    So excited that a Readwise database video will be coming! I was an early user of the Reader and love it. I tried Snipd and found that my Snips were often off by a few seconds and it was a chore to edit it to the right clipping (especially whilst listening at work!). Have you had an issues with that or have you seen improvements? Thank you, as always, for your work and great content!

    Drool. I am getting ready for 2024 so this is something I will definitely incorporate.

    19:08 I prefer using the Snipd export to Notion vs Readwise cause the Snipd database adds a lot of details and info that doesn’t get added to Readwise!

    Hi Simon, why is the Knowledge Hub not part of Resources within PARA? Still trying to get my head around all of this.

      Resources is really just a way of filtering everything by itself: so if you relate notes and knowledge to a resource: you can use that view to see all of them within that view. I don’t actually put anything in Areas / Resources database other than titles and relate to those entries. It also means you can link things like contacts and journal entries to the resource too. Hope that helps! :)

    As a 3yr daily notion user, notion's workarounds for this are really clunky and cumbersome. Knowledge capture is best left to others like obsidian, loqseq, tana, etc

      Yeah - still a little clunky to set up - but I do find it easy to use once created. The best thing is that it integrates with where I create stuff - so worth it for me.

    waaaaaay too complicated. the best software for this is still to be designed, but if this is it, well, this isn’t it.

      It doesn’t feel like that to use. I just add a link or take a highlight and it’s there for me! :)

      @christophercarr6609 7 місяців тому +1

      No, not complicated. Just detailed. And, if you’re capturing knowledge, that’s exactly what you need!

    • @HippieP629
      @HippieP629 7 місяців тому

      @@christophercarr6609 I'm sorry but it's not. Tools like obsidian are much better equipped at this. As a daily notion user, it's too clunky and overly robotic when both capturing and actually connecting knowledge together. I'd even say something like Tana would be a better fit.

      Depends on the view! The wallpapers on my desk top are the new animated landscapes in Mac Sonoma + some found Desert images… is that what you are referencing? Thanks for watching :)
