Greetings. What the hell are you doing? Don't tape that string. The steambow strings are pretty reliable. Just don't modify them. When the middle starts to wear, exchange it. I did 450 shots on my AR6 Tactical 55lbs with one string and the string is still good enough for about 100 shots.
@@nevadacario2000 get several, if you shoot alot. 😉 There are also pretty cheap tools available, for the replacement of the center winding. Just requires the right yarn and a bit practice. Also i noticed, that your string has slipped over the bow cap. Always make sure that it sits nice and tight. The problem with your worn veins on the arrows may be solved when you get a better target. I had that problem myself. A professionell target, like the "Stronghold X" Series, really helps. They are expensive, but will save you money at the end. (Sorry if there are any misspellings, English is not my natural language 😅)
Hmm, can you recommend this for home defense? I'm in the process of working for a firearm license, but it takes a long time here in Asia and I want something to complement a gun. I think this could work for non firearm threats.
I think you will need a brodhead attached to it for it to work you'd be better off getting a bow for self defense or the non pistol version of the ar6 based on what I've seen.
Dude, you're suppose to use wax, not tape.
yeah i know that now.

@@nevadacario2000 thanks! I was also told that the non-pistol version is way more powerful and reliable.
