I just found your videos today on youtube and was initially listening through my iPad which sounded great but now I'm listening through my recording set-up and my Barefoot monitors and wow...stereo effects on this pedal are amazing and the harp really adds so much that the guitar demos harmonically don't offer. Really amazing stuff.
Completely enthralled with your music. Technique, technology melody…. Love the idea of a musician companioning with a producer/knob twiddler tech/sound wiz…. It works wonderfully and uniquely. SOO i went to iTunes and purchased everything Emily Hopkins.
I've always appreciated harp but never really listened to harp music. I'm so happy I came across your performances. Not only do I appreciate it but I love hearing how creative and new you make it. Thank you for being you!
I have to pinch myself to see if I died and went to heaven and am now hearing an angel on a harp. Just plain insanely beautiful music. So pleased to see how much the effects, used properly, can add to this magnificent instrument. So lucky to have found your channel. Thanks again. 😊
Ooo...I really like that tri-chorus effect at 7:35. I could listen to that on loop. Seems like it would be great for ambient underwater or space themes.
thank you so much, Andy!! :) I have to tell you, the very first thing I did when I got this pedal was immediately watch your demo on it 😂❤️ I appreciate you!!
You should run your harp though Eurorack. A modulated Instruo Arbhar in follow mode into Mutable beads and out through Strymon big sky would sound amazing.
thank you so much, Christine!! :) ♡ "vintage" is such a nice way to describe that stool hahah between you and me and everyone else who is reading our comments, I found that stool outside of someone's house who was throwing it away 😂😂😂 it's the perfect height for my lever harps, and it folds up so nicely!! I love repurposing things and preventing them from going into landfills if I can!!
I'm glad a Friend sent Me the video of You using the Fathom Multifunctional Reverb. I subscribed for sure. I've been using MXRs, reverb and also an analog delay. They're some powerful pedals. But I'm most likely going to get one of the Fathoms.
Your first strike at 7:37 instantly reminded me of Lazy Calm on Victorialand by Cocteau Twins! So amazing - Pedal Gaze at its best! IDK if you do covers, but If you would, please try Oomingmak from the same album. Cheers!!
Sounds great! I've been wanting this pedal for my guitar for forever but it's always out of stock or I'm out of money when it's in stock, lol. It sounds awesome on your harp!
amazing sound-landscapes, you are able to create. love it. i am just new to your channel, i don't know if you only work with "real" effects or also use digital plug ins. because at about 8:50 the sound made me a little bit thinking of the vst "wires" i bought some month ago . I realy love the weird sounds it creates. it is the simulation of an old soviet aera wire-recorder but goes much further than just tape-simulation. perhaps something for you to discover... thank you for the music and the positivity in your videos.
This is by far the best pedal review site on YT 🤣 Wondering if you've ever tried any Keeley pedals? The Dark Side, or Loomer in particular I think would both sound great with a harp. Some of Red Panda Labs stuff as well, any of theirs would be a treat on the harp.
I just recently found your channel, I browsed through some of the others and didn't see anything from either company, but could have missed it. Will have to watch some of your old videos anyway, saw a few pedals I haven't personally tried in there.
@@lawr.h The Reverb side of that, at least in the focus setting is modeled off a Yamaha Fx500, which are cheaper and would also sound great on a harp. I think the Loomer sounds better and have had both. Loomer is one pedal that stays on my board. I think the reverse delay reverb would be especially nice on harp. I have a few homemade contraptions that could be considered harplike. The loomer really makes those come alive.
Good day Earthlings. I am Zoltan from Xenax in the Alpha Centauri system. I first saw Emily at Supernova 2013 at the Stargate space motor speedway on Vilan 12. Granted, I was out of my head on Venutian space dust at the time; but if you ever get a chance to see her on your insignificant little planet, she'll rearrange your star system--and she's fuckin loud. Peace out, bitches.
I feel like @ 400 it's at a really awkward point compared to the Zoia. I suppose they have massively different workflows, but I still see them as filling that same do-everything-modulationy/effecty pedal position. Your playing is amazing as always though

your comment just made my day haha thank you so much for the kind words, and thanks for being here!! I really appreciate that! :) ♡
Russ’s editing skills are out of this world! The sound he gets and the editing is pro all the way! Very top notch!
right?!? Russ is incredible! I just passed along your kind words and it made him smile; we really appreciate you! :) ♡
I've always wondered where the other set of hands came from. :)
Wow that reverb and delay made it sound like I was listening to some extra terrestrial orchestra. Zeta Reticuli philharmonic.
Loving the Cocteau Twins/This Mortal Coil vibes at 7:36. Beautiful stuff! I could listen to it all day.
thank you so much!! :)

i forget who i scrolled past on facebook that posted your music but i'm so glad i clicked on it.
my bank account shivers every time i watch one of your videos because it makes me desperately want a harp with a pickup
HAHAH I'M SO SORRY 😂😂😂 but real talk, harps with pickups are so much fun!! 💸
Mindblowing experiments here ... really love your music ♠
thank you so much for the kind words!! ♡ :)
There are countless amazing sounds and textures in this! Really incredible work!
I've always appreciated harp but never really listened to harp music. I'm so happy I came across your performances. Not only do I appreciate it but I love hearing how creative and new you make it. Thank you for being you!
When that delay kicks in on it’s own (4:28), that’s sounds so good.
Great vid as always 👍🏻
thank you so much!! :) ❤️
im really digging the timbre on this pedal.
same! I'm having so much fun with Synesthesia :) ♡
REALLY vibing on that end groove 🪐✌️

that last sound was really beautiful, worked really well with a harp!
Some of the absolute greatest music I've ever heard, all the way thru. Ty 4 sharing your gift
It is better than the new age relaxy stuff. It has hidden forms and changes, subtle rhythms - make a record - call it live from inside your brainmind
Great playing! 3 delays at once with
a shimmer is a killer option! I must try with my Synesthesia and UA pedals
Thanks so much Lukasz! I absolutely loved that section! I've had my eye on the new UA Reverb pedal, I've heard such great things!
Ooo...I really like that tri-chorus effect at 7:35. I could listen to that on loop. Seems like it would be great for ambient underwater or space themes.
thank you so much, Alex!! :)
I really like this!!! Another winner for Emily!!!!
At this point you don't even need a pedal anymore , thanks for the beautiful music.
Phono with S&h phaser sounded killer with harp! 👊
thank you so much, Andy!! :) I have to tell you, the very first thing I did when I got this pedal was immediately watch your demo on it 😂❤️ I appreciate you!!
@@emilyharpist Very kind of you, thanks! And the funny thing is when you've finished demoing it, I feel like it's a completely different pedal :)
Hauntingly beautiful.
5:00 is absolutely beautiful sounding (Both the effect and your playing)
thank you so much!! that's one of my favorite settings to improvise with -- I was surprised to get this much ambience from it!! :) ♡
@@emilyharpist Yeah! Serious dreamy vibes.
Awesome as always!
As usual, great playing, but OMG, GFI Systems pedals! If I had those pedals I'd nevet leave the room!
hahah thank you so much!! :) I LOVE GFI System pedals!!
You should run your harp though Eurorack. A modulated Instruo Arbhar in follow mode into Mutable beads and out through Strymon big sky would sound amazing.
It's like a mixture of psychedelic, ambient chill out and oriental stuff. Very cool
love this omg
thank you!! :)
Another great video! That stool is so cool! It looks vintage :)

4:27 movement is absolutely brilliant
Thank you!!!
I didnt even know about this pedal brand! Very Cool - I love the way you improvise w that harmonic tremolo.
You bring new found life in a forgotten instrument keep on keeping on love ya ♥️
Thanks so much, Kenny!! Love ya too, thanks for being here! 🥰❤️
My pleasure

Please upload this one to Bandcamp 🙏🏾

Love it so much!
Whoa am I first? Love this series way outside the box for the instrument. Keep er goin!
YES you are first!! hahah thank you so much! :) ♡
@@emilyharpist No thank you. I love your playing and applaud the pedal choices. Nepenthes has to be in my life. 😁
i think this will be my soundtrack for today
mwahahah thank you so much, David!! 🖤🔥

thank you so much for watching!! :) ♡
@@emilyharpist You are so welcome Emily.
real good
Have you used any granular synth pedals? If you haven't,I think you should
Got a guitar, now I want a harp
nice vibes lady. thanks. ;)
have you tried GFI's Specular Tempus?

They need to blast this on giant speakers in every city every morning, north Korean style.

Post.
Rock.
❤
I wonder what would happen if you put the Nepenthes over this?
Dooooooom
Hey Emily, is there any kind of 8-bit effect pedal? Imagine covering classic videogame songs with an 8-bit pedal, it would be awesome!
Something like this?
That is basically what a bit crusher does
And I see colours when I hear your name. Just like synesthesia aboard a stalled out plane.
❤️
Uh yeah, welcome to my regular rotation.
1:43 sounds like shpongle XD
Knobs Collab!?!?!
Bae.
😘
The phono filter sounds like a broken speaker
Can I sample??
Pretty please
Yes! Adding to my bandcamp soon
Just make sure you credit me wherever you post it!
@@emilyharpist awesome thanks so much! I will

Totally misread the name of the first patch as BITCHS 😱
Your too beautiful to play the harp. But keep playing the harp - and that effect is very neato.
