Just think of your average paperback book that has glue as the primary form of spine support. The glue will eventually dry out and crack, and the book will fall apart. Yes, the covers are attractive, but what makes a book last has everything to do with structures that a casual observer would never notice.

yo pego con cola vinílica especial para fotos y las tapas no las pego con cinta, en un foto libro con muchas fotos ese sistema podrá ser rápido pero no es confiable, es para libros de aficcionados o fotos de viaje, pero no para un fotógrafo profesional o alguien que invierte en la fiesta de su boda miles de dólares.

Wait, it's a purely adhesive binding AND the pastedown are only held to the cover by double-sided tape?! This book is going to turn brittle and fall apart well before the grandkids find it.

They don't use the power of magic elves to bring together the transcendence of unicorn hair and the magic of your wedding to build a powerful object destined to bind you and your wife together in harmonious bliss... No, they use simple techniques like this. They DO use glue, they DO use tape...
This is the worst and ugliest thing I have ever seen regarding bookbinding. That is not bookbinding, that's instant crap. That "album" won't last more than one year. It's sad that so many people are interested on the "cheap", "quick" and "easy" way instead of turning to something of real quality, something that will actually last a lifetime.
