    Honestly, many are leaving or doing less Uber because of the insane revenue they are taking from them cheap fares are killing us drivers,

      They need to start charging more. No doubt

      @@TWHISPERER they are charging more than enough. The problem is they have taken more than half of the revenue for themselves it is corporate greed 😔

    20 dollars a hour for 12 hours is $240 will not be enogh especially you renting a car. Living in California will not work. Timing is everything here because traffic and it will take all day r make money. Drivers will have burnouts. Less time on the road less chances of getting a accident.

    You are absolutely correct. I am in the state of Florida working out of the Tampa Bay area. You are waiting long period of times just to get a ride. I’ve worked all different times of the day. New Year’s Eve night I worked six hours, made $160 mind you 60 of that had to go back into gas. That was on New Year’s Eve night!!! There are so many drivers now that they don’t even have to pay you well for the rides because they know we have to take what we get. That’s another problem.

    I had somebody report me for ILLEGAL DRIVING!!!!!!!! I was stunned
    Never ever do i drive crazy with riders in my car so thats a damn lie, and i bet the scumbag rider only reported me only to have uber give them there money back

    • @paliluv05
      @paliluv05 6 місяців тому +1

      And that's the problem with this rideshare game, always feeling nervous and anxious when riders are in the car because you know they can report you for anything

      Wow newsflash we just won in the Supreme Court in California very soon is gonna be a big payday for the drivers in California thank you so much can’t wait for my settlement. State of Calif Judgement Affirmed pay all drivers for Wage theft and business expenses with penalties for labor law violations. AB5 wins Prop 22 loses. Hell Yes 🙌

    There are way too many drivers for our area. I have sat for 2 hrs between rides. Its ridiculous. Uber needs to cap how many drivers they approve for an area

      I am in Utah county and keep both apps open and average 25 an hour. Majority of the time I drive 10pm to 8am and during the day of 12pm to 4pm I average 19 to 20 an hour. Try overnights.

    I drive a Chicago and it’s not February 2024 and it is extremely slow. I’m averaging about $15-$18. It doesn’t make it worth it after you calculate gas.

    With more and more companies doing layoffs, even with restaurants, that means more and more people are going to be doing Uber and Lyft. Even grocery stores and gas stations are using less and less cashiers. More self checkout, now at gas some gas stations, they have machines where you just put your item in it and it scans the item and charges you, you don't even have to deal with a cashier, you just swipe your card and go about your way. White collar jobs are laying off like crazy, have been since 2000, then you can't go to restaurants because they won't need as many employees since the cost of living is going up, and with more people unemployed, there is less money spent on going out to eat. Go to fast food? Fast food in California is going to $20/hr so they're laying off, other states are raising their minimum wage too, so the cost of meals are going up, which will also lead to less customers, less employees. So, where do you go now? Uber and Lyft. However, they don't pay that much and they don't treat you well either. The more people want to go to Uber and Lyft, the more they see that they can throw away drivers for ticky tack things. Deactive you just like that. There is a video of a man who was the Driver of The Year for Lyft - AND THEY DEACTIVATED HIM NINE TIMES?? What is the government doing for us? What is Biden doing for us? Nothing

    Friend in NY Uber and Lyft straight up STOLE MONEY FROM DRIVERS. There are instances of people being burned for $10,000 and $25,000!!!! That case is the largest employee theft case in US history. It's not a casual lawsuit it's HUGE AS HELL. Driver's should never have to bill a rider. Pay a toll etc. If Uber and Lyft collect for these items the fares need to paid back to the driver's who covered costs along the way.

    I actually believe that there will be less drivers in 2024 bc I have saw less in 2022 & 2023. Most drivers are unable to afford the high cost of vehicle repairs, insurance, gas, and still have any funds left over for profit. Uber & Lyft could actually be collapsing bc of the frequent "glitches" that they continue having i.e. 2024 New Years eve/day payout glitch. But you can continue to drive & make money for them. Smh

    You’re yapping too much. Talking too much but not saying much.
    As for Lyft with its new CEO, things didn’t get better. Drivers making way less. 40% going to driver, 50% once in a while, 25-35% if it’s a surge ride. Lyft not surging as much. Lyft bonuses changed and sucks. Absolutely terrible on drivers end.
