In this video on (6:54) teacher said that "Small Yay" (Chati Yay) is written in one way as well as "Big Yay" (Bari Yay), but in the previous video Learn Urdu Lesson 1 - The Urdu alphabet" m.ua-cam.com/video/08A9EebaiXU/v-deo.html at (9:00) this two letters were explained vice versa, so it looks unclear, (seems like in this video they are incorrect but in the previous video everything fine with that two letters) but it's a small problem, so otherwise thank you so much ☀️🙏🏻
Lol how many many languages have you learned. Mashallah. I am Pakistani tho, I know Urdu but I'm learning Turkish from your videos. Thank you brother. Lots of love from Pakistan P.s. you are such an amazing teacher.

Thank You - Your work here is outstanding. Taken together with Lesson One - This forms a brilliant foundation. Much appreciated. - Could you do anything on Sound pairs?
Hi - By 'Sound Pairs' I mean things like B-P F-V D-T G-K TH- TH There are many such videos on youtube...I did once see a video by an 'Arab' man on this and now I cannot find it...It had a similar thoroughness to your work...it went beyond the usual small list given by most - eg included something for 'M' - maybe it was 'H' ?...Have you seen the masterful works of Michael Thomas ? - If not then it might be of interest - Examples of his work or that of his successors can be found on youtube also...Thank you too for the inspiration - it is good to know that the Spirit of thoroughness is alive still in the world of men.
Petra inJordan aha I got your point, Urdu has those kinds of Sound pairs, I did make a video on The Urdu alphabets and their different positions, I will upload today, but I will make video about the thing you just mentioned, 😊
Hi everyone, i am an urdu Language online tutor , Translator, I have done bachelor's in urdu Language and education If you want to learn urdu don't worry I'm here to teach you
Sir, what is the difference between ح ھ ہ (they have the same sound of h), between ز ظ (they have the same sound of z) and ث س ص (as they have the same sound of s) But thnx for the excellent study REPLY
@Brazen Goon I'm a beginner, but what I understood is that lots of the Urdu vocabulary are coming from Arabic and Farsi, which ever word came from these languages, they kept it's shape as well. و الله أعلم These letters have almost -if not exact- the same sound in Urdu, but in Arabic they represent different sounds, look up any video of letters in Arabic to see how they actually sound, but in case of Urdu, you are safe to use the common sound for all.
Hi everyone. Basically ث، س، ص give the sound of 'S'. Similarly ذ، ز، ظ، ض give the sound of 'Z', and ح، ہ، ھ give the sound of 'H'. But the difference is that all these similar sounding letters make different words and give different meanings. Same like C, K and Q give same sound in English, V and W give same sound in English but make different words. Similarly some Urdu letters give same sound but make different words. For Example: There is a word "Max" in English. Everybody knows that it's spelling are 'Max', not 'Maks'. Similarly, there is a word/name Philips in English. Everybody knows that the real spelling are Philips, not Filips. Similarly, different Urdu letters (of same sounds) spell different words.
Hey. Urdu is not a very strong phonetic language we don't have vowels and consonants however we have a very defined system of punctuation. Urdu is derived from number of different languages and first attained its form by the different troops who speak their own languages but as they were staying together so they had to come up with some middle language. That's why you can see different words from different languages some of these words have different shapes but they sound same like ز ذ they have slightly different pronunciation in different words but in most words they sound same. Certain words from Arabic/Persian have ز but not ذ so that's why the words Urdu has taken from them must have ذ and ز so that's why both ز & ذ have to be included in Urdu alphabets. Same is the case with س ث ص and ت ط and ک ق . This is almost same as Hindi sh sh ष श which sound same but are used in different words under different phonetics (because Hindi too has acquired its vocabulary from Sanskrit and Sauraseni Prakrit and bunch of other languages so words there can also have same sounds but different shapes. Every language has sounds that are somewhat similar but manuscript is totally different like Urdu ک Hindi क and English k all have same sound but different shapes. 1000 years back when there was no actual regulation for languages Urdu got its vocabulary form different languages that are written in same manuscript styles/fonts and have same sounds but are written differently (like english k and c sometimes give same sound e.g in kangroo and cat both c and k are pronounced as k) That's why these sounds got so mixed up and are difficult to learn but with a little practice you can over come the problems once you have good vocabulary. Hope this somewhat helps♥️🥰
Is this kinda like how in English there can be words with the same letters/letter group but depending on the context it’s pronounced different, but this is used for gaining vocabulary to remember how things are pronounced?
