Awesome kit, however I don't think there are any modelers out there that KNOW WHERE THAT FANTASTIC MUSIC CAME FROM.. Best Mosquito movie of all time, discounting a few special effects scenes :-) in fact this kit is better than models used in film. " VESUVIUS SIR"
NICE!, great detail. Ever thought about doing large scale models and filming them? Extinct types such as Defiant, Hampden, Halifax, Typhoon, all those that will never be seen flying again.
Could do with a CGI makeover, the real Mosquitoa were well filmed..but those models! However,a "blood and thunder" 1960s war film with a Sikh main character? Way ahead of it's time.
Best scenes ever were right bank into valley for practice run. My main question, did Cliff Robertson live in the end? The book implies that he does. Plus I believe there are only 4 flying Mosquitoes in world and they are in Australia or New Zealand. However, you're right, cgi could make up difference.
Can't find any info about what the engine nacelles were made of. Just got done doing a paint chipped metal look on a 1/48 on the nacelles. Ailerons and rear elevators too. Did I screw up?
Hi Paul, glad you like it, probably the best quality kit I've built. You don't want to count the hours and hours but the end product was worth every hour. Had a Taxy Run in a real one in August it was great ua-cam.com/video/z966R4EeBLQ/v-deo.html
Any idea where i can get obscure decals / national markings ? Say ww2 era or 1950's....lets say Turkish....Arabian Gulf....Brazil....etc...? In 1 32 scale
Read this earlier: The specific reason the Mosquito did not have counter rotating propellers was because the RAF did not want to have the logistics complication of dealing with handed engines.
@@jimsheach roger that, also partially political issues for engines due to war effort, it created two problems for the Mosquito , a high " Vmc" stability ratio of 172 mph to assure rudder effectiveness, at take off and one engine.
I believe the props on a merlin engined aircraft always rotated clockwise (when seen from cockpit), anti-clockwise from the ground. Griffons fitted (for example) to later Spitfires went the other way.
Great job especially in markings of Polish 301sq, thanks for that.
Outstanding detailing of the late war night interceptor cockpit! 👍👏
Beautifully done . Excellent example of the air craft built right here in Toronto . Keep It Up .☝

Bless Tamiya for doing this, bless you for sharing.
Isn't that the music from the movie. Great model.

Superb craftsmanship 👏
633 Squadron should be considered one of the best flying films ever maid.

Wonderful. Dare I ask about how many hours of work?

Can one build this kit as the original unarmed bomber variant?
No only supplied in this variant.
On the full size Mosquito, did the propellors rotate in opposite directions or both in the same direction?

Can i ask, why is there no 🇬🇧 company around that produce models of their great aircrafts, but instead left to another country to make them??
There's always Airfix, design in the UK manufacture abroad.
Top!!!
