  • Another piece to go with my Full suite of Sturdy "Metal" Armor from Fallout 4, the belt. Now I could go fancy and add pouches and bullet holsters but for this video we are just going to build the basic version. In this build I used 4 mm & 2 mm What the Foam from Cosplay Apprentice, contact cement, metal from an old paper towel holder, large eyelets, super glue, Plasti Dip, spray paint, and Plaid FX acrylic paint. You may also need the following tools:heat gun, a Dremel with various bits, a wood burner and xacto knife or box cutter. Let me know in the comments below if you would like to see more builds from this series, from shows, video games, or whatever. Please smack that like button, drop kick subscribe and share with as many people as possible.

    That leather effect on the edges really sells it as worn leather. Great work man!

    The faux buckle details on the side are awesome. Gave me idea for a piece I've been working on and wanted to avoid getting actual buckles and doing all that work. So thank you😁😁

      Glad I could help you work out your own build. I just made another belt last week for my Viking Link cosplay mashup you should check our. I made it out of leather.

      Glad I could simplify things. Looking at the whole cosplay can be a bit overwhelming but knocking out one piece at a time makes it manageable. The more you do, the more confidence you will get.

      That is awesome! Glad my projects could be of use to you. My builds are all scaled to fit me, which I am fairly large at 6'3", 250 lbs. My head measures 24 inches around. You could measure you kids head and plug it into this scale calculator to figure out the percentage to reduce it if you need to. www.cosplayapprentice.com/Cosplay%20Calculators/cosplay-pattern-scaling-calculator

      OOOH. I like that idea. Watch Friday's build, I will be showing people how to make templates and that would actually fit well with one of the shapes I templated out. I might have a poll later for helmets to go with this cosplay, because i don't really like the Sturdy Metal Armor helmet. The eyebot helmet could be pretty cool.

    Kind of surprised you didn't take some aluminum foil and crinkle it up and pressed it into your foam after it was heated up. I have seen that and it makes foam really look like leather. Either way if is awesome and take care.

    • @MuchProps
      @MuchProps  4 роки тому +1

      Great point! I could have don't that. I just thought I could pull it off with paint job along. I've used that texture technique on other builds. It is very effective.

    Questions, I was looking at your MK masks, I want to do them, but when I download the templates and watched your vid, are there more 45° cuts verses what's on the templates? Like cheek and mouth? I did my first full Templar Knighy helmet, and used your weathering techniques, and it came out pretty spiffy. So thanks for your teachings!
