Keep in mind that at this point, Colonel Garret was losing his grip on reality. His friend (and possibly lover) Doctor Jiminez was murdered, by one of their own soldiers, no less. A recently sworn in Drifter wanting to get high. So, he completely loses his faith in humanity, and his faith turns into fanaticism.
It is a cool character trait but I don’t like how they make anyone that has religious values in survival or shooting games are psychopaths and cult leaders. Like fry cry 5
@@brocklessmanIn Far Cry 5 there was also a priest who was a protagonist? I think it’s just reflecting how religious extremism is prevalent in real life. I don’t think the problem is the depiction of religion, but rather which religion is depicted……
*SPOILERS* After completing the game, one of the biggest plotholes the game had, is that Deacon has a big tattoo of Sarah on his neck, and no one put 2 and 2 together.
They problably tough it was his mom name,or somebody really close to him,a friend, girlfriend and what not, sarah isnt the only person on earth with that name, and the fact that he got "sarah" name on his neck is pure coincidence for the colonel and others of the militia
@@samu_cfhflames4469 People are observant, especially from a miltary background like the Colonel. I agree Sarahs a common name, but its a bit silly that you are having conversations with people about a certain Sarah and no one mentions, "hey, who is that Sarah that you have on your neck? Daughter? Wife?"
@@kingcamelot1395 The Colonel keeps talking about Sarah. Id understand if the tattoo was covered up with a sleeve or something, but the neck is open to see and Im sure at some point Deacons turned around for it to see..not sure in which world an uncovered tatoo wouldnt be noticable.
“YOU ARE JUDAS!” A teacher once called me that because I told her I didn’t listen to the video she was showing us on the ELA lesson She replayed it 12 times and she called me Judas since I was the only one tapping my desk and not paying attention
Back when I was in high school my religion teacher told me I was a demon from hell because I almost never went to her class sessions, never was much of a believer anyway.
Jesus Christ Colonel really believed a man he just brought in rather than the man who've done various errands for the camp
Weak writing. And only because he got proof of his tatoo. Wtf. The least he could do is radio in iron mike

The colonel garret and deacon acting was amazing here
The Colonel is a great villain, idk why but I love the fact that he's an obsessed christian

I mean, it's not that easy to spot a neck tattoo. And frankly, it isn't relevant to their mission, so why would they care?
