I love Mitch, his charisma, his little grins, crawling on the floor!!! (My heart may have stopped for a second!). I heard there were a few Red Bulls possibly consumed beforehand. I love your PTX reactions!
There are ten or twelve performances from the Star Vista. Mitch is just as crazy in all of them. Also, if you want to see a bunch of different Mitchie reactions, check out there AHA cover from the Dallas concert the next year. ua-cam.com/video/8YTTqxN7Nm4/v-deo.html The crowd is a bit louder, but the production value is great, and you get to see everyone. Plus their live Daft Punk is there too.
FINALLY!!! I watch this video on a regular basis. Best live video out there. Mitch is my favourite and I love it when you can see him feel the music and himself.
Kirstie and Scott blended so well that it's hard to hear their parts. They do have a video of the cover of Aha, it's an Imogen Heap song. Kevin was beat boxing but wasn't on stage in beginning because he was putting his cello away. And the person taking the video never focused on him when he got on stage. But yes, definitely a Kevin, Avi and Mitchie Mitch song!
I really would love to see PTX live, they sound awesome. From what I’ve read, Keven did beatbox on the stage, but he arrived late, because he was doing a solo performance with his cello just before, so joined the group once he put his cello back stage. It’s a shame the phone didn’t show Keven, but for a live performance, with a crowd around the person filming on their phone, it was still a brilliant performance. Can’t wait for the next PTX or SUPER FRUIT reaction. Stay safe xxx
It's so weird to think that Mitch had so much performance anxiety when he was younger and he said he still get's very anxious before a show, but once he's on that stage he gives it his all. I love him
This is one of my favorite of their performances, simply because of Mitch's amazing lead and because this song is so much different from their usual. Love it!
At the beginning they were singing the mottetto "Christus factus est" (Latin) composed by Anton Bruckner. They performed just the first three lines: "Christus factus est pro nobis / Obediens usque ad mortem / Mortem autem [crucis]" (this last word has been left out by Avi). It was used as an overture to "Aha!" originally by Imogen Heap.
Here's the link to that college performance of "Christus Factus Est". That's Avi about 1/3 of the way from the left in the back row, with shaggy hair and beard, not long before Ben Bram and Scott stole him away from college to join PTX for The Sing Off. ua-cam.com/video/BIn-wM5sVM0/v-deo.html
Kevin is there. It was filmed by a fan at a concert, so that explains why the recording is a bit rough. But Mitch is definitely the star of Star Vista.
Lol Jennifer beat me to it! Was going to have you watch the official video first, the difference is ahhhhmazing 😋. Oh well, I'm sure we will get around to it 😎. Great as always 👍
Aha! is originally a song by Imogen Heap from the UK. PTX did a cover video to her song and made it kinda creepy, you NEED to do a reaction to it! Plus the sound is way better! 😀
Hell, I've seen them tons of times in concert- with kevin right there with them, and i still forget there's no backing track. Thats how good they are! :)
My favorite comment is from Anessa Lyn: “I have 2 questions for you? You awake now? How's your heart? Avi blew the speakers, Mitch took off the roof. But him on the floor moving towards the audience, you know guys and girls in the front row probably needed CPR.”
PTX, cover of AHA - Christus Est.... reminds me of choir, lovely. This live version really rocks. AHA! - Imogene Heaps song. Mitch is a magnificent show to hear and see. Thanks so much.
That is their awesome live version...now you can check out the version of the studeo recorded one. It's very different but shows how great they are at bringing their music live.
Please make reaction to Diana Ankudinova - the most unique young talented singer. One of my favourite things to find and enjoy is music that gives me chills and goosebumps. I was cruising UA-cam recently and discovered a Russian talent show contestant that did just that, with one of the best, most unique voices I've heard in many years. Her delivery was nothing short of magical and I searched out more and more and more, and...more chills. I was stunned to find that the first performance I heard was when she was 14!!!! She's now 17 and still developing. She sings in Russian, French, English and Arabic. The covers she performed on that show are very popular on UA-cam. Many UA-camrs publish reactions on these performances, which include the ethnic song "River" (in a new musical arrangement), "Blizzard", "Wicked Game", "Human", "Derniere Danse", "Helwa Ya Baladi" and others. Please react to one of Diana's songs and I promise she will surprise you.

I think I like watching your reactions as much as PTX. It's hilarious when you say "boys" but add some "girls" in there too!!! Avi was my favorite. His sister was still their manager when he left, so kind of makes you wonder if there was another reason. (Besides missing family.) I honestly think he didn't get enough singing time as he wanted as a lead vocalist. But the world may never know.
Loved seeing your reaction!! Mitch and Avi are indeed brilliant in this performance. If you have a few minutes in your day, listen to this again and focus your ears on Kevin's beatboxing. It is insanity!! In their concerts, Kevin would perform a cello boxing solo before this song. Please, please, please either watch it on your own or react to it. UA-cam search Kevin Olusola Cello Bach Prelude Suite #1 from City Beautiful Attractions. 2 mins and 25 seconds into the video he begins.
Avi did blow his speaker at the beginning (not the first time either lol) he and Mitch were to do a duet a bit later into song but you can hear the distortion from Avi's mike...& I think itaffected Kevins beat boxing as well lol. it's a cover from Imogen Heap there is a video of PTX doing this as well...This was filmed in the audience from a 'Mitch' fan lol. I think also there is another clip from this live show which is also excellent.
I heard the the intro was written & added to the cover to give Kevin a break between songs. I never heard the song before PTX but it’s a cover. Speaking of, have you reacted to Come Along? Highly recommend it ☮️💟😷
Like imagine if they sound this good on a cell phone video how good they sound when you are there! My favorite concert ever. I cant wait till they can tour again!
Watch the official video for aha and you'll understand the song more. It is also very very early PTX. The choral part at the beginning was written because Kevin who's on the far right is putting away his cello. Since avi is classically trained, his mother was an opera singer, he wrote the choral piece. Just as Avi hits the low notes you can see Mitch move over. There after there is no longer a huge space between Mitch and Kirsty. At533Right before Mitch goes on to his knees the low rumbled you here is avy blowing out the speakers.
I can't believe you had not reacted to this one before! I would so have loved to have been at this performance, more so than any other, I think. Mitch was totally "on" that night! I have seen Kevin say that this was one of the most challenging songs for him to do. I think you should also watch/react to their official video for this one. It is more of a story-telling video than some of their others that are straight performances. This song "Aha" is a cover of Imogen Heap's. She is someone that Mitch has been inspired by according to some interviews I have seen. The Imogen Heap version of this song, especially live, is very, very different with all of those sounds that Kevin and Avi are doing are being done by various items. It is unique for sure! I know BTW...I love your "Lego Movie" theme song snippet! LOL
The person recording is a Mitch fan so that is why the focus is on him and because Mitch is amazing. Kevin is there. At the beginning he was putting his cello away. He returns beside Scott and everyone moves over. Kevin does a solo cello piece at the concerts.
Avi joyously shredding the theater's sound system and Mitch going insane after consuming two Red Bulls backstage (he was supposedly suffering from jet lag), resulting in the live performance that most Pentaholics call the best of their career!! And to make it even more legendary, it was apparently only caught on video by this one fan's phone!! This song is a cover and an official video exists of the studio version. Avi is doing the bass and Kevin (not seen on camera) is doing the beatboxing.
Thank you for this reaction. Do have say...as this PTX cover was off their first album, I’ve seen many live versions of this song posted...yes this one shows off Mitch’s performance skills but you miss so much as the audio quality is not great and you can’t see the stage. Hopefully you will watch the official video or the many alternate live versions if you want to see/hear the mad skills they all have.
This is one of the songs where Avi broke the sound system with that super low note. so between that and cell phone recording is likely why the sound is off.
Amateur concert recordings can have varying levels of audio quality - some very good, some not so good. Also, singers' ability to hit (and hold) high notes as well as their performance intensity may change from show to show. Mitch was definitely feeling his oats during his Star Vista performance in Singapore (June 1, 2015). Yahoo Live Nation actually streamed a couple of their concerts - March 15, 2015 (Wallingford, Connecticut) and May 11, 2016 (Raleigh, North Carolina); the audio quality is excellent. Those full concerts are still on YT. Here are the links (set lists & videos - I cued the video links to the Aha performances): en.wikipedia.org/wiki/On_My_Way_Home_Tour (includes the Star Vista concert stop) ua-cam.com/video/ckWwCtFmgSw/v-deo.html en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pentatonix_World_Tour ua-cam.com/video/XGkCj5GhMdM/v-deo.html
I can't believe you still haven't reacted to PTX Sound of Silence. If you have, I can't find it. It's where I first started really appreciating Matt (yeah, I'm an Avi fan). I came to love him once I saw him in You're a Mean One Mr. Grinch - which I also recommend.
Oh trust that everyone’s doing something throughout the whole song lol! I personally never liked the quality of this video but I guess I understand it’s suggested all the time because of Avi and Mitch though they’re amazing! Please please though watch the official video, it’s an Imogen Heap cover! I don’t think people appreciate the intricacies of this arrangement enough, there’s so much going on! You can really hear it when you listen to the studio version too! So impressive! 🤯😍👏🏾🙌🏾❤️
Kevin was putting his cello back in the beginning and then he came back to stage, but the camera never paned back to him. if you want to hear their parts clearer you should watch their official video
Watch/React to their Official Video of Aha also, that way you get to see more of what is going on, understand the song, and it is more of an 80's style video. You will love it and we will love seeing you do it. HERE, Mitch beat this song into submission and RULED it. He was feeling himself and really fed off the energy of the audience.
I love this live performance but if you want to see all of them performing then check out the official video. It's a cover of an Imogen Heap song. Whilst this shows Mitch's insane talent (and obviously filmed by a Mitch fan) I prefer the official one as it lets you take in more of the lyrics and see the full band. Another great reaction, thank you.
Love your reaction! It's a shame that the video didn't show everyone but if they had to focus on only one person, then for this song it had to be Mitch.
Part of the "poor audio" is that Avi DID mess with the speakers in that first massive low note. It's a shame because when he and Mitch were playing off each other was awesome.
The number of things that went into this performance's execution are insane when you break it down. They added Christus Factus Est to the beginning so Kevin would have a chance to put his cello away from the previous song, which was one of his cello solos, without being needed onstage. He rejoins when the song switches, but you can't see him because the camera focuses on Avi and then Mitch. That low note from Avi in the transition from Christus Factus Est to Aha actually DID in fact shred the Star Vista's sound system; that's largely the culprit to the poorer sound quality throughout the song, as videos of other songs from this person at this venue were mostly okay in that regard. You can hear near the end that Avi's poor mic is just completely dying. Mitch was suffering from severe jet lag during this show and when he went backstage during Kevin's solo he drank two whole Red Bulls back-to-back. You can practically see the moment those Red Bulls kick in when Aha starts, and they were a huge factor to his huge and insane energy this performance. I've seen many Pentaholics regard this performance as one of the best live ones they've ever done, and all because of a string of strange coincidences. Love this group so much.
I know I’m late to the party & someone might have answered your question about what Scott was doing bc he wasn’t the lead. Just in case no one knew or told you, Scott is actually doing arguably the best and biggest job. What is that you may ask? He basically did most or all of Kevin’s job as the vocal percussionist (aka beat boxer). Not only will he do this in place of Kevin when he can’t make it to a live performance/tour date [which is really really rare for Kev to miss. In their tour vlog, he brought his then fiancé, now his wife and just became the mom who gave birth to the 1st member/current president & CEO of the “Pentababy Club” in early April) on the entire world tour with him. Once things get settled & they start touring the world, I can see y’all on a separate tour bus equipped with everything the baby needs. So he won’t miss a milestone like baby’s first steps, they figured out how to rule on their back during tummy time, baby’s first words, first concert, etc... Ok
Reason you don't see Kevin on stage is he's putting his cello away he'll join the rest shortly. Also the person who recorded this seriously loves Mitch! 😁 This is cover of Imogen Heap Extra... I prefer the music video to this live recording Aha is by English musician Imogen Heap If you don't do reaction I still say you should check her out
It is an Imogen Heap cover. They also have a music video for it but this live is just iconic. LOVE IT! I think a fan recorded that with his phone and I guess he/she liked Mitch the best. Maybe you can watch the music video to compare: ua-cam.com/video/qxY9qkfZMI8/v-deo.html Kevin is also there, you can hear him but not see. He said in an interview that he found the beatboxing to this sound the most hardest to learn.
No hate intended, seriously. But that simply means you are not a Pentaholic, which is perfectly fine. The fans that have been there from their beginnings in 2011 are die hard committed, and we can pick up nuances that non fans don't. It's understandable. No fault of yours. I don't get other die hard fans of other artists that I like, but don't necessarily follow all of their struggles and achievements. Peace & Love! ❤️
@@jenniferdoolittle6935 I am a confirmed Pentaholic and my only complaint about this was the poor quality of the recording. They are too good to have this be something that a first-time listener might judge them on and miss their wonderful recordings. My personal favorite is "Can You Feel The Love Tonight", although there are probably 20 more that are a close 2nd.
@@bingobillable Wow. I soooo love this video due the Mitch's flawless performance. And I realize we all have different tastes, even when it comes to PTX music! ❤️ (I personally don't like "Can You Feel The Love Tonight") Kirstin's cleavage is very distracting and I think it takes something away from their performance). xc

Apparently, Avi did blow out part of the sound system doing this song. Not surprised.
Yep, all of the low end was really fuzzy after that epic powerful low note at the and of the intro. Blown woofer.
One time he actually broke the speakers during a live performance. I don't remember which video it was but I will put the link once I find it

Also keep in mind that Avi blew out the speakers on the low note
love ur reactionsss ❤️please could you react to shawn mendes documentary ❤️

Please react to their performance of Telephone at Starvista, Singapore 🙏
Love your reaction! It's a shame that the video didn't show everyone but if they had to focus on only one person, then for this song it had to be Mitch.
Just wait....
Part of the "poor audio" is that Avi DID mess with the speakers in that first massive low note. It's a shame because when he and Mitch were playing off each other was awesome.
Ohhhhhhh shit. As soon as I see a new react to this pop up on my list, I click so fucking fast!
welcome to mavi, newfie
I’m here for the Mitch reaction!
The distortion was because it was filmed on someone’s phone in the crowd.
Mitch is the star of that performance. The others are still doing their thing, the recording just doesn't pick up the finer parts.
Kevin is there, although you never see him. He comes on on the other side of Scott.
Ok
By the way, your accent is adorable.
Eeeeevul Mitch!
He broke the speaker
Reason you don't see Kevin on stage is he's putting his cello away he'll join the rest shortly. Also the person who recorded this seriously loves Mitch! 😁
This is cover of Imogen Heap
Extra... I prefer the music video to this live recording
Aha is by English musician Imogen Heap
If you don't do reaction I still say you should check her out
So I'm not the only one who prefers the Pentatonix official video. Good to know. lol. Seriously, I watch it almost every day.
It is an Imogen Heap cover. They also have a music video for it but this live is just iconic. LOVE IT!
I think a fan recorded that with his phone and I guess he/she liked Mitch the best.
Maybe you can watch the music video to compare: ua-cam.com/video/qxY9qkfZMI8/v-deo.html
Kevin is also there, you can hear him but not see. He said in an interview that he found the beatboxing to this sound the most hardest to learn.
You can’t see in this video, but in the “pose” toward the end, Mitch is signaling to the others when he is going to start singing again.
One direction reaction videos pls
Zayn Malik pillowtalk reaction pls
Pls reaction zayn malik let me
This fan video just can't handle Avi's bass; that's why it's distorted. This was obviously made by a Mitch fan.
Zayn Malik Entertainer reaction pls
Never have understood the popularity of this poorly recorded video.
❤️ (I personally don't like "Can You Feel The Love Tonight") Kirstin's cleavage is very distracting and I think it takes something away from their performance). xc
