You can of course give friends special discounts/deals but do not skip the documents part. My boss is currently experiencing issues because she is too lenient with her "friends" and they often end up screwing her over. Contracts and documents protect both you and the other party!

I’ve been in a similar situation. I didn’t have credit good enough for banks to accept me,so the car dealership wrote in a different down payment amount lower than what I actually gave them. I got a used car at a high interest rate and paid it for a year then went to my credit union to refinance through them at a much lower APR. Car got paid off and my credit is a lot better than it was at that time. So I think he did something similar to get her approved but it winded up hurting him in the long run because JJ did exactly what the contract says and there’s no way he could prove otherwise without incriminating himself…just my opinion

He’s claiming she never paid him the deposit for the car. It was supposed to be 2000. She says she gave him 300 dollars and her old car. It turns out the old car is worth 1700, so with the 300 she paid it fully covers the 2000 deposit.
Funny. I work for a dealership. Contracts show what they should be paying. They half the time pay full down payment here. They either write hold checks or have dates to use the cc on file. She was supposed to make that payment to make the finance charges work. Doesn't mean she actually paid it. That's why receipts are important. We do take trades but sometimes if it's a friend or relative they sell the vehicle to someone or wholesale. There's reasons for this. Love JJ but this is not how dealerships work. May not be right but I bet this is what they did
