Couldnt agree more with Beatrice Elachi- Ruto is a true reflection of who we are. So we all need to look at ourselves in the mirror and change, perhaps we might find a different us in our future presidents.
The problem is the double speak, this is a "mother" who supports the mob to beat "her child" figuratively speaking. But I salute your points may your words be consistent with your actions.
Why can't leaders make it possible for people to have money in their pockets? This will make it easy for people yo have food in their plates, instead of the donations that politicians give ironically the donations are paid by the same people receiving it.., utter disgrace.
Because if they put money in your pocket, 1. You will not have time for their rallies, 2. You will be more educated than them, 3. You will have freedom of critical thinking (not just survival) and this will challenge their incompetence, they will not be able to give you handouts and see them as heroes and saviors .etc In short if you have money in your pocket then they are compromised and vulnerable and out of power as their rule is based on incompetence, illiteracy and corruption!
Elachi should speak for herself. Ruto is a thief, abducter killer, corrupt, and pathological liar. Maybe if Elachi was president she would do the same. By the way we havent forgotten how they organised for Morara to be beaten up just for public particfipation.
Respect is earned through decisions, actions, and character, not titles, money, or fear. And patriotism to country is more important than patriotism to a government and its head. Governments can be bad for a country. Look at what the Assad regime did to its people.
Now she's downplaying corruption under Ruto and his government. Enock if you can't take important things seriously, and can't ask the hard questions, then try being an entertainer like Obinna.
From this interview, I can understand that the political class is resolutely unwilling to change. Their only aim is silencing everyone by invoking threats of events like what occurred in Rwanda in 1994, or what might have happened in Tanzania and Uganda. Yet, they conveniently overlook the fact that this is Kenya, governed by a different constitution.
Why can't she answer questions instead of comparing Kenya with Uganda, america etc? She's talking with pride and enjoying the people who voted this government in, what about the people who didn't vote for it?
“Why are you complaining now?” Is this woman even serious? Kenyans complain because it’s the projects that always stop, not the corruption. So clueless.
It is stupid for Elachi to compare the Gen Z to Rwanda's Genocide. The Genocide was tribal and it was a Tutsi Vs Hutu's affair. The Kenyan one is a fight for a better country. The people of Kenya are Holding their leaders to account. How can that result to a Genocide. Stupid!
On the Rwanda comparison, what's taking us in that direction? Is it the government's actions and inaction or the citizens reactions? You can't keep scaring us with Rwanda genocide, yet your actions don't reflect the caution you preach about. An overexcited Elachi cheered goons as they roughed up Morara Kebaso during the so-called 'public participation' for Gachagua's impeachment, and here she is cautioning us about going the Rwandan way. This is why we are angry.
It's sheer ignorance to assume that all Kenyans are deeply against the government. Some also would kill to protect him it's only hat those disgruntled are loudier and more zealous in their hate
wewe elaachi wacha hiyo hapana peana mifano na uganda, in america the biggest democracy we all look up to , they depict their president as a dog in cartoons!
High cost of living? Which Kenya is Mr Historian talking about? Or is he talking about Kanye West not Kenya. Kenya has the cheapest prices of of basic commodities in decades

There is no breakthrough without change, and that change must be sincere
I think Elachi is very sincere, we were told but we said ni mwizi wetu. So that’s the reflection of what we are
Professional journalism bro,unaenda mbali

I knew you didn't expect her version of the truth. You just wanted to hear the false anti-government narrative
This has to be the most rational leader of our times

There was absolutely no problem with the Finance Bill 2024
