Ur doing the right things by staying on top of it, staying in close contact with ur dr, and following his instructions. Allow urself to rest and recoup. I feel you and I hope you feel better soon. I'm a 60 yr old woman with RA and using power tools (especially sanders) can cause a flare that puts me down for days. It may take me 5x longer than most to build anything but I still do it. I took up woodworking and gardening after a couple of surgeries that made it impossible to use my treadmill and to lift weights. Weird trade off but I'm still moving and I have pretty things to show for it. lol

Us women are superhuman I’m blind 42 yr old mum of 3 big sons and my passion is diy and interiors my neighbours are just shocked at the skill set and my builder neighbour keeps threatening to sack his staff and hire me instead I’ve done up my entire house over 2 years and you my dear are inspiring to me I love nothing better than women doing diy also dean your amazing they should clone you 😂 and all husbands should be deans

I'm same, 70 and on crutches full time for seven years after an accident and there isn't anything DIY I want tackle, ladders are the hardest thing so partner made a metal set into a really good wooden step with grab rails 😅

Dear Andrea and Dean, you guys have takeing the ful advantage of the saying "When life gives you lemons, make lemonade." I'm also a diy girl, with a lot of chronic shit. I need much sleep because of my CVS/ME I'm a diabetic with lots of complications, but this cannot hold me back from my dìy projects. It is so much fun and gives a lot of satisfaction if you made something nice for your home, or to sell. I'm a full-time working, DIY wife as well and my husband has significant health issues and had to stop working last year, so I understand the struggle. Perfectly said! We all have obstacles, it is your actions which speak volumes when obstacles are approached. Autoimmune diseases cause havoc with your body, take care of yourself so you can live your life to its fullest. (30+ yrs living with several autoimmune issues and I am still going strong)! Thank you for sharing.

I have been following all of your videos from the first one ever posted. Love every one of them. Dean, you're a total comedian, always finding a way to be funny. It's nice to see you both keeping it real. Andrea, I hope you start feeling better soon. I know what you're going through after having a colonoscopy. It seems to me that the most creative people have the biggest challenges to overcome. (Speaking from experience, I'm a graphic designer and artist with paper and camera) I have RA myself, on top of Spinal Stenosis and IBS. Rest up and relax, that's the only thing that you can do right now. No matter what life throws at you, you come out the other side stronger than before. 😊

I am praying for you Andrea! My mom and my sister has Crohn's, and I know how difficult it can be to deal with (unfortunately my sister succumbed to the disease last year). I am so grateful that things are ok, thanks for the update Dean! Take it easy Andrea, we can wait to see what you build. Your health is more important than us! And the sock thing, I find them everywhere around my house, inside and out. Why is my question do kids do that?🤦🏼♀️

Hope all is well with your health, Andrea. Relived, as I know you all are as well, that there is no cancer. Getting the rest we need as busy parents holding down demanding jobs is a real challenge. Learning to pace yourself is just a never ending process, I find. Every time a good rhythm is established, something else comes along to just toss a big ole monkey wrench in it lol.

I had to have a colon resection in 2009 so I’ve had to have several colonoscopies for monitoring and am up to every 4 yrs now. 🎉😂 Hope you get to feeling better soon! All Dean’s kind words are true.
