- 1987 C4 Corvette! 240 hp / 345 lb-ft Torque!
I love this car and I wanted to share it with everyone! This has got to be one of the cleaner looking c4 corvettes out there. All factory stock and original. As you all can see, the exterior and interior is in great shape for the age!
The c4 gets a bad rep, but once you experience one in person you will fall in love with them!
My future plans are to put a aftermarket exhaust on it and that’s it(I’ll upload a video of that exhaust when it happens).

I also have an '87 Bright Red / Graphite Leather (Sport 6 Way Power Seats), Automatic with 3.07 Rear Gear and 45K on the clock. I purchased it a few years ago from the original owner who was about 90 years old. The car spent its entire life in a climate controlled (A/C and Heated) garage... still smells new!

79,000 MILES - Mine has 70,000 and is a 95 and yours makes mine look like I need to be kicked and charged with neglect by the C4 Police. Nice job keeping yours looking damnear showroom all 'round.

Nicely preserved Vette! I have an '87 Bright Red with Graphite Leather 6 Way Power Seats. 2nd owner with car spending its entire 44,000 mile life in climate control. You will love the muffler deletes as they provide just enough rumble.
Richard Estenson Awesome. I love hearing about people’s low mile examples. I ordered muffler deletes over a month ago. They never shipped. So I canceled the order. I’m looking for other options now. Maybe I can find another muffler delete company. Allen’s let me down, unfortunately
@@corvettemode1556, I went with the Allen's Chambered 3" Slant Round Muffler Eliminators which I found on Ebay. Luckily I had no issues getting them. Looks like prices have increased as I believe I paid around $170.00.

This car is cheap or expensive to maintain?
I have not had any issues with my automatic. Although I’ve only got 80k miles. Still, even higher mile ones seem to have a good transmission still. It is a bit expensive to maintain, because it’s so old. Lots of parts are starting to wear out. I’ve been replacing them. So try to find one that somebody is already taking care of, and you should be ok
so, if anyone can help. got a 53k mile 1986 corvette in pretty good condition, but admittedly didn't know much about the dash and on the test drive was more concerned with listening to the engine and looking at the interior condition to notice, but the display thing directly next to the passenger breadbox looking thing on my car is black no matter what. what is it called, and what is it for? on other reviews I sometimes don't even see it installed, and any attempt to Google brings up replacements for the cluster instead of whatever that specific display is.
@Ian Barnard That little black area you are talking about is the warning light area. It has lights for service engine, seatbelts, low coolant, security, etc…. If you never see any lights, be happy because that means nothing is wrong haha.

Hey! Just wondering how much the insurance is costing? 16 and want this as my first car but obviously can’t afford it yet aha
Well I’m 25 and the insurance isn’t too bad for me. I think it’s around 50 bucks a month. But I don’t have full coverage on it, so I bet if it was full coverage and used as my main car, I’d be paying probably a 100 a month. You should probably expect 100-150 a month for you.
If that too much for you, try to get on your parents policy, and just have them add you as a driver. That’s one way to save a few

No you can’t
I'm currently looking at one, only issues is no AC, for 3k firm, not too familiar with these, anyone mind helping me out, is this a good deal? What known issues should I be aware of? Car is at 120k miles I believe

Was this year Vette considered collectible ?
It’s hard to say. At the moment I’d say it’s not too collectible yet. BUT in the future in clean condition with lower miles, it could bring some money. In 1987 there were a few first for the year. One big thing was this year had new roller hydraulic lifters in the engine which increased the horsepower. So that was a big step for this specific year. Keeping this one nice and low miles while the rest get used and destroyed(will help the value with this one)

Whata the gas mileage like in your experience?
It actually wasn’t too bad. Between 17-18 mpg and I drove it hard. Would get mid to upper 20s on the highway

What did you pay for that Corvette?
