Were you surprised by any of these scissors? The one with the screwdriver at the end really threw us off! Let us know which one you'd use in the comments.

The one with the screwdriver is... something. I love the portable Midori, it's so many thing packed in one small item. I like it. I can see myself using it.
Midori Portable Multi Scissors having the wire cutters built in was quite the shock for me. Would be incredibly useful for someone who works with audio equipment.
I used to live in Asia and almost everyone had the sunstar compact scissors. I brought these to my American school when I moved here and everyone was amazed.
Wow, the amibdextrous scissors really are ambidextrous! If some of the other scissors were available in left-handed varieties, I'd be jumping on them (especially the shredder scissors).
@@higorhanschen Look at a pair of scissors, handle toward you and tip pointing away. Which blade is on top, the right handle's blade or the left handle's blade? That tells you whether the scissors are right-handed or left-handed. It makes a difference because when you're using scissors in the correct hand, you're pushing the blades very slightly towards each other; in the wrong hand, you're pushing the blades very slightly apart, so the scissors tend to fold rather than cut the material. (Not dumb; as xkcd says, you're one of the lucky ten thousand.)
...i just tried cutting paper with my left hand, using right-handed scissors. It was a bit uncomfortable to hold paper in a slight angle so i can see the cutting edge, but nothing to really worry about 😶 and because of that angle i pushed scissors blades towards each other, my thumb was above and leaning to the right, other fingers were below and leaning to the left
the one with wire-cutters reminded me of how, when I went to visit my sister a couple weeks ago, she went on a mini-rant about how useful good quality jewelry pliers are. She has a pair that's lasted years, and her favorite part is the wire-cutters bit. I feel like she would deeply enjoy those scissors.
Today I just bought a second pair of the Ray May scissors. This one is for my 11yo son. I always carry mine with me and he's used them before. I also bought two of the cute JetPens pin - one for him, one for me. My desk scissors are an earlier model of the curved blade ones. I love them!
As someone who tends to forget my screwdriver set when I need them, then attempts to use a pair of scissors as a screwdriver. The Stickyle Tasuno is perfect
I have one of those shredder scissors but here it’s sold as a herb scissor 😂 works really well though 😊even has a little comb to get the bits that get stuck in between out!
I clicked for the shredding scissors alone! I sometimes come home with client documents i didnt shred at the office so i have to carry those papers back to the office to shred them properly since i cant just trash them. I definitely gonna look out for them.
Here is my opinion (purely unbiased since I have not seen the price ) Sun Star Stickyle - long boi leatherman Sun Star 7 blade - confetee maker ( so is his other sibling) Raymay Pencut - the only one qualified for my hobby Nakabayashi Sakutto Cut Hikigiri ( good lord the name) - katana Kokuyo Hakoake 2 way - the only one qualified for being over-engineered Midori Portable Multi - thik boi leatherman
The Sun-Star Shredder Scissors and Raymay Pencut Scissors are on my wishlist. The first for making it easier to deal with mail containing PII, and the other for my travel pen case.
2:06 can someone kindly explain to me how is it different? i mean can left handed just use a right handed one? i mean, is regular scissors only for right handed? how is that so?
It's the way the blades are oriented. If a left-hander uses regular scissors, the top blade obscures the cutting line. Left-handed scissors are oriented so that the top blade does not do this.
@@JetPens aah yeah thats what i found online too before... so it only applies to some particular scissors then right? I mean because original basic scissors dont use that "orientated blades" technology, no?
Ooh wait... i misunderstood... what you mean is that the point is more on where you can see where the blades meet then right? Which its doesnt really matter which hand uses it...
Honestly, those Sun-Star 7-Blade Shredder Scissors, not only are they overkill but I never expected something like that! They reminded me of Edward Scissorhands 😅 they’re still amazing tho!
believe me, the fact that most items are not left-handed friendly (or not ambidextrous in general) really bothers me, scissors are the worst. it goes as far as mugs, like how the design is not meant to be turned towards yourself, but i never knew that! if theres anything written at the inside bottom of the mug it'll the upside down too. that happens when anything is written on a pencil too. not to say that anything that is "made specially for lefthanded use" NEVER is just a mirrored design, no, it must have painful weird ergonomic turns and twists and random grip textures everywhere. companies love treating left handedness as some sort of child-disability with flashy colors and grip pads. kitchen ware is a nightmare. Assymetrical tools like spatulas and EVERY HANDLE EVER on those over engireened stuff can go out the window. nothing beats a symmetrical pan. i never dealed well with scissors. when i was a child, i had a small, adorable pink pair that had the blades flipped so it was left handed (take note companies, it was a normal looking scissor) i lost that scissor sadly but thanks to that my life in preschool was never too hard. now that i lost it, i WOULD say i use box cutters all the time, but guess what! you know how the part that moves the blade is supposed to go under your thumb when you grip it so your blade doesnt snag and slide out when you try to cut? well thats another NOT ambidextrous design for you. When i use scissors, i give up on using my dominant hand unless its a pair i know its not gonna fold the paper if i do that. I old the paper with my dominant hand and move that instead of the scissors, that just make the opening/closing motion so it cuts. Untill i find a leftie scissors again thats what works out for me, and since its tecnically cheating and using a scissor the right-handed way, all the scissors in the video would work just fine too.

Hey jetpens can y'all make a video about travelling pencil cases for artists like for brushes, dip pens, inks and nibs please.
those shredding scissors are so overkill. I must have them
Same here!!!
They're also safe, I don't think you can kill anyone with them.
@@bmanpura "If thrown hard enough"
those are the common kitchen herb scissors
@@HyTeddyBear yep thats right
The Midori multipurpose seem awesome! As a hobbyist, the built in wire cutter is a genius!
they had to edit the cutting, if u see that, it may not be that easy to use the wire cutter

Sorry if I'm being dumb, but can't you just flip normal scissors to match your hand?
@@higorhanschen no cutting with the wrong hand won't be accurate as u cannot see the cutting edge properly

Color me impressed! Those are some nifty scissors you've got there. I'm tempted by the Midori Multi-Purpose Scissors.
I’m in the middle of decluttering all of my possessions but those shredding scissors are hella tempting
Give me all
We (for Austria) use this shredder scissors in the kitchen to cut herbs.
I see those shredding scissors marketed as kitchen scissors for cutting veggies to tiny bits
I don't need it. I don't need it. I DON'T NEED IT
Yup, we need it 😅😅😅😅😅

I use the multi-blade scissors for cutting chives
0:35 I try that screwdriver like few years ago, the plastic holder snapped and broken by just 1 screw work, what a fragile design.
I do, in fact, have compact scissors and I love them
I like the format of your videos. It has a “How Its Made” vibe and I like the summary of each item at the end. Very helpful!
I love the one where you can switch them to left handed (as a lefty!)
Thanks for Collab😎👍
I have seen something similar to the shredder-scissors, but they were meant for quickly cutting herbs for your food
Those shredding scissors would make a great salad 🥗
I actually saw a pair for making salads!
For chives
i actually have that kind of shredding scissors, they were advertised as "chive scissors" but just using a knife is way faster
No one will ever beat Japan when it comes to scissors.

cool scissors and cutters!
First time in a while that I am stumped for choice, I love all their features!
I've seen many of those exact scissors advertised for cutting chives and spring onions. Its weirder to me to see it here advertised for cutting paper

I would love a pair of those lil baby ones.
