Weathering my Pip-Boy & Vault Suit

- All is now covered but the head. In this build I attempt to add years of deterioration to my Pip-Boy and Vault Suit in just a few minutes, using some everyday household items. In this build I used a Spirit Halloween Pip-Boy and Vault Suit, Kiwi Shoe Polish in brown and black, bleach, sandpaper, spray paint, silver wax acrylic paint and Plaid FX acrylic paint. I'm thinking of getting one of these Vault Suits to put on a plastic skeleton to make a dead dweller like the ones you find in random areas of 76. I would definitely weather way more heavy than what you did. I've learned that wood stain makes some very interesting weathered looks
That sounds pretty cool. Spices, shoe polish, and dozens of other things work really good too. I age my Knights Templar Iron Man with coffee and turmeric, which not only made it look good but also smell good.

I am thinking of doing my own pip boy as my phone case to bring some more cosplay elements in to my everyday life ^^ but for now will probobly will wait for foam to finish up my Solaire and Onion bro :D
You would be a legend walking around with your cell phone as a pipboy. If 13 year old me could see the room in my house with all my prop builds, he would probably have a heart attack.

It kind of would. There are a lot that could easily fit this armor set.

I like them all too. It's so hard to decide what to make when you kind of like most of the game. Weird that the one armor set I picked to build, has my least favorite helmet. Probably just didn't realize because I normally wear a hodge podge of stuff in the game anyways.
Great vid, loved seeing the different ways you went about dirtying the suit.
Combinations of techniques help to sell the years of aging. My favorite was actually the bleach.
nice work again, about the helmets? yeah all of them but its gonna have to be a custom job or maybe a cross between mutant/nuka world also if you make them all you could hang them from your belt like scalps (impractical i know i used to hang my hard hat from my belt hook,gets annoying quick) 😡👍🐕
I might end up building them all so I can pick which one fits my mood best for that day. LOL.
I really want to see the Combat armor helmet or synth field helmet. There are a lot of things you could do with those 2

Go with the synth field helmet but almost throw some sort of spikes, saw tooth blades
OOOOOH. I like where your head is at. Kind of like a Raider made some mods to it. I MIGHT HAVE TO DO THIS if it wins the vote.
I will vote for the Combat Armor Helmet, but rust it up and show damage from pass battles.
If it wins, of course I got to mess it up. Don't want no pristine prop in my armory. LOL.

The synth helmet looks cool but even with a similar paint job Im not sure if it fits the armor style youve done. With that in mind my votes either for the skull helmet or the super mutant blade helmet
I think the Synth one could be made to fit the armor, I would just have to add some modifications to it.
Hey much props can you make sea of thieves bounty skull or any item in the game I feel like if you made one of the skulls it would look awesome

I've seen a couple of people make it. Odin Makes has a pretty epic one you should look at, if you haven't already.

I live in in East Texas, close to Tyler. My little brother lives down in Galveston and my sister-in-law lives in Houston. If I ever make it down that way for a Con, I will let everyone know.
When you will work on upper leg to feet for armor? I am don’t big a fun fullout game I only interest your artist because I am artists too I only skill make a weapon from Japan’s toku Kamen riders I don’t know if you know about Kamen rider or not but don’t matter I like to see you put your favorite pip-boy full armor I look a forward your dream come a true.
All the armor pieces are built for this cosplay. You can see them all in the Sturdy Metal Armor Build playlist. The only thing left on this one is a helmet
