Great video. I've got the same problem, but unfortunately, not the skills to go as deep as you. So, I'm going to try and find a replacement motor and pcb. That swap i can manage...
Hello, Could you help me? I have a similar problem with Dyson v10, that the motor does not turn because there is no power, how could I check that it is the mosfet that is failing
Hi mate, I just replaced with new motor and my Vaccum Motörhead or any other attachment still not spinning just sucking. Do you know what would be the reason or how to fix that. Cheers
What vacuum cleaner model do you have? The causes can be multiple: imperfect contact in the Cyclone housing connector, defective MOSFET on the electronic board, liquid/oxide inside the vacuum cleaner. I have a video on my channel that could help you: ua-cam.com/video/3P3-7HUy9c4/v-deo.htmlsi=0lnaovMXhKJzAt37
Hello, I have this question, I have a ruined transistor r005 due to moisture. How critical is it to connect the minus terminal of the brush to the motor? Thank you in advance for your reply.
This is a shunt resistor. With its help, the consumption of the motorized brush is monitored. When the consumption increases a lot (because the brush is blocked or because it is defective), the controller stops the current supply to the brush through the MOSFET that is mounted immediately after the shunt. If you put any other type of resistor, the brush will either not work at all (or with interruptions in the load) or it will continue to be powered when a problem occurs, which would lead to overheating and damage to the MOSFET and maybe other components. You can find 50 pcs for $1 on AliExpress.
Does the vacuum cleaner also stop? Or only the brush stops and the vacuum cleaner continues to work? Can you send me a video to TechFixPOVinfo@gmail.com?
@@techfixPOVI have the same issue. The brush motor starts to spin and stops in eco and medium mode, but on max mode it'll spin the brush motor fine. In eco mode I can feel a slight pulsing and very faint pulsing in medium mode from the vacuum motor itself. I got a new head because it needed to go back into service quickly, but I'd like to repair the old one.
