Viofo A229 Pro OTA (Over The Air) firmware Update. Unofficial Test.

Viofo had the ability to update their dashcam using Over The Air capability but this stopped working around the release of the A129 Duo.
It appears it may be working again.
As the A229 Pro 3 Channel is a very new product from Viofo it still gets Firmware updates but until now it had to be done manually.
The difference for the novice amongst us to update the firmware on your dashcam required using a computer to download from the official Viofo web site and placing the file onto a newly formatted TF card.
As you can see from the video OTA firmware update is so much easier and less of a headache!
I hope this is the beginning of the new update method.
