Does anyone have any more detail on the 6 preliminary practices to do before meditation that he was speaking about in the beginning? Like how to visualise the field of merit, how to symbolically offer the mandala etc

You can place an altar in your home and do it, the other way is to just give to whatever person you want, the homeless, your family, a buddhist monk, a temple, an animal. All of this is good karma. Giving is allways good. Give food, give cloth, medicine, give service, give anything useful, but dont give alcohol, or things that can harm others, etc.

Hello i will repost my answer:You can place an altar in your home and do it, the other way is to just give to whatever person you want, the homeless, your family, a buddhist monk, a temple, an animal. All of this is good karma. Giving is allways good. Give food, money, give cloth, give shoes, medicine, give service, give a smile or kindness, give anything useful or that you can, but do not give alcohol, or things that can harm others, like guns or poison, violent videogames, movies, etc.
