I was so stuck on the edging of the granny square and this video saved me. Thank you so much for the clear explanation and the video was really enjoyable!
This video was so helpful! I found the original pattern on ravelry and got up to the part where you square up the circle and was super confused til I found your video! It's such an adorable bag
Glad I could help!
Same thing happened to me, thank you for making this video!
I am so so bad at written patterns thank you for this!! I have been wanting to make this bag forever 🥺 I plan on lining the inside with some fabric to keep it from stretching out!
Glad I could help!! The lining is a great idea
Thanks to you I was FINALLY able to learn how to crochet circles 😭😭
YAY I'm so glad!
Thank you for this video! I was having a hard time understanding the pattern's instructions for the 5th row. Now I can finish the bag.
Glad I could help!

Bro, when the geese started making noise, I started looking out my window (confused, i might add) and then died when you said they were yours 🤣🤣🤣

Cute bag. Cute cat. Happy birthday!!! 😎
Thank you thank you and thank you!!
This video inspired me to make a bag for my teen. I downloaded the pattee which is super simple to read. I don't like that we didn't get a tutorial on how to crochet the straps. That's a challenge. Thanks for the inspiration though.
Sorry I didn't include that part!
Cute all over! Happy birthday!
Ahh thank you!!
Beautiful ! I love it ! Feel better !
Thank you!
Love the bag also you are so pretty
You are too sweet, thank you
Hi. Was wondering what sz hook did you use? I have tried 3 different sizes now. I think I settled on a 4.25 I’m using yarn 4 6 oz Not the original yarn on pattern
I used a 5.5mm or I/9 hook!
Thanks for the tutorial but omfg your beautiful!!!!
ahhhhh you are too sweet
Thank you so much for this video! The bag is so cute and I can’t wait to finish it! Did you end up single crocheting the squares together?
Thank you!! Let me know how it turns out :D and yes I did end up single crocheting everything together
I keep tripping up on the corner of the border- Correct me if I'm wrong but in the same stitch you triple crochet 2x then chain two and triple crochet twice more? Or do you just triple crochet once, chain two, and triple crochet once more in the same stitch?
The second thing you said!
@@hobbymoth Thank you!! Appreciate the fast reply :)
Of course, let me know if it still doesn't work
Very cute ! My cat did the same like your cat ! hihihihi….
😁
tutorial starts at 9:24 for ppl who are wondering- i kept coming back to the vid and forgetting where i left off lmao
Thank you! I'll add timestamps tonight, thank you for reminding me
What hook size did you use? The bag looks so stinkin cute >:D
It’s a g hook or 4.25 millimeters the pattern is in the description and has all the materials listed
Awesome job! I'm working on this right now :-)
Yay!!
If you were selling these would you use the same yarn?
I would probably use Craftsmart yarn because it's nice to work with at an affordable price!
i am really struggling with the circles... i just dont get how i am supposed to start (i'm obviously a beginner)..
is it:
magic ring with 6 crochet
chain 2
decreace 11 times?
that just doesnt make sense to me..
please i want to make it so baaaad
No problem!! I'm bad at demonstrating lol. You can always click the original pattern which may be easier to follow too. Start with a magic circle, then chain 2, then do 11 double crochets into the magic circle. After that, you can pull the magic circle closed. Instert your hook into the top of the chain 2 that you started with and pull through so that your circle is complete. Then from there you can start the second ring of the circle by chaining two, double crocheting into the same stitch as the chains started in, then doing two double crochets in each stitch all the way around. No decreasing in the circle! Let me know if that helps
@@hobbymoth thank you it really does!! Last thing i need to know: i heard single crochet (US) is the same as double crochet (UK) is that true? so i have to single crochet? or like the american double form...? I already printed the pattern :D
@@just_pauline3161 oh I didn't know they were different! This pattern uses a US double crochet for the circle part. I'm not sure of the conversion but you should be able to look up the US stitches!
@@hobbymoth thank you so much!! This makes it so much easier since i'm used to the US terms
How do you get them all facing the right way?
There was a helpful guide on the pdf pattern on exactly how to line them up!
Thanks
That mustard looks like impeccable in the color gold
Oo you're right it does! Thank you
The only yarn I have is bulky, if I use a smaller hook, like a 5mm, will it still turn out okay?? 🥺
I would always use the hook recommended on the skein because if not it will most likely end up warped, especially if you use a smaller hook. You can always try one square with the yarn and different hook sizes to see how it turns out before you do the whole thing! It will pretty much just make a larger bag but the proportions should be fine :D
@@hobbymoth so I did end up using a 5mm but it came out awesome I'm back again to see how you did the border/straps bc that's the last step!!! I did strawberries instead of mushrooms 🥺💕
I wonder if the mushroom bag would be considered goblincore 🤷🏽♀️
Absolutely :D
Hello.
Hello!
I have no idea how to get the squares together properly, everytime i stitch them together they end up crooked or not in the right order even though im following the picture in the pattern🥲 im so confused
Hi! The first thing to check would be if there are an equal number of stitches on each side of the squares. If they are uneven, you may just need to make sure the first and last stitch line up and combine some stitches in the middle if that makes sense. As for the order, I myself had to undo and redo my squares a few times until I got it right, it's confusing!
Idk how much I'll be able to help, but feel free to message me a pic on insta @hobby_moth
Super cute
