the end in the 70's and the climate control people now have seen their predictions come and go for years now. But there are always new young folks ready to believe and to be used by older folks who have an agenda to fulfill. This is sad. I still love Patti though.
