Tim Harrell - Florida Everglades Trail Camera Pickup
Вставка
- Опубліковано 30 бер 2024
- Five months of trail camera action from the internationally famous "Broke Back Trail." I didn't expect to wait to retrieve this trail camera. I was surprised that it was there and still working even after having over 300 30-second videos. As usually, Broke Back Trail proved to be one of my favorite trail camera spots of all time. I always get plenty of bears, deer, bobcats, Florida panthers and sometimes some surprise visitors like eastern spotted skunks and wild hogs.

Congrats Tim on your ghost orchid transplant
Hey Tim
Thx for the tour. always look forward to your vids,
I'm from the panhandle and luv seeing the panthers, may have to buy one of their car tags this year :-)
Thx for the time and effort look forward to the next one....
✌️
Thanks for watching!
Wow a spotted skunk
Love your videos, appreciate all you do to get and post these videos ❤
Love you videos!!! I rarely comment but I gotta mention that LONG LEGGED bear!!! I have never seen one with such long legs!!! Thanks so much for all the work you do to share our beautiful Florida wildlife with us!!!
Thanks Julie. I've always thought it was interesting to see the different body shapes and colors of the bears. I imagine the long-legged ones are the ones that have been down here the longest walking around in the water. I'd say the short fat ones walked down here from up north.
Once again Tim great video of the real Floridians. It is a shame that in another 10 years we may not see any animals left here in Florida.
Eh a lot of these animals are more adaptable than we think.
Good to see you Tim. Happy Easter, if you celebrate. That Momma Boar looked as big as the bear. She was a big girl. I thought maybe the two big cats were a cougar and a bobcat. But you said panther, so, it must be. Thank you so much for sharing all the critters with us. I truly enjoy your videos. Take good care of yourself and stay away from them gators. xo
We don't have cougers here, by definition, but a subspecies called a panther. Very confusing to many for some reason.
Panther is a colloquial term. There's no such thing as a "panther" as Panther includes cougars, leopards and jaguars.
@@blobbertmcblob4888 The only animal accepted by science to be a panther, is the Florida Panther. Outside of the named subspecies of puma, panther is only an adjective used to describe cats with black fur.
Thank you. I always look for your comments. :)
The water was very deep in the first week of March along the I-75 corridor and along the Tamiami Trail.
Of all the trails to be under water, it had to be this one!!! Be safe, Tim. I am so glad to see you are doing well. I look forward to your TCPU. Hope your Easter was filled with joy, blessings and candy.
This was a great one!!! ❤
Been a while but worth waiting for. Great pics Tim.
Thanks again
More to come!
Sure look forward to your videos thanks
Thanks for watching!
Thank you for making these videos!
Wonderful work with the transplant of the ghost orchid. Nothing succeeds like success!
Incredible, incredible, INCREDIBLE video!! I do a lot of wildlife photography, mostly here in Middle Georgia. This video compilation has convinced me that I need to broaden my horizon with a trail cam or two or three or ... Thank you so much for sharing this with us!! I look forward to watching many, many more!!
Thank you, I really appreciate that. Put a trail camera on a bird bath in your yard and you'll be amazed at what you get.
Awesome , Thanks Tim 😊
Thanks for another great video. With all that water and a possible gator i would have left the camera for another day. You are a very brave person.
Thank you for the time and effort you put on getting these videos out for us. You’ve quickly become my favorite channel!
Thank you, I really appreciate that.
Nice one Tim!
Hooray Enjoyed!!!
Always good to see you and your videos!
Thanks for sharing!
Great episode!! 127 videos of the fern cracked me up :) Thank you for these awesome videos.
17:27 what a beauty! Gorgeous!
Love your videos. I’d be so scared to trek thru that water.
Great Video! Thank you for making this content!
Glad you enjoy it!
I appreciate your love for the glades
The spotted Skunk and the Cardinals were cool to see. :)
Thank you Tim. another great video. Always enjoy your adventures.
Glad you enjoyed it
Love your videos. I dont know how you dont get lost in all that growth
On the same day a few hours apart two cats on the same trail is pretty cool.
Thanks for the video. We had a really rainy winter so there was water everywhere even in February and March. The times I went out in BCNP there was still water in places where it is usually dry in the winter. Hopefully the panthers pick off a few of those hogs.
Spotted skunk cool
Oh that's what kind it was. :) So neat to see. Thnx! :)
I'm a retired horticulturist. Nice job with the Ghost orchid.
I really enjoy your videos.
Thanks for sharing.
Another great video! Much appreciated TIm!
Awesome video. Thanks.
So cool of you to do that!
Good video, thanks for sharing!
Amazing video 👍
Thanks, much appreciated
Did you ever notice how the ghost flower is the image of a cowboy? You can see his ten gallon hat, his arms hanging down, his bow legs, and I think I see a bushy beard. If you look closely between those legs you can see how none of his main anatomy was left out. Tim, are you married? We're fans of yours and know so little about you. What is your occupation? Have you truly never run into a diamondback while walking through that high grass? We want to believe that you know things that we don't is the reason you stay so safe, and not just a compulsive idiot. And that's what I believe, you are smart---and likeable.
Thank you very much. I'm not married. I have a boring 9-5 job so I guess I get enthusiastic when I get out in the woods. I've seen a couple diamond backs on my hikes. They are not that common in the swampy areas. Water moccasins are another story. :)
Happy Easter... Thank you for sharing! You always end up with some great wildlife shots! It's always an enjoyment to see one of your videos pop up! 👍
Wow great variety of footage! It’s nice to see the bear and opossum as well as footage of you walking through the swamp! Thanks for sharing
hello.
Let me ask.
Are there snakes in this location?
Here in Brazil it is impossible not to wear snake guards when walking in the woods.
Have you ever thought about using one?
Another fantastic video, I really like your videos.
He has a video a while back of a snake on the road.
Yes. Python, rattlesnake, cotton mouth, coral snake and more.
@@hillslide
@@hillslide Here in my region we have a predominance of 3 dangerous snakes.
I will put the scientific name, as we have several regional names for each snake.
Bothrops alternatus, Bothrops jararacussu, Crotallus durissus.
We also have the coral snake, but we rarely hear about it here in the region, there are few reports.
Bothrops Alternatus, we even have a popular phrase here in Brazil.
"Urutu, when it doesn't kill, it maims."
I don't go into the forest without having protection on my legs against snakes.
You never know when you will encounter a snake.
I love your videos.
Hey Tim! It’s good to see a video from you. Take care❣️
Another epic video! Love the panthers and bobcats. Great to see them doing well! Thanks!
Well Done, Brotherman!
Happy Easter Monday! Awesome video of the variety of animals that past your camera. Stay safe. We look forward to your trail cams & seeing the Ghost Orchids. 😃
Active path for sure. Nice cat too.
great little highway.
Aloha Tim! Happy Easter! So glad you were able to avoid🐊! Great pics! I kept hoping to see that beautiful Panther with a Piglet🐗 or a Possum in her mouth!☺Great video!
thank you for bringing this to my living room ....happy easter .... keep up the good work.. T H A N X
Very nice video Tim. A place with lots of wildlife. Wonderful mother bear and her cub. Greetings from Spain.
Love your videos!
Thank you!
Always fun to check the trail cam and see who visited the area. Very nice collection of critters in your area. Look forward to more of your videos. Is the Browning your favorite trail camera to use?
Think he said it was. :)
Missed you, Tim! Thanks for another great video - love the humour, too. I can’t believe you still walk through water after your alligator encounter. I’m scared for you!!! 🇨🇦
Glad you enjoyed it
Wow! That was a Beautiful skunk at: 14:17~! :) Loved seeing the Panthers, Bobcats, Deer. Awesome Tim. Ty. God Bless~! :)
I've only seen 3 skunks on my cameras in 7 years. They must be pretty rare.
Great video Tim, another great episode from the swamp! Enjoyed watching 👍 👍
Glad you enjoyed it
Great video! Been watching for years. Reminds me of the days as a kid growing up in Florida! Keep up the great work buddy.
Thank you, much appreciated.
Great video ❤❤❤
Thank you!!
I’m so happy to see you back in your element and to see so many of your ghost orchids greeting you with flower spikes! I’m not surprised Just Hanging Out took to your move so well because it’s you. I can’t wait to see what the summer brings with your videos, I have a good feeling 😊. Thank you for always brightening up my day.
Thank you very much!
Tim, you have great videos and are doing a great job promoting conservation!
Thank you. That's what I'm trying to do.
Such a great video Tim! Good variety. The skunk ❤ That was some thick brush on your way out. Looking forward to this summer’s stuff and seeing the orchids bloom!
Thank you. I've only seen 3 skunks on my cams in 7 years. It looks like this could be a good summer for the orchids.
Greetings from a former Miamian now living in the mountains of North Carolina in Asheville. The bears here roam downtown and steal our backyard bird feeders. Thanks for the memories , from a former Big Cypress and Everglades trekker. MW
Thanks Michael. My parents have a place in Lenoir. I get up that way once in a while.
Thank you. Wild hogs look like they are multiplying and need some thinning.
I was holding my breath when you were walking in the water 😅 Those ghost orchids are so special❤ great captures Tim thanks for sharing
Glad you enjoyed it
I can't help thinking that there's a federal task force watching Tim's videos, planning to pounce on him one day, and rappelling down ropes from helicopters. I imagine a 90K fine for transplanting a ghost orchid without a permit.
Sincerely, hope you are wrong!
LOL! Hope they have better things to do, but maybe they don't. ;)
Yikes, I hope that's not the case.
Awesome video thank you. I’m so glad you helped that orchid and did not just let it die on a fallen tree! It shows how much you care for conserving our wild places and the flora and fauna there! Thank you. I didn’t know there was a gator scare in that water… is there a link to which video? You’re braver than me- I don’t think I’d go through any of that water. Great spot for trail cam. Thanks again.
Thank you. I did post the "gator incident" video around July 24 of 2022. I think the excitement happened around the 11 minute mark.
Perfect
Have you tried putting hot sauce or hot peppers around your camera on the tree!! They have some pretty hot peppers on the market. Might be worth a try! Just be sure you wear heavy duty plastic gloves!! Good luck. I love your videos very very much!! Thanks for sharing! Faye
I’m sorry to see the pigs and where you film. But the mother pig feed her babies right under your camera was cute. I look forward to your next video.
It's great to see so many small mammals still alive in the Everglades. The pythons have cleared them out in some spots from what I have heard. And I'm really happy to see so many big kitties.
That's a load of nonsense. The pythons haven't "cleared" anything out. People just say that because they need to drum up hatred for an animal that was put there because of humans in the first place.
They are still out there in overall high numbers, but not nearly as high as they used to be. But it’s not all because of the pythons, but they are somewhat responsible for sure. Anyways, is this camera in area where pythons are well established? That’s something else we need to look at
WOW!!! ❤❤❤
All I thought about was alligators. You are brave.
Looks' like there were lots critters of all sorts..
You are a man after my own heart. I've only been trail camming for a couple of years but have become very addicted. Which is your very favorite camera?
Thank you. Any of the browning cameras are my favorite. I’ve never had a browning malfunction.
Great content again. So much water, I agree. So was it just to the amount of rainfall or no where for water to drain into that has caused this? I don't know the area at all. Great ghost orchid tree transfer.
Thank you. The water doesn't drain out of these sloughs. That water is just standing water that hasn't had a chance to evaporate.
@@ShrikeZone Didn't the Everglades Restoration folks remove some canals north of there?
👍✌️
Great video, as always, Maybe you can raise the camera position but strap a wedge so it looks down some to get the critters.
make it harder for the bears to reach it.
Have a great day, stay safe, watch out for all the nasty critters.
Thank you. I like the eye-to-eye contact with the bears as long as they don't damage the camera. I know I've been luck at that spot.
👍
Lots of bear . I don’t know, I didn’t see your puma. Great job saving the Ghost. You almost need a helmet and visor to get through that brush.
In that area they call it Florida Panther.
So did the lion/panther get the wild pig we could hear grunting
Okay thought you said Rudy, but you're saying Rooty. ;) You did right for the ghost orchids, good for you. :) Can you put some bear repellant on the camera so they don't try to eat it? Just curious. :)
Yes, it's "Rooty" :) I don't mind the bears sniffing the camera as long as they don't damage it. I know I've been lucky with that camera. The Browning cameras have a pretty hard shell.
Careful, Tim -- scare it off!
20:09
That's a pretty pig
I love how people act like the wild hogs are this horrible, destructive force and I'm sure they can be. But people act like they root up everything around them 24/7.
Tell me you wear snake boots / chaps!
👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
You might want to put the fishing line loose before the tree keeps growing and cuts the roots on the plant
What is it about your camera that attracts the bears?
I believe it's Tim's scent on them. Wondering if he could get his scent off of them, or put bear repellent on the cameras?
Where is brokeback trail?
Apparently, you are not using lithium batteries in your browning cam. My B. Cams do not show a percentage of the lithium battery life. I have been advised/told not to use anything but lithium. Doesn't your extreme humidity/rain storms cause alkaline batteries to disintegrate?
💥 *promo sm*
Love the bears. But god they’re stupid
"G"od, & we don't take our Lord's name in vain! God made those bears! God Bless!
Get out of Fakahatchee or credit the video.
Great video Tim I was wondering which Browning trail cam you like the most
Thank you. I've only used the Browing Recon Force line of cameras. I've never had one let me down.
