You must have gotten a bad unit. I have the Q20 20ah and the Q20 pro. No issues with brakes, batteries or wobbling wheels. Over 800 miles on original brake pads and will definitely make it beyond 1000 miles on stock pads.
Great Honest Review Basement 👍Im still debating on which Ebike to get myself . Im still looking at the Wicked thumb bikes Deuce S or a Full Size model unfortunately not all come with front shocks so its more $ to upgrade the 2024 RatRod bike is Nice also but more Expensive.
the first option is , if theres a ambeant light in the screen it will sence when its dark or light , it will turn off and on the light auto if you have it in auto
Don’t listen to this guy he’s asking for a 10k quality bike for 1k. Iv put 120 miles on it and I love it. Yes if you want a perfect bike add a couple hundred bucks on upgrades and you will have the ultimate ev bike. He’s probably over weight and asking to much out of this bike. I weigh 230 and it treats me great
@drzg2640 shove it tubby! Watch the video without a mouthful next time and listen. Btw...get back and talk some more shit after you've had more than a weekend's ride worth of miles. Better yet...just go f#ck yourself.
such a negative nelly, found some brake pads. $40 for both front and back. And honestly I think if you just learned the settings for the bike it wouldnt be so bad
Bro, you can not complain about a1000 box e-bike, however, I have this bike since a long time and I never got an issue, only the brakes, you can change the entire break set to another one instead of fighting with people in ebay auction.
@@TheBasementGardener good for you, by the way to access the settings you need to hold the + and - together, and everything is written on the manual, also, 0 PAS it means you deactivate the motor not the peddle assist, but no one peddle on this bike anyway.
i love my ridstar ive had it for a few months. Pedaling isnt that bad, the gear shifter helps bigtime. i do have the same brake issue but havent looked into it yet. im definitely not gonna buy it again but its a great starter e bike in my opinion.
40 bucks aint to bad for breaks lol, and ive seen great reviews on this bike, u must of gotten a bad unit or u just dont like it for yourself. Which is fine. Not everyone will like it. Thanks for ur info.
I went with the Amyet G60. Very similar ebikes but a couple hundred bucks less off of ebay. They took my offer of 649... after taxes and shipping came out to 794. Would I buy it again? Maybe... the price makes it hard to complain. I've only put 8 miles on it so far. Brakes are cable operated, which I'm ok with them. They work good enough for now. Eventually, I'll upgrade to hydraulic brakes, still come out cheaper than purchasing the Ridstar and won't have any of the brake issues that both of these ebikes come with. I agree, this style of ebikes sucks for peddling. I knew that before my purchase... thanks to various reviews. I'm happy just using the throttle. 😂 I noticed Happyrun's selection of replacement parts on their website. Should a person wreck or have a part failure after warranty is expired... they got everything available separately.
Awesome review. I was feeling that impulse to buy one off Banggood on this late saturday night while lying in bed before coming across your vid. I own a german engineered, bosch powered touring Ebike and was thinking of getting this based purely on looks, a bit of fun and for using when my "proper" commuting bike is down for repairs/maintanance, but I doubt whether it would even be good for that. Thanks for the no BS review!
Well...I haven't tried the submarine feature yet, but no problems with rain or puddles. I leave it out in rain all the time, I just put a plastic bag over the display and battery if it's really hosing down.
Oh noo I just order it 😂😢 So which one is better than this for the money ? Put some links ? My neighbor has super73 for 4000$ basic model without rear suspension and man it's just a scam...
@@TheBasementGardener My bike came yesterday. Man I'm blown away, it's great, I'm very happy :) My supplier has as many spare brake pads as I want so I don't see any problem... cheers...
the “manual” thing with the headlight symbol is just Chinese cheap corner cutting. on many e-bikes, holding the plus button on the controller turns on the headlights, ridstar didn’t care enough to bother changing that button and just left it wired to nothing and they put in their own controls for headlights
@@TheBasementGardener What's the real range of ridstar Q20? On allegro they write that 80km on pedaling and 120km on pas. But I don't trust them, and after this wideo I'm quite worried...
@@aleksandro3190 I weigh about 200lbs. Riding purely on electric, I get no more than 50km. Using pedal assist is usless and may increase the range to about 60km. Its not a bike that you want to run out of battery on . Pedaling this beast sux!
Hey so seeing this comment, can i know the benefits of the emoko over the ridstar? Ive been set on ridstar and i mean if i can get a better ebike for around the same price im all for it

So you video a dirty bike you wine and complain about this and that e bikes are heavy for many reasons research it I didn't listen to whole video wah wah wah.You can't express your self without negative comments.
i’ve had my bike for 3 years and all of the problems u have i’ve never had maybe it’s a weight problem because i weigh 120 cause im 13 but u prob weigh close to 300

Thanks 👍. Wish I could share this out! 😄
Can't go wrong for $649. I've had mine now for about 6 months and thing rips
. no complaints on my end
Seems that they made it for a warmer climate than here in Canada Basement.

the suprise walk mode was so funny lmao
