"What are some of your favorite youtube channels?" "oh where there's this online pen and pencil store that puts out videos... hey where are you going?"
okay for real, ive bought the new smoke sarasa nanos with the purpose of swapping the refills with other pens, purely because i love how they feel so much! the curvy shape in the metal is perfect for my index finger too! and that stabilisation!! so good!
Lamy is (or at least used to be) quite popular in Germany. When I was in school we used to use fountain pens and Lamy was one of the most ergonomic and most popular ones.
I've rediscovered my love of fountain pens, especially as they are more environmentally friendly (no refills, just ink). I use a Lamy 2000, but would love to see a video on it's Japanese competitors/peers
I am a ultra fine/micro fine gel pen afficionado. I think I have darn near everything Japan has to offer in the 0.3-0.4 mm market. They are ALL good when they work.
Okay, I'm not generally fond of pen/pencil features that are springy...they give, whereas I prefer firmness for better printing preciseness, but those Sarsa Nano gels and FriXion Point Knocks are probably in my future now. They look too nice and like they write well.
Those are pretty neat, but I still find I get along fine here in the U.S. with the Pilot G2 or Precision V5-RT a the most commonly available high-quality gel pens if not simply getting some variant of ubiquitous and average oil-based Bic pens. (Japan seems to keep most of the fancy/clever stuff to its domestic market. I suppose they have quality down as expected, so they have to find other ways to make the product distinctive?) Still neat to see those though, even if they're unlikely to show up in stores and not being available here other than through custom online orders. Also why not make the distinction between markers and pens, since some of those mentioned fall more into the soft-tip category? And for the long-reach, what would the point of getting inside a drill hole be? It seems more suited to making inspection marks on stuff like populated circuit boards - so it's more along the line of some niche specialty thing.
many scuba divers missed the pilot croquis which seems to be discontinued for writing underwater - because it was a mechanical pencil with no wood to swell/metal to corrode. Does jetpens carry something similar?
NASA spent thousands of dollars developing a pen that will still write in zero gravity. During a conference with some Soviet cosmonauts they asked them how they overcame this problem writing in space. The cosmonauts answered , “ we use a pencil “ !
Hahaha! If my husband knew I watched this while he’s watching women fish in bikinis he would be so JEALOUS!! 😮😳 The Sarasa fine point pens are great. I use Pentel Energel 0.5 needle point a lot. My true favorite is Pilot Juice Up 0.4! I’m a nurse who still charts with a pen (yes, I know) but I love them! Fine point gel pens 0.5 and below are my favorites, needle point is always a plus!!
The thing is i just love pilot frixion pens but i use my pens to much it causes the pen to go out of ink quickly andy pens are there that are gel pens but write for a long period of time?
Which of these overengineered pen features did you like the most? Let us know in the comments!
I'm a LAMY fan. Love the Swift Rollerball.
"What are some of your favorite youtube channels?" "oh where there's this online pen and pencil store that puts out videos... hey where are you going?"
I’ve had this conversation before, people just don’t understand. It’s so sad for them.
"Hiding your wallet. And mine."
Hahaha
*comes back* wait, what's the name?
Hahaha! If my husband knew I watched this while he’s watching women in bikinis fish…… 😮 He would be jealous!!

SAME!
Does the stabilisation actually do anything? It sounds kinda gimmicky ngl, how does it feel?
japan engineers pens as if everyone commutes to space for work. love the spirit.
The Lamy Swift's clip retraction is such a neat feature!
Okay, that retracting clip is genius and I need that on a mechanical pencil, like, decades ago.
I use pencil way more than pen at my job (as a fountain pen enthusiast, this is disappointing), so I'm keen on finding a great pencil instead!
The Pilot Juice Up pens are my favorite gel pens! Glad they're finally getting some love
Juice line has been the most reliable of all, followed by Signo line... I reach for them over Sarasa.
I found them at a Japanese bookstore one day and I fell in love with them! They write so smoothly and I love the super fine tip

it's the synergy tipped frixion, emot, and that highlighter for me. things i didn't know i needed????? omg
That long nib marker is now on my wish list for my next order (which I wish could be now).
Right. That pen would be extremely useful in my line of work.
Ooh the Synergy Tip, Protective Tip Shield, and the Arrow Shaped Tip pens really stood out to me. Hmm I guess I should add them to my cart^^
First minute in. As an architect who happens to work onsite as well, that elongated nib pen is so 💯👌🏻

Yes! I love fountain pens and have bought the Varsity disposable ones but I want to know how to use and what to buy for a faithful fountain pen.
The whole video is sooooo satisfying

God I love this channel so much

Why not fountain?
@@EvertG8086 Though it's been awhile, I have tried some before, but never really took to them.

Yay
More of this series please
The choice of nice upbeat music is good!
👍🏽
I love this! Thank you so much and have an amazing day!
So many great options!
the EMOTT looks like such a great pen omg! i would LOVE some lol, perfect for the little journal sheets i make.
I wont tell how but frixion pens saved me a lot of trouble and got me better grades.
I'll stay with my Schneider Slider Rave XB. Not overengineered at all, but you'll be accustomed to its smooth operation soon.
JetPens: Which pen out of all of these will you choose?
Me: yes.
Wow, great vid!
many scuba divers missed the pilot croquis which seems to be discontinued for writing underwater - because it was a mechanical pencil with no wood to swell/metal to corrode. Does jetpens carry something similar?
Where is the shirt from, that is worn with the LAMY Swift Rollerball Pen clipped onto the pocket?
That Lamy is so smart
The Emott pens are elite
but how would you use the built-in ruler in the first pen if it's in the body? you'd need to get another pen...
🎯 Occurred to me, too! Good point! but then, I always have extra pens...😜
WOW , Beautiful >>>> Thank you
You should make an app to make things more acsessible!!!
I even own a swift rollerball, but the mechanism wears out after a few years and gets crunchy.
Ah Sarasa Nano, nice pen to use but temperamental refills. It keeps skidding after being left unused for some times.
I've always wondered what the longest
pen is.
What pens do you recommend for a pen plotter? I am addressing envelopes and doing some short bold letters! (AxiDraw V3) 🙏🏽
Welp. Guess I need that long nib pen! 😂
Are the inks in the Juice-Up pens waterproof?
the frixion pens are already good enough with the erasable ink
Tradio reminds me of the Air
I can't decide!!!! 😫
Amazing
I like all your things.
So if you need to measure something with the ruler on your long nib pen, and the ruler is on the pen...
Yup
Does Pilot pens skip for anybody else? Just got Dr. Grip! Don’t regret it, but it does skip.😮
Lovely
Sakura PN Pens😊😊😊

Uni Emott has a very nice design but the colors are very pale. I hope this will be corrected and it will be produced in 0.7 or 0.8 mm.
That Lamy Swift has gotten on my wish list ❤
Overengineered pen = a sexy pen.
Where can I get that waist pouch organizer shown at 00:40 ??
Amazon is where I got mine...
pens cool

Someone please tell me the to-do notebook used at 1:50
It’s one of the pages in the Kokuyo Jibun Techo planner
Audio's ear fatiguing because of two issues: overprocessed voice over and music too loud.
Anyway, interesting information.
Well there's two more pens i "need"...
Got any inches???
japan is the best
I think lamy is made in Germany. V
Does anybody else like that jet pens uses graph paper to write on? 😂
Can’t touch the quality of a well made Japanese stationary.
Overengineering, it's usually a trait of German engineers but I guess not when it comes to pens. X-D
God bless.
never stop over engineering, stationary makers
Ruler on the pen is dumb......you need 2 pens to use it
No bro, this really weren't up to the previous two videos, maybe it's because the focus went on the tips rather than the whole pen
Lamy? I thought you show only Japanese stuff 🤔
The thing is i just love pilot frixion pens but i use my pens to much it causes the pen to go out of ink quickly andy pens are there that are gel pens but write for a long period of time?
Where's Antonia? Miss her narrating the videos.
