I've been a fan of the brothers Shiflett for a while now. They do great stuff with those sculptures of theirs.

The highly finished and 'polished' look of many fantasy sculptutres and the consequent sameness of them all is a shame. These guys seem to have [ dare I say ] broken that mold.

Great vid, love Schiflett Bros work, would be fantastic to see their studio, and the pieces that they didn't sell and stuff they collected.

Gotta agree on this guy's opinions about having raw unfinished sculptures, I definitely get a franm frazzeta / borris vellejo feel from these. Awesome.

Damn they are good. I can see the Frazetta influence for sure. I'm not very familar with Mobius' work, I'll take their word for it.

It seems like they're talking about the sculpting equivalent of sketching. I'm more of the opinion that nothing is ever polished enough, but this work is incredible regardless.
