I finally got that amp delivered on December 16th and I haven't had a chance to get it installed yet due to work schedule.
But now after seeing the dyno results, I kinda feel bad for my new Orion HCCA subwoofer....

This thing is a monster. I’m loving it. I mean yeah it being able to dial in the crossover with the knob is annoying but it’s an amp I paid $300 for that does over rated power and it’s tiny as hell. My 4 channel is 40% bigger and I haven’t got it hot yet and have been blasting with my voltage staying over 14.5

Did you ever imagine an amp this size doing over 5K? I recall when a 1000 watt amp was twice the size of this puppy. Oh yeah, and cost around a dollar per watt. (VS. around $.09/watt here)

@@alphaomega8373 on Full bridge amps I lower the gain and stop pretty quick when the amp distorts... otherwise they will pop... I have lost several full bridge amps doing uncertified tests.

if it cant pass the test , it isnt stable at that ohm load , so basically he is saying its not stable at 1ohm cuz he has to cut the test lol . smart 3 .5ohm uncertified back to back does not die.
@@mazda2284 smart 3 has a limiter, these do not. I Can take a Taramps 1 ohm MD5000, a Taramps HD5000 and if I crank the gain and run full bore the amp will pop.

Love it too bad if you leave it on too long under ohms it will blow as facekicker showed. If you need an idea for another amp try the Wolfram 8k the bigger one that looks more powerful.

Literally two amps bridged already sharing the same board=full bridge.... thanks for the content, first time running with a full bridge sundown sfb 8k, doing great 👍 so far 7 month of USACI, and Demos clamped 6743 at 13.8 wired too 1.33 on 3, psi platform 2, 18s... with all the shit I talk I’ve been really impressed....
Nice video! I would suggest calling it full bridge instead of Brazilian style, since it's actually a full bridge design and all Brazilian amps just happen to be full bridge.

I run 2 C-2400s strapped in my car and I just put the O-5000 in my SUV a couple weeks ago. I'm very impressed with them especially at the price point. Thanks for the dyno.

@@allmotorhash I haven't really had the time to fine-tune it so I can't say I like the O more but it's does certainly put out rated power.
If you want a good amp to test that's never been tested try a Hifonics BRZ 12000.1D Yes there very expensive but I got a good feeling that it will do 6k rms. You can still get them brand new on ebay too bad there over $1000. If not that amp try a BG 4000 or a BXX 4000 from Hifonics.

I've seen all the vids.. you're just a BROKE NOOB whom can only afford ROCKVILLE and not real amps

But iv herd alot of back and forth on the new oxygen line from wolfram that there not good for bass there a better mids and highs amp..what are you thought on that.

More efficient than the Sundown
Ok here is an amp that I'm interested in but cannot seem to find any dyno for it. The Soundqubed U1-3000 and the U1 - 5000. Both full range amps.
Get a CC-1 so you know exactly where to set crossovers. Best tool I've got besides my oscope and Snap On drill.
I'd rather use my $20 DMM that will set crossover frequencies just as good
@@beardedforlife3740 Thing is, a DMM will only get you kind of close when it comes to gain structure in the first place. Oscope is where it is at. The CC-1 is really quick and accurate, especially for test environments and quick gain matching

@ThunderCat three fans on a full range is a simple, but hell of an accomplishment considering you want your amp to run as cool as possible. Even though they're all similar the price of the wolfram is like getting a cadillac for the chevy price

Any amp that makes this much power will consume that many amps, that is a fact... regardless of the cost of the amp... so yes the savings you had on the amp should go to funding a proper electrical system...

Hi I think this amp can handle the Sundown X12 v2 dual 2 ohms 1500 rms bass?
Could you explain the difference between 4 ohm Dynamic results showing Amp pull 171.6 but during the live test your meter read 85.8? it's probably something simple i'm overlooking, but I am interested in running one of these at 4 ohms until I get my H/O Alt.
I know this is a year later,but he only had 1 of the power wires clamped during the live test.

No, just run 1 rca cable.. just make sure you have your preouts set to subwoofer or mono..

@Clint Lavender I have high hopes for my Trauma 3.5k amp. Still haven't hooked it up yet because my cheap Taramps Smart3 has yet to disappoint me. So my Trauma Concussion is still sitting brand new in its box where its been since I got it back in October. I really should hook it up & see how drastic the improvement is through my single 18" sub. I have a bad habit of buying car audio gear (especially amps & subs) when I find it for crazy good pre-order deals or dirt cheap holiday prices that I feel are too good to pass up. A serious weakness of mine, I'm a sucker for great deals on car audio but I have so much new gear just sitting around in its original packages that I have no clue when I'll get around to using it.
Atleast I know I have it as a safety net incase I ever fall on hard times. Ppl will always buy car audio & all my new stuff should never lose its value. At the prices I've bought it all at I can only profit from it or at absolute worst still make my money back & break even off each sub or amp IF I needed to sell the gear really fast. Maybe its just me but I feel like a basshead can NEVER have too much car audio gear. No matter what it is: wire, lugs, speakers, amps, subs, distro blocks etc etc... One never knows what they might need if their hobby is car audio or even home audio!

Yep most definitely so you figure $400 for amp $50-$60 for big 3 upgrade plus $80-$100 for good quality zero gauge and $300-$400 for a aftermarket alternator plus $50 for fuses and odds and ends and you end around $880-$1100 and that's with out battery upgrades That's something I think allot of people overlook.But nice a$$ amp nonetheless👍🏽

Is the Artic Wolf 5000.1 an amp worth looking into and is it stable at .5 ohms? I have been looking everywhere for a Dyno on the amp and cannot find one, so here I am talking to you lol
The aw-5000.1 does over 57xx @ 1ohm - 14.3V and it can be wired to .5 all day long.

I'd say it'd hold up based upon product care. It really is pretty stout when compared to other full range amps on the same class.
We have been working with this build house, in China, for about 11 months or so. They are one of the better build houses. They build CT Sounds amps, some Sundown, and more. We've been doing some R&D with their full bridge, and making some changes, like with the crossover filtering, faster switching fets and so on. Out if about 30 amps we have fully tested, one failed...totally our fault, for supplying too much input voltage (from the head unit) 7+ volts with line drivers. Sound and Power definitely builds solid amplifiers, and are a great company to work with. We got our hands on, a few of their first PowerUS clones...beasts for sure.
