When training this move, do you strive to prevent absolutely any drifting in order to maintain your exact initial position? Or is that impractical due to the forces involved...
Dominus Maximus the intention is to stay in one position, however depending on the variation or dance you are performing, the choreography may call for a gradual shift in a certain direction! Take for example, in the Sugar Plum Fairy PDD from The Nutcracker, it is required to perform the fouetté turns on a diagonal line in the coda! Thanks for your comment!
