I had similar issues with my turner exhaust on my 328i also. Sounded much worse that what was advertised by turner and leaked all other the place. When I called turner with the issues they told me to go pound sand. Instead of adding resonators like you (I already had a resonated version), I just took it off and sold it. Ended up buying a Borla exhaust and having it welded up during install off the bat just to avoid leakage issues. Now it is actually lighter than stock , better fitment, and sounds better. Props for trying to make it work.
TM is basically a set of pipes, hard to call it an exhaust system. As far as sound goes, yes, there's a lot of mis-advertisement. I also thought of getting rid of it and going with something else, like you did.
I used to havea 328ci, and found out that the best version, atleast for me was catless headers + removed 1st resonator(some people say that it is an exhaust), and I had the middle resonator + stock exhaust at the end
I see, I originally considered the 330i muffler "upgrade" and midpipes without cat.converters, but all of is still too heavy, OEM resonator is a monster and my goal was to reduce the mass as much as I could. Thus I arrived at this configuration I currently have.
