C4 CORVETTE! (Test Drive and Spring cleaning) -2021 update walk around!
Long time no see! It was about time I finally took her out of hibernation for a little wash and drive. It’s still cold, but I could not wait any longer lol.
As you can see I did add C5 rims while I was gone. I do believe it gives it a nice look. Also some new suspension upgrades(much needed). I can do a parts upgrade update video in the future if y’all want. Just let me know what you want to see!
Thank you for watching, and thank you for 100k channel views. Pretty pretty awesome!

Well you can hear this baby purr real nice in this video! Enjoy everyone! Some may have watched this clip in my test drive video, but I wanted to add this one as it’s own video so it’s short and sweet for people sp...

Hey what’s up everyone! This is my 1987 C4 corvette! 245 hp/ 345 lb/ft Torque. ALL STOCK! I wanted to make a higher quality test drive video for you all. There are a lot of window down ones and I know the wind noise is very annoying to some(I don’t blame you). Anyways I hope you all enjoy the windows shut test drive. Leave me some feedback and let me know if you have any ideas you’d like to see...
1987 Corvette Factory Exhaust!! (High Quality)
Переглядів 1,8 тис.4 роки тому
Factory exhaust video of my 1987 c4 corvette! L98 240 hp - 345 lb/ft Torque. Everything stock! Wanted to document the sound in high quality before I eventually put a aftermarket exhaust on! It actually doesn’t sound to bad for stock. I’m going to be picky about which aftermarket exhaust I choose, because I don’t want it to sound like a truck haha. Thank you for watching! Enjoy!

1987 C4 Corvette! 240 hp / 345 lb-ft Torque! I love this car and I wanted to share it with everyone! This has got to be one of the cleaner looking c4 corvettes out there. All factory stock and original. As you all can see, the exterior and interior is in great shape for the age! The c4 gets a bad rep, but once you experience one in person you will fall in love with them! My future plans are to ...

This is a short test drive of my 1987 C4 Corvette! It’s a fun car to drive(the rattles aren’t as bad in person haha). Handles well and accelerates faster than you’d think. Even thought it’s a c4, it still gets the job done! The corvette is all factory stock! I plan on adding a aftermarket exhaust in the future to open things up! Targa top was off!
C4 Corvette Factory Bose Radio(Sound Test)
Переглядів 2,5 тис.4 роки тому
1987 C4 Corvette Bose sound! I wanted to upload a video showing just how good this old Bose sounds! It has great bass for over 30 years old! This video is best with headphones!! I phone speaker only won’t do it justice. I didn’t want to replace the radio so instead I got a Bluetooth transmitter. Amazing sound and my favorite music for 20 bucks, not bad! Song: KSI- How it Feel Also don’t worry, ...

1987 C4 CORVETTE! All factory with no upgrades(yet haha) 0-60. A nice little night time acceleration pull. She gets up and goes!! This acceleration was done with the windows open.
Is that a manual or auto?
Impressive cars for only 240 horsepower. They sound cool too! Definitely wins the cool factor by a mile.
How much does this corvette weigh?
@@massimoc.4406 3225 lbs
@@corvettemode1556 thanks
these have the 350 in them?
@@SRT92 ya they do
I wish they would have brought these retro dash gauges back on the 2024 Vette!
@@thedavid3737 I agree. It could be easy to do it on the digital screens they use now. Just have different corvette generation modes that you can switch too. C4 mode could change the entire screen to make it look like the old c4.
Oh she is HAPPY
The 80’s had some awesome hidden gems when it came to these things GM was blazing trails on many fronts back then What a shame they have become these days
@@domagazio1386 I agree. Nothing but downhill these days
0 to 100 in .... eventually 😆
@@Coyote.five.0 Hey now I beat a Lamborghini in this thing……….a fiero kit Lamborghini. Lol
3-4 workdays until it launched, german cars doing it way better
No it was only 2 workdays
The c4 wiped the floor with its european competitors
I had an 88. I ❤ how quick it was and driving it at night with that instrument panel. At the time it was ahead of its time
It was ahead of its time. I wish car companies would have kept going with the futuristic designs.
It sounds so smooth!
Damn, around 6 seconds for a 0-60 is impressive! Even by today's standards.
Now pickup trucks and mini vans are faster
Well now is 40 years later so ya that makes sense. Such a useless statement. But thanks for the view
Had my 89 up to 168mph.
Is it stock? I just bought an 89 c4 corvette couple weeks ago saw it only went up to 85 mph. I haven't gone up to 85 yet. Curious to know if mine will go over 85 mph now.
@@Thrash_N_Riot these things get a little scary above that speed anyways
@@Thrash_N_Riot all I had injectors redone and some computer map changes.
@@corvettemode1556 yep
Omg i know this is an older video but you literally only put a bluetooth transmitter? Im looking for an alternative to bluetooth cause my casette stopped working
Ya that’s all it took. As long as you can get a good signal on the radio station it tells you to choose, it sounds great. Way cheaper than doing anything else. Just look at reviews on transmitters and grab one that is well rated.
@corvettemode1556 thanks man you basically saved me from spending 100s on buying another stereo. I really appreciate it!
Crazy my 94 Mark VIII seems faster than this, but I guess it makes sense since it was 280+HP from the factory and mine's tuned with 4.10s and a 3600 stall.
Man those old cars and trucks just hit differently. I gotta old 2005 chevy truck seats are more comfortable then my new 2023 ford f150.
You’ve got a point! Something about older cars. I find myself not really interested in newer cars these days. The reliability issues and plastic everything is a bad look for new cars.
37 years is a long time. Now, my wife's Jeep Cherokee is *much* faster than that.
Crazy how times have changed.
That is pretty quick considering the age.
These cars rock! My 1989 is so much fun. 154,000 miles on it!
Bravo 👏
Remember you have no airbag
Remember we all die no matter what. Some of us like to live before that happens.
@@corvettemode1556 I needed to hear that
True retro wave
Almost bought a 96 C4. But ended up with a 2002 C5😊
The C5 was probably the smarter choice. More power, MUCH better reliability
@@corvettemode1556 60k original miles. Needed some basic maintenance but overall for 18,500. I’m extremely happy. Oddly enough it has no HUD
Holy shit, the digital display looks just like those retro-cyber wave aesthetics.
The doug nash 4+3's even though not as reliable are faster. Almost 50MPH in 1st gear, I'm shifting out of 2nd by 50MPH.
Ya those 4+3 transmissions were an interesting concept.
Even modern performance cars today are pretty short geared im a motorbike guy, and motorbikes tend to be much higher geared relatively than cars. My 28-year-old 900cc sport bike is in first gear until 70 miles an hour and 120 mile an hour in second on a five speed gearbox Tops out at about 160 miles an hour which is just out of the shift from fourth to fifth
Do C4 Corvettes normally run that hot is your car overheating? 😳
They run hotter ya. It was fine. When I first bought it, I was all over forums trying to figure out if it was overheating. A lot of people said it was pretty standard to run that hot. (Now I could have improved it if I wanted, with a lower temp thermostat and what not). But I didn’t bother.
I took the video and cut it to be exactly from 0 to 60, and it was 6.34 seconds
That’s not bad for a 40 year old car!
@@corvettemode1556 definitely, super impressive cars, very fast even by today's standards.
Trivia for ya: Did you know all 1986 Vette convertibles are Indy 500 Pace cars (and it doesn't matter if the decal package is applied) ? You can get some decent $$$ if you have a low mileage one. This the C4 to get unless a person found a great condition ZR1
Yo that’s pretty cool. Good to know that.
Song? 🔥🔥
KSI - How it Feel
Rode in my friends 87 vette a few time back in the day. It felt fast…..back in 1987.
Ya they were up there with some of the fastest back then. It still feels fast today because of the torque. I have not been in a modern fast car. I’m sure those are on another level.
About the same as my 1989 Formula 350 Firebird. Wished I would have kept her. She had a secret…unplug the coolant temperature sensor, and she went into “get you home mode.” Not knowing what temp the engine was running at, the PCM bumped up the fuel mixture and the engine timing, gaining a whopping .4 seconds in the 1/4. That was enough to beat the 1986-87 Buick Regal Grand Nationals. Better yet, there was a chip maker that gained a serious .7 seconds in the 1/4 with no detrimental effects. I sold mine with 137,000 miles with it still plugged in. There was a “High Performance Pontiac” magazine article about it.
That’s a nice story. The good old days
That seems extremely unusual, most modes - get you home modes, particularly those based on water. Temperature, water level certainly don’t make any alterations that would allow additional performance. Generally, they retard ignition and enriched in the mixture, but limit the overall fuel feed.
Yea, you unplug that in a c4 and u get a crappy running car. It makes the car wayy to rich to run properly
Lmaooo no way
Amazingly modern dashboard- I timed you about low to mid sixes to 60 mile an hour, which is pretty impressive for the day🎉👍🏆
Ya not bad for an almost 40 year old car
Mines being worked on. The main circuit breaker for the accessories decided to short itself. I’m assuming on the driver side seat. 😭
These things like to get into the wallet
That was 0-60.. in pretty much..8 seconds lol
Hey hey still under 10 lol
Do you still have this vette and would you part with it?
I did end up selling it. It was honestly becoming a money pit. (Which is understandable). I am in the market for a newer C4. The power of the LT1 would really take this car up a notch.
Miss my 87
I don't know what's different about the technology, but it's nice to see a digital dash that doesn't flicker when filmed on camera (a problem you can see with modern LED tail lights).
Not only that. Apparently a lot of them would fail so it’s nice that mine didn’t have those issues. Nice and bright
@@corvettemode1556 The C4s seem really under-valued. I know with Trans-AMs people will pay extra to have the digital dash. I especially like the digital dash that came with the Pontiac Tojan. I might be getting a 1984 C4 very soon ☺
The most beautiful Corvette ever made. Just so futuristic when the future looked good when these were made.
I did the same shidd I thought I was crazy
Lots of cokeheads drove these new.
Hell ya lol
30 years ago this was considered fast. Today, this would be considered average for any passenger car best. After 125 years we are getting ICE cars dialed in and now they want to ban them in favor of electric cars. I’m not saying we should abandon electric vehicles but I think we should let technology and innovation advance naturally and let people decide.
Makes me appreciate how fast my ‘23 Tremor 5.0 is.
Cars have definitely come a long way.
That brings back memories.
This a automatic?
Ya it is the automatic.
Alright was just wondering looking to look at a white 85 c4 with 700r4 trans to get into drag racing
Those l98 doesnt make a lot of power but they got plenty of torque thats for sure.
Ya she can do a burnout for days lol. I think it feels pretty fast up to about 50 mph then not so much
@@corvettemode1556 although very beautiful to look at, those runners and TPI plenum starved the engine for air above 4,500 RPM. I had an 88 IROC with the L98. 345ft lbs of torque and it would roast the tires and was decently quick but after 4,000 RPM or so it would "tach out" and fall flat on its face. Miss that car very much.
Nice! It even has the legendary rattles. 😊
Lol it wouldn’t feel right if it didn’t sound like it was going to rattle into pieces during a casual drive
What gear you have? 2.59 or 3.07
I’m not sure I’ll check
It is not boring after a minute :) It's music.
