We left Mae Sot for an overnight in Mae Sariang; next was the lively provincial capital of Mae Hong Son; and then on to the backpacker favorite in the area, Pai; before heading to Chiang Mai for the festivals of Yee Peng and Loy Krathong.

So good I just called it my home. After 4 years in Laos now moved to Chiang Mai and bought a Triumph Bonneville 120 to explore. So far so good...

@@BobSchiff Thanks Bob. Yeah there is so much potential here and beautiful places to discover and explore. I've done a couple of day loops already and am setting up the bike with luggage options to do the Mae Hong Song loop once the weather dries up.

Yes, my bike is a BMW 1250 GS factory lowered. I recommend POP in Chiang Mai (maps.app.goo.gl/Mrms4qickWkHZy7M8) for rentals. Several years ago I rented a Honda Africa Twin from them and had a great experience.
