Didn’t know but will be adding it to my toolbox. Thanks for the info!!
Same, me too
I drill a hole in my shockwave drill bit container with every bit to use as a drill size guide for picking bits for bolts and stuff. Super helpful
Its crazy I bought another of those just for the extra Shockwave bit holder yesterday and didn't even realize until today that it had a sleeve. Just about shipped my pants. Im glad they finally have one. Cheers
Not only did I not know…I’m 4 years late to the party! 🤣
I saw this video and went and bought this today. Awesome channel
The sleeve's part number is 48-32-4508 and is $5.99 at home depot
Yeah, I have been buying them for a while now.
Hi, I am in the UK. I have been using the magnetic bit and sleeve since I was an apprentice. We generally use them for when we a using slotted bit, so we don't slip off the screw and damage the product.
Saw it at HD yesterday and walked on by. I'm going back tomorrow and grabbing one. The extending magnetic sleeve alone is worth it. Thanks for the great info!
Electrician here, i have the black oxide version idk if these are diff im going to get the carbide bit one this week: i tried but quickly learned its something u dont want to rplace strippers..my version also came without markings on the sleeve, says milwaukee with a stainless steel end, makes easy to see on an electrical rough in.. thanks vcg
That is a handy little kit. Years ago a Milwaukee sales rep visited my work place and gave me that kit as a gift. I keep it in the glove box of my pickup for emergencies.
excellent go to set with bonus features that you'd love in a pinch.
Just saw this video and wish I saw it sooner to share when I found out about the sleeves in late January. The home depot had a sale online for the 3 pack of the 3", 4", and 6" magnetic impact drives for $8.29. The best buy I've had. Use them all the time.
Didn't know Vince! I have had a few of those sleeved extensions, never knew what they were used for, NOW I DO!
I keep that set with my m12 screwdriver but never knew it could hold the bit to be used as a screwdriver and yes the sleeve is nice thanks
Yeah! I use these as my main screwdriver and wire strippers!
I bought mine for the ecx bits. The sleeve is a bonus. Now you need to make a video about the ecx bits.
I now own a set of 10. It was one at first until everyone's sticky hands of borrowing and return it back after work. I have own 3 2504 drills a 2505 muilt driver an 2553 impact. Now plan on getting more.
Had no idea. I rock a Milwaukee impact driver with a dewalt sleeve since forever ago because I didn’t think anyone one else manufactured the sleeve
Ive been using them for bout a year but i luvd it since i seen it and used it
Hi Vince , I just bought one of those kits, but I cannot pull out the bit from the sleeve. It's the one that came with the kit. I've tried a plier also, to no avail.
I have used this kit ever since they came out, I have at least 3 of them.
What is the attachement you have on the drill? At the back curved around the drill?
Just bought this kit last week thanks for the info 👍🏽
I've had this for a while I only got it to use as a bit holder much easier than holding different drivers.
I am an electrician. Had this kit for years. Hardly ever even take it out. It is an emergency backup or if I have to go with what I can put in a pocket super light. The wire stripper is somewhat functional but as you noticed you had to twist it to cut the insulation properly. This may be nicking the wire. I did know Milwaukee made the screw guide sleeve. I never noticed it did 10s. I am moving the kit to my RV as a place to keep bits for emergencies on the road. Love my Milwaukee.
I got the DeWalt version. I will look out for the Milwaukee!
love that ending DONT BE TROLLING! but honestly you always give good reviews in my opinion. ty for your dedication to doing them.
I’ve had this bit set for a while and I’ve always loved the sleeve but I never noticed the larger capacity until you pointed it out! Thanks for the tip brother!!
Da-da-da-da, where did he go George??? I had no idea either that Milwaukee had this sleeve Vincie! 🤪😉
Thanks for the info sr . @vcg construction 🚧
Time to take it out the bottom of my packout and start using it .
I already have one but I didn't know about the sleeve, thanks!
Now and then I come back to this channel to learn a bit about tools.i always love the energy this man has!!!
I saw this tool at my Home Depot, laughed, and worked on by. I did not know about the sleeve..
I never knew a Milwaukee bit holder existed with a sleeve, but now I want 2! After researching Milwaukee’s site they are available 3” , 4” and 6” with out the multi tool kit. I wish I knew this years ago thank you for the info vince!
I'm about to go in the garage rn, and look at my new kits lol. Had no idea. I assumed they were all the same as the old ones!!!!
Vince Dude tha sleeve is awesome...Heres tha deal ima put one in everyone of my kits...Fyi me an the wife love the vids keep em coming
Thanks Emilee, we appreciate it!
They had sleeves before but mostly in the old non shockwave bit kit , but haven’t seen them in a while till like a month ago when I went to the depot and brought it
I just saw this kit but I was like let me UA-cam it first it looked good but I didn’t know about it enough to pull the trigger thanks for the video
That bit wasn’t the only thing in this video with a loose screw😉
Just Kidding of course. Vince is the man!!
Yea love that little set also 1 of there only few sets with the ecx1 & ecx2 bits for wiring devices & for just under $10 you cant go wrong
Does it also lock the bit to the extension?
I didn’t know 🤷♂️. Gotta get one.
I have that screwdriver / wire stripper tool and I love the Milwaukee screw guide. And they give you good bits also. 👌
In my county of Muhlenberg Co Ky, we have a store called Rural King. They have a section lined out for Milwaukee!!! I found this set there and yes its magnificent!!. I will say it's the first time I have seen it, and man have I put it to use!!!! Marvelous is great word for this set!
Milwaukee makes 3 different lengths of the magnetic sleeve bit holders and sell all three in a kit. They had the sleeve since gen 2 came out but added the three sizes in gen 3.
I want that kit! Awesome channel.
48 32 4508 3 inch USD $5.99 HD
48 32 4516 4 inch USD $7.89 Acme
48 32 4517 6 inch USD $9.59 HD
But I am 100% in the same boat as you Vince, and the only reason I haven't switched over to Milwaukee bits yet.
Dude amazing. Kinda was thinking
.the hood ( that's what I call it ) been around 20 years . But the larger screw head means lag bolts and so on . Your are great
I didn't know about that sleve really cool! Where did you perches that kit?
I got this back in 2014 for my impact driver because I wanted a small bit holder to carry around with me
I'm not remotely familiar with construction but I love Vince's pop up attitude!
Have that same set & I also found those so called wire stripers useless, but in a hard pinch you can force them to work. But what I've found those wire cutter holes work good @ is when you've got a screw that you need to apply pulling force while backing out for the threads to catch, slip that Milwaukee set over the screw head, close it around screw neck, and pulling while backing out your screw becomes a lot easier w\ less slipping.
I've used the Dewalt guide for a couple years. Good item to have
I am grabbing that right now Thank you very much!
What about the j bender hole guide for connecting wire to wall outlets ??
used to drive a lot of screws at an angle to pest proof buildings, especially for bats, with a sleeve they sold in the '90s. it would take a big screw, but was a little sloppy for the standard 1 1/4' galvanized wood screws we used by the box. this one looks like a better fit. can't remember who made the early ones, but we couldn't have lived without em. I can't wait to try Milwaukee's. just bought a larger shockwave set and don't even know if this was included. I'll let you know
Thank u for bring video like this
I actually bought this as a small bit case didn’t even realize the magnetic sleeve was even in it. Don’t really like the case or the strippers. But love the magnetic sleeve. I gave a DeWalt one away.👍🏼💥👊🏻
i love this little screwdriver/bit holder
I stumbled across this when I just picked it up, once I found it, I have not been across it in any other kit, basically its there crafty selling technique
to get Top Dollar for their product, smart sounds like a good investment
Dude I had no idea but I'm getting one today
THX 4 the video now I know what's all the multi tool 4😀
I appreciate Milwaukee showing us electricians some love. Yeah, it might be a tad gimmicky but still thoughtful and versatile. Keep up the good work!....and no, I didn't know about the sleeve and I own one. Lol
Just got my dewlalt little bit set with that little magnet 🧲 thingy for the screws amazing
David Lopez the magnet came out on three in a row for me so I gotta cut’em loose
ScreenTalker DotOrg I used mine for one day what a change mine works just fine
David Lopez bad batch for me I guess. I bought two of these Milwaukee kits and keep one in my big bag and one on my service bag
Vince you are great. Thanks for all your tips and info.
Ty Vince i can now get ride of my DeWalt sleeved bit holder im 100% Milwaukee
Awesome tool. Looking for one now.
Holy crap. I have a ryobi kit that has that didn't know that's what it was for. Amazing
the magnetic sleeve is cool and shockwave bits are way better than previous versions. It's their hex bits that need improvement and the wire stripper sucks. thanks bro keep hammering out these good videos
Definitely be ordering that I didn't know that was there either. But like you said about that number 10 screw it's nice to know the Milwaukee fits where the DeWalt fell short
Pre apprentice- I would use my utility knife to strip before I use that. But A+ on the thought Milwaukee
This is so funny. I actually have one of those things and I dont think I've ever used it. Now I'm about to go out to my truck and check out that sleeve because I like the milwuakee holders better the magnet seems to work better too.
I use a Dewalt magnetic sleeve on my Milwaukee haha. Might have to check this out.
I own that had it for awhile and i love it that why i bought it for the slider sleeve its great
Hey vince, I bought that kit a couple weeks ago when my dewalt slider broke. First time I'd seen a Milwaukee slider too. I love it
I didn’t even know Milwaukee sold a sleeve!!
Vcg totally right man the 12$ you pay it's just for the sleeve the rest just extra love your videos all of them
As an electrician, I’d never use that for strippers lmfao. I’d probably get kicked off the job if those were my main strippers
🤣🤣👍🏻
lol, be honest, you're using your lineman pliers for that
D Spear I would definitely fire you lol
“I’m not sold on the wire stripper”... proceeds to spend 5 minutes stripping wires 🤔
I wouldn't ever use that stripper.
I just upgraded to Milwaukee Fuel line a few weeks ago! I have been watching your videos ever since! Lots of great info, actually helped me with buy more batteries. I literally just saw the sleeve bit in HD two days ago and thought “That is nice, I need to get one!” I didn’t buy it right then but just ordered the kit you have. My issue is finding 1/4” Hex drive bit storage. If you have any videos on that or come up with a solution let me know!
Harbor Freight and Amazon have $10 Magnetic Bit Holders for the side of your Tool Box. Great to organize the loose ones.
Did not know about the sleeve, going to get one, hope they are available in Canada at home depot, thanks Vince
Never used the stripper on that thing in the 2.5 years that I've had that kit. It's in my pocket 24/7 tho, my boss calls me macgyver when I pull out some of the tools that I keep on me at all times(in my pockets), this driver kit is one of them. Along with my fastback utility knife, my klein stubby ratcheting 6in1, my Emery cloth, my 3m super 33+ tape, and my scrap jumper wires. I do hvac.
Always save your cut off thermostat wires....... they make great hitter cleaners 😉
Lol that blew my mind All my drills in Milwaukee and like you I do not use multi function to very often I normally will pass them up so I would’ve overlooked the sleeve Milwaukee had I had no clue until the this video but I do know what I’m going out to buy tomorrow
Thanks for the info Vince.
Thank you Kevin!
Wow great vcg !!!
It was the first kit I bought when I started my tool collection. But my dad took the sleeve. 😂😂 have to get another
I didn’t know that the Milwaukee bit holder had a sleeve, but now I know. Thanks Vince!
I’d buy that kit just for that sleeve. I’ve been using my trusty Dewalt sleeve but it is for the smaller screw heads
Hey Vince cool to know about the Milwaukee sleeve fitting over the big screws, cuz I have the Dewalt for years and it doesn't!
But I find I tend not to use sleeves and just go for 2 or 3 in bits straight into my impact as often have the bits getting stuck in the screw after finish driving it and coming out of the sleeve.
Can you make a video about that issue and which bits/sleeves it happens the least with?
I was just looking at that at work when I was fixing the bay it was in at homedepot
Milwaukee has had a sleeved driver adapter for quite some time in the 48-89-1561 kit.
I knew about it... love the guide I was actually able to find a couple sold by themselves at the depot havent seen them in stock since so keep your eyes open might be able to find some...was shocked when I saw them bc you could never get them without that kit unless you bought online
Thanks for the heads up Phil!!
I can't recall which site it was, but I stumbled on a couple different sizes of just the sliding sleeve on a tool site during Cyber Monday I want to say. I try to avoid buying sleeves "bare accessory," but if that's how they come, I'll add one the next time I need to pad an order for coupon usage
Yea I try to buy the kits with the sleeves too but Milwaukee only sells that kit in the video with the sleeve yea a few months ago I was going to order a few they definitely do have different sizes i think they were on CPO if not there Ohio or acme has them...that’s why I was shocked when I just saw them solo in the clifton NJ depot bought the last two they had and haven’t seen them since
New to me. I need that kit. Thanks
I may be a noob here but how do u get the bit out that is already on sleeve lol I’ve pulled n pulled lol
I just picked up this item... it’s awesome..
Just saw the the drive guide for sale on its own for 7.47 at the depot here in California
Vince I looked through the comments and seen people having issues removing the bit the sleeve comes in? any idea what's going on with that?
God damn I need that magnetic sleeve! Been struggling with 3 “ + screws for some time lol .... great lesson!!
I didn't know about it. Thanks for telling me.
Did like the added screw driver feature
I didn't know about it. Thanks for sharing the info.
You bet!
I have that damn thing and use it all the time but I DIDN"T KNOW THE BIT COULD BE REMOVED. It was tight in the sleeve that I assumed it didn't detach because my set came with a second magnetic sleeve that did not have a bit in it and it is trash because it doesn't hold the bit in it securely (it spins and will fly off)....so I thought it was useless no idea what that second one is for.
Great vid, thanks.
have you figured it out? I'm having the same exact problem removing the bit
Hey Vince they have another Milwaukee one also it's red with black letters, comes with a small round set of bits that one is decent also but a little smaller in length. 👌
I’m gonna check that out Jason!
Awesome. What model number is that small impact m12 driver?
Jason Ricci “Surge”
The Surge m12
