No, he plays flam accents throughout the video. Flam followed by two singles then flip it!

So the flam should have the sound of a stapler instead that popping noise.....
3.40.. goes to one hand on rim, one hand on drum to break down rudiment. but sounds like a different rudiment then.. not a flam accent?! i'm confused. great drummer and teacher though.

1:55 There should be more of a distinction between the accented stroke and the grace note stoke. Just sayin'.
