Yes yes yes I agree with you that Starmie is so cool that thing 100% going up in the next 2-3 years maybe earlier
I feel like there is just such a large quantity of cards that come out these days. Just so many different arts. If i were to give a collector advice id literally say only invest in the best of the best arts, and sealed strictly. Maybe you could still do well collecting that way. But otherwise there is just so much quantity realised.
Its hard to make things worth collecting.

Anyone with pokemon knowledge give me some advice. I want to invest in a pikemon card between 1-1.5k and give it to my son who can sell when he's 18 years old. Any recommendations? I like psa 9 1st edition gyrados. Ir base set charizard psa 9. What do use all think? Any better options?

Bought a few of those Mewtwos and it’s counter charizard raw because the art is just 🔥
I agree with the supply-demand argument for PSA, but once a card is past 15k for 10 I wouldn’t even think about getting it, like Van Gogh pikachu at 21k+. I’d look for alts with less than 10k like galarian Moltres at only 3k or mewtwo Pokémon go 3k pop,etc
Buy earlier, buy now, buy later. Buy 3 copies of chase card. Flip 1 hold 2 repeat

Just to be sure, if you want to invest only invest in English cards. Because if you check the hottest cards right now like Giratina V, Lugia V, Starmie V and so on only the English cards are really exploding in value.

IMO you should never be buying modern PSA 10s as an investment. Buy raw copies at a fraction of the price and grade your own modern 10s. Larger ROI, and less risk.
