The real Indian science is Aryabhatta, Bhaskaracharya in astronomy and mathematics and Sushruta in medicine, not imaginary nuclear weapons. They were way ahead of their time and real inspiration for current generation.

The only mythological book I think makes sense is the Gita because you get good life lessons (ofcourse it is written by some person like myself but doesn't make it less impactful) The rest Mahabharat Ramayana are just made up stories like a play like Macbeth. If you believe Ram existed, give the exact date of birth and where he lived. Prove! And where is he now? why is Ram shy to help come down now and protect people lynched/raped/crushed in train accidents? @@abcdabcdoops calling The Bhagwad Geeta a mythological text does not make sense. You can definitely call Ramayan and Mahabharat a mythology because it is a story that has a link to the past. Basically something can be called a mythology or a history when it keeps some connection to the past. In the case of the Bhagwad Geeta the subject is altogether different. it does not talk about history. It talks about problems many people face in life, how best to tackle them etc. Same with Ramayan and Mahabharat. Call them historical events or myths, they give you life lessons that can sometimes help you make small decisions in life that would in a longer term might have a big impact on your life. As for the last claim that why Ram ( or I would say God in general ) does not come down to help people in trouble. You expect this from a higher power because that is how you have assumed that higher power to be... a helping, emotional, humane figure. I mean why do you expect the world to be a heaven for all and all good place to live in. There is good and bad both. You can't complain like a child that why are bad things happening. These are natural. Can you complain why people die ? I hope not... because it is a natural event. Similarly something is bad because we perceive it as bad. I absolutely resonate with you. As an astrophysicist, I was aghast at seeing their channel stoop so low. They probably did it unintentionally. However, I didn't know about your channel back then. Really good work and keep it up. One suggestion, don't chase Ayurveda right away, focus on more grave issues like most of your other videos. And yes, the good news, Abhi & Niyu's content has improved a lot lately. They probably learned from their mistakes.
This is a much needed video, there are people who think , Abhi n Niyu = 100% right facts , I hope after this video people hold the capability to question everything that's presented on internet and do build their opinions on the basis of facts and rational thinking

It's that simple there was no industrial revolution back then, if an author has written a book it will take hundreds of years to spread accross continent, which also means it takes multiple generations to spread it and between this a fantasy becomes a mythology.

Finally, someone made this. Abhi and Niyu are like Good News Today of youtube. They are more concerned about promoting the "greatness" of India, rather than engaging with our subjective realities. In my opinion, this is not the only video which is problematic, however. Coming to your video, I liked the way you categorically debunked their claims. The way you explained things with all the relevant sources, encouraged me to read more about them. It is sad to see that how people rush to conclusions without even considering the other possibilities. It is also so weird that people don't understand the difference between history and myth and often use them interchangeably to support their claims, especially these days.

I am in class 12th so didn't read such due to lack of time and resources and will study other in future.......

Now coming to the two claims you made about Siddhant Shiromani and Vaimanika Shastra. Siddhant Shiromani was composed somewhere in 12th Century, which by no means can be characterized as "Vedic period". Secondly, most of the measurements in the text by Bhaskara were already in place thousands of years before Bhaskara wrote it. Just for your convenience, Heraclides, Aristarchus and Selucus came up with similar theories as Bhaskara 1000s of years before. Not undermining the work of Bhaskara as a mathematician, but surely understanding that the kind of novelty we ascribe to him is misleading. This is the problem with pompous glorification of one civilization and totally neglecting the other facts. In any case Bhaskaras works cannot be classified as Vedic. Coming to Vaimanika Shastra, it has already been characterized as pseudoscience by various scientists. Even various scientists from NASA boycotted it because of the kind of talks delivered during the science congress on this particular text. Lastly, Carl Sagan wasn't a physician, he was a physicist. And his entire book Cosmos had only one reference to Nasadiya Sukta, not as proof of anything but as an observation on the thought process of Rig Vedic civilization. If you go through the same Rig Vedic hymn of creation, it translates into agnosticism, which going by standards of how Hindus view their religion today is nowhere close to Rig Veda. Rig Veda also has nothing to do with the current divine Trinity of Hinduism, and in fact it was people like Veda Vyas who were responsible for replacement of the old Trinity through their texts like Mahabharata and Bhagvad Gita. Apart from this, Rig Veda also has various chapters ascribing a particular role to women, unabling them to learn Sanskrit, on totally evidence less narratives. It also creates Varna which later translates into caste, a system which is so oppressive and hierarchal. So that's also a part of this history that you need to consider, acknowledge and engage with as part of your eulogies to "Vedic" system and knowledge.

It is always good to appreciate the actual beautiful culture, art, history and literature of our country and also praise the actual mathematical and scientific contribution from our country. Aside from that, we should keep thinking rationally and only believe in things with irrefutable logic and hard evidence to back them up. Also it would be much better if we start instilling scientific temper within ourselves and our community members rather than boasting about past achievements and achievements made by others. Focusing on R&D and improving ourselves is the only way we can carry on the legacy set by our ancestors, if we are not able to live up to their name and make notable to contributions to modern society, we won’t be respected by the world. I am so glad that you are calling out these people here. They present their content in such a manner that many are bound to take them as fact and forward it to even more people, assuming that they are spreading the knowledge of great and wonderful past of India. I respected them as content creators, primarily because of there 100 Reasons to Love India series. It felt like a breath of fresh air as a lot of people I have met in real life have the "Iss desh ka kuchh nahi ho sakta attitude" (which is another discussion altogether). But yes, they have lost credibility in my eyes for making these wild claims and all. So, I am a History Hons student and in my very first class our professor explicitly stated that mythology and history are two different things, and while it was okay to believe in a particular religion, we shouldn't let that cloud our judgement. Also going on again and again with equating mythology with history is problematic, because this mindset is adopted by people from the likes of the RSS and is just going to fuel the feud between Hindus and Muslims as these fundamentalists will keep equating it with history. Now, there is a research paper by Caleb Simmons of University of Arizona on History, Heritage and Myth (you can google it its free to read) in which he did give reasons for why people tend to equate mythology and history.

Sir I also have a criticism for this channel so please take it as criticism, we humans are highly imaginative beings, many people make assumptions of past based on what we see left of our ancestors. Firstly bro, the reason they speak in Hindi is to reach masses. Most of the target audiences watching probably are not applying any thought, rather looking at these guys looking a bit sophisticated, they would blindly agree and accept and share by chest thumping. Secondly, those target audience usually wouldn't watch your video, one because of the language barrier, second is simply they don't want to listen to the contrary opinion. @@amansaikia9518 statistically Yes, there's a very high probability of that happening. Percentage of population who can understand Hindi but are not literate or educated is much much higher than the percentage of population who know and understand English, you know by the virtue of English not being a vernacular. So a chance that a person who stumbles across their video and can understand it while not being able to think about or verify what they just heard is far higher if it's in Hindi, statistically speaking. It would be the same if it was in any other language as well but again statistically we have more population speaking Hindi and also statistically Hindi speaking regions are having much lower literacy compared to let's say southern or north eastern states.
Simple the targeted audience is people in northern states who speak hindi. These kinda things get ambushed pretty easily as you go further south even northeast is slowly joining the northern vagon.

I would like to point something out regarding 6:06. It’s entirely possible for heat of that amount under specific natural circumstances. There was a cave i am forgetting its name but i am sure yall can google and research it yourself. In that cave researchers found radioactive material which could only be found if there had been a nuclear blast. But we know that's not true.

As said, some elements of each text appeared to be influenced by real historical events but it cannot be regarded as a history.
History must have some concrete evidence not an arbitrary.
The only mythological book I think makes sense is the Gita because you get good life lessons (ofcourse it is written by some person like myself but doesn't make it less impactful) The rest Mahabharat Ramayana are just made up stories like a play like Macbeth. If you believe Ram existed, give the exact date of birth and where he lived. Prove! And where is he now? why is Ram shy to help come down now and protect people lynched/raped/crushed in train accidents? On the other hand, the Quran is hilarious, try opening the first page and read, you will burst in laughter. Allah will sound like a 7yr old immature boy. Bible is the same, but the God of the Bible is less revengeful than Allah :D
@@abcdabcdoops calling The Bhagwad Geeta a mythological text does not make sense. You can definitely call Ramayan and Mahabharat a mythology because it is a story that has a link to the past. Basically something can be called a mythology or a history when it keeps some connection to the past. In the case of the Bhagwad Geeta the subject is altogether different. it does not talk about history. It talks about problems many people face in life, how best to tackle them etc. Same with Ramayan and Mahabharat. Call them historical events or myths, they give you life lessons that can sometimes help you make small decisions in life that would in a longer term might have a big impact on your life.
As for the last claim that why Ram ( or I would say God in general ) does not come down to help people in trouble. You expect this from a higher power because that is how you have assumed that higher power to be... a helping, emotional, humane figure. I am in class 12th so didn't read such due to lack of time and resources and will study other in future.......

Siddhant Shiromani was composed somewhere in 12th Century, which by no means can be characterized as "Vedic period". Secondly, most of the measurements in the text by Bhaskara were already in place thousands of years before Bhaskara wrote it. Just for your convenience, Heraclides, Aristarchus and Selucus came up with similar theories as Bhaskara 1000s of years before. Not undermining the work of Bhaskara as a mathematician, but surely understanding that the kind of novelty we ascribe to him is misleading. This is the problem with pompous glorification of one civilization and totally neglecting the other facts. In any case Bhaskaras works cannot be classified as Vedic.
Coming to Vaimanika Shastra, it has already been characterized as pseudoscience by various scientists. Even various scientists from NASA boycotted it because of the kind of talks delivered during the science congress on this particular text.
Lastly, Carl Sagan wasn't a physician, he was a physicist. And his entire book Cosmos had only one reference to Nasadiya Sukta, not as proof of anything but as an observation on the thought process of Rig Vedic civilization. If you go through the same Rig Vedic hymn of creation, it translates into agnosticism, which going by standards of how Hindus view their religion today is nowhere close to Rig Veda. Rig Veda also has nothing to do with the current divine Trinity of Hinduism, and in fact it was people like Veda Vyas who were responsible for replacement of the old Trinity through their texts like Mahabharata and Bhagvad Gita. Apart from this, Rig Veda also has various chapters ascribing a particular role to women, unabling them to learn Sanskrit, on totally evidence less narratives. It also creates Varna which later translates into caste, a system which is so oppressive and hierarchal. So that's also a part of this history that you need to consider, acknowledge and engage with as part of your eulogies to "Vedic" system and knowledge.

It is always good to appreciate the actual beautiful culture, art, history and literature of our country and also praise the actual mathematical and scientific contribution from our country. Aside from that, we should keep thinking rationally and only believe in things with irrefutable logic and hard evidence to back them up. Also it would be much better if we start instilling scientific temper within ourselves and our community members rather than boasting about past achievements and achievements made by others. Focusing on R&D and improving ourselves is the only way we can carry on the legacy set by our ancestors, if we are not able to live up to their name and make notable to contributions to modern society, we won’t be respected by the world. I respected them as content creators, primarily because of there 100 Reasons to Love India series. It felt like a breath of fresh air as a lot of people I have met in real life have the "Iss desh ka kuchh nahi ho sakta attitude" (which is another discussion altogether). But yes, they have lost credibility in my eyes for making these wild claims and all.
So, I am a History Hons student and in my very first class our professor explicitly stated that mythology and history are two different things, and while it was okay to believe in a particular religion, we shouldn't let that cloud our judgement.
Also going on again and again with equating mythology with history is problematic, because this mindset is adopted by people from the likes of the RSS and is just going to fuel the feud between Hindus and Muslims as these fundamentalists will keep equating it with history. Now, there is a research paper by Caleb Simmons of University of Arizona on History, Heritage and Myth (you can google it its free to read) in which he did give reasons for why people tend to equate mythology and history.

my parents are like this and it's frustrating to no end. i watched them go from "you know, our ancestors actually weren't stupid and they did study things like science and math as well" (not untrue, fair claim, we did have a bunch of great ancient scholars just like a lot of other civilizations did and some of them like aryabhatta made significant contributions) to claiming "we already knew this before the white people" for EVERYTHING (literally not true. like that's literally just not true). with the eclipse yesterday i got to talking to them about eclipses and i offhandedly wondered what ancient people must've thought of eclipses and both of them immediately jumped in talking about how the vedas have all this knowledge about eclipses and astronomy that white people disregarded because it's in the vedas (neither of them have ever read the vedas, translated or otherwise). today they told me about how they read that the ph of water changes during a solar eclipse (don't know what they're talking about but they said it was in a study so idk) and THAT'S why we're not supposed to eat or during during an eclipse. like... dude. it could literally just be a cultural thing. every single cultural thing doesn't need a scientific explanation. sometimes people just do things. it's literally fine. be normal

Firstly bro, the reason they speak in Hindi is to reach masses. Most of the target audiences watching probably are not applying any thought, rather looking at these guys looking a bit sophisticated, they would blindly agree and accept and share by chest thumping.
Secondly, those target audience usually wouldn't watch your video, one because of the language barrier, second is simply they don't want to listen to the contrary opinion. They are happy with the BS they been fed...

@@amansaikia9518 statistically Yes, there's a very high probability of that happening. Percentage of population who can understand Hindi but are not literate or educated is much much higher than the percentage of population who know and understand English, you know by the virtue of English not being a vernacular. So a chance that a person who stumbles across their video and can understand it while not being able to think about or verify what they just heard is far higher if it's in Hindi, statistically speaking. It would be the same if it was in any other language as well but again statistically we have more population speaking Hindi and also statistically Hindi speaking regions are having much lower literacy compared to let's say southern or north eastern states.
Simple the targeted audience is people in northern states who speak hindi. These kinda things get ambushed pretty easily as you go further south even northeast is slowly joining the northern vagon.
@@amansaikia9518well technically yes! Communal feelings are much higher in north comparing to any other places in India. It's pretty easy to manipulate people especially when you speak the native language and are talking things that you unconsciously want to believe in. Education, politics and the environment plays a major role in this as well.

Main fact: India didn't even existed during Ramayana and Mahabhara Indians believe in Hinduism that don't mean aeroplanes were invented in India and when we're talking about Hinduism how can we forget Nepal, Nepalese can also say this and even Sri Lanka because Ravan was from Lanka. That doesn't make sense that India invented planes its so illogical and unscientific. You really did a great job by making this video, I was so unsatisfied with AbhiandNiyu when they said spaceships were invented in India .
Who said India doesn't existed at that time. Ofcourse India wasn't like this at that time, but there are places mentioned which exists today. Today's India, and all the neighbour countries and middle east countries are mentioned. I can give you few examples like gandhar is in afghanistan now, Sindhu in Pakistan, Sinhala is shrilanka, aswaka ks Iran etc. I don't remember all the names now, but there are many kingdom mentioned in Mahabharata which exists today in all over Indian subcontinent.

I would like to point something out regarding 6:06. It’s entirely possible for heat of that amount under specific natural circumstances. There was a cave i am forgetting its name but i am sure yall can google and research it yourself. In that cave researchers found radioactive material which could only be found if there had been a nuclear blast. But the researchers came to the conclusion that long ago the materials half time was very less which caused a series of blasts in the cave and the outcome of the material was radioactive debris. So its entirely possible to have these kinds of material naturally without any kind of external help.
