I've tried my channel twice now, and I had SO much fun with it even with such little views. Life got a little crazy and I wasn't able to keep up. But recently I've been thinking about starting up again. One of my videos hit over 30k videos and I couldn't believe it!!! I was so excited, and I loved that feeling! I am a wife, mom of 2 kids (1 almost finished with college and the other in 10th grade)currently a Early Childhood administrator and really want to start a YT channel. I have so many ideas and I was stuck thinking I am too old to start this ( I will be 50 in Jan of 2021)!! But you just motivated me to do this and my goal is to have my first video up by September 2020. This video was so motivating and I greatly appreicate the time you took to share you experiences. Yes I like to be real and let people know it’s a very lucrative business, but it doesn’t work out for every channel and takes so much work, time and consistency. Editing does take up the most time, even more than filming the content.

Today is my one month anniversary on youtube! Last night I prayed for God to guide me through this journey if it was His will for me to keep going. I didn't want to step outside of the will of God to do UA-cam, so I really prayed about it. I prayed for a sign if he wanted me to keep going and then I woke up and watched this video!!! Thank you for this! I started my channel back in October and I've been struggling because it isn't growing very fast. I loved your point about how even if it fails, you still have the videos to look back on! I have a 2 year old daughter & work full time, so UA-cam can't take my full attention, but I LOVE making my family vlogs & cleaning videos and I love knowing years from now I'll be able to look back on them and see where we were at, at this point in our life. It's like a home movie!

I still need the Canva art for my channel page. I bought the Filmora program after watching one of your other videos. That's where I'm stuck at right now, trying to learn how to use the program to edit, etc. my practice videos. One thing thats holding me back some is my internet service has a very slow upload speed in my area. So once I get a video ready, if its very long at all will take me umpteen hours to upload. Do you have any tips/advice that could help with that?

I got my camera & tripod off my Dad he wasn’t using them anymore and I’m using an old table lamp without shade to help brighten up my space, definitely agree with not spending anything till you start making it. Today is my one month anniversary on youtube! Last night I prayed for God to guide me through this journey if it was His will for me to keep going. I didn't want to step outside of the will of God to do UA-cam, so I really prayed about it. I prayed for a sign if he wanted me to keep going and then I woke up and watched this video!!! I feel like it is the reassurance that I need to continue. Thank you so much!

Thank you for this! I started my channel back in October and I've been struggling because it isn't growing very fast. I loved your point about how even if it fails, you still have the videos to look back on! I have a 2 year old daughter & work full time, so UA-cam can't take my full attention, but I LOVE making my family vlogs & cleaning videos and I love knowing years from now I'll be able to look back on them and see where we were at, at this point in our life. It's like a home movie!
You will never regret having those memories.

Thanks for sharing your tips with us. I've got a channel name and been practicing making videos with my cell phone. Which is best to use....front camera or selfie side? I still need the Canva art for my channel page. I bought the Filmora program after watching one of your other videos. That's where I'm stuck at right now, trying to learn how to use the program to edit, etc. my practice videos. One thing thats holding me back some is my internet service has a very slow upload speed in my area. So once I get a video ready, if its very long at all will take me umpteen hours to upload. Do you have any tips/advice that could help with that?
Edit it at home but then go use some else’s WiFi to upload. Starbucks has great WiFi. 😉

I love these videos you do! I love the advice you give! I have been wanting to start a channel for the longest time and my style channel I wanted to do has changed so much for the past year. I practiced and never liked the way they turned out, or my kids see hey moms filming we can argue w each other 😂. I love the cleaning videos, day in the life’s, cook and clean with me. I love the amount of support the moms on these UA-cam channels have for each other. I first thought of makeup and get ready w me but those have soooo much competition and no support for each other was not me. I love your videos so much!!!!

I got my camera & tripod off my Dad he wasn’t using them anymore and I’m using an old table lamp without shade to help brighten up my space, definitely agree with not spending anything till you start making it. I created a channel and I'm using 2 phones to record because of storage and I have deleted EVERYTHING off both phones and still can't get all the clips I want because both phones get full. Do you have any tips for what I could do about that? Thank you so much! ❤
I never had that issue when I was using my phone. I filmed one video, edited, then deleted the clips.
Thank you for the advice I literally started watching you since you posted your first video and I found you by typing the word “Vacuum” funny right but you have inspired me a lot, you’re one of the reason I was finally able to get the courage to pick up my camera and start recording I had planned to start my channel by recording my wedding planning journey back in 2017 but never had the courage lol thanks a lot you’re great at what you do and I honestly look up to you I always say she’s my YT sister lol I know she doesn’t know me but idc lol anyway enjoy your vacay
