Man thanks to you you helped me make my choice I start orientation March 11th going otr. Met with my terminal manager super nice and straight forward lady. Hopefully I can keep rolling.
Congrats! Don’t be afraid to ask your trainer questions when you get on the truck! He should be able to tell you all about the money, runs, and home time
Chris you were near my neck of the woods. That's awesome. 1:34 You were in Ellwood City PA. I used to work for that McElwain Chevy dealer as a lot attendant years ago. At 5:32 almost drove by my home terminal in North Lima Ohio. They are building a Love's there off exit 232. Keep the videos coming. Love your content.
Very cool! That’s exactly where I was, and I’m glad you mentioned the location of that truck stop! Another driver and myself were asking each other where that Love’s was going to be built, and neither of us knew. Glad you enjoyed the video!
Good Looking now we need somebody who do food products & Merchant Gas on UA-cam…… #1 Tanker Driver on UA-cam is Here … Good Video instead of just talking to the camera
Seems like everything has to go right for you to make money there. And if your not on top of you layovers delays etc etc you get skimmed on your pay. FedEx sounds better to me just hook up and go no customers. Everything is on the app just arrive check in locate your trailer/s hook up check out and go. Back with in 5 days 2 home and bring in anyway from $2000-2600 and my current rate of .80 cent split.
Can you explain a little more about the schedule? I just can’t see how they just let you pick when you want to work. I’m guessing you have to work a certain amount of days a week? Thanks
Sure thing! We have to run 2 loads per week (minimum), and that could be 2-4 days. You choose when to start. You choose when to stop for the week. I’ve started on Sunday and worked through Saturday before. I’ve also started on a Monday and went home Thursday. You can pick when to start and stop. (Other terminals may vary)
@@jeremydaigneault6023 magnolia. It’s about 2 hours south of Little Rock, but that’s the SPG terminal. Little Rock has a fuel hauling terminal (I think), because I see they’re hiring in that area for local drivers.
It’s simple. You fill out a trip ship and the customers sign it. Customers sign the BOL. You turn them both in to the company when you return to the yard.
Depends on the customer’s needs. We have a load that runs out to California, but it’s rare to see that one. New Jersey is about 1,400 miles (one way), and it’s the farthest I’ve been from the terminal.
@@davinewebb2844 yes! Out of Arkansas, we have quite a few loads going to Texas. You could probably go to Texas 2-3 times a week. That California load is rare for us down here, but I’ve heard about it - never offered.
Correct, but I’ve only read that on the new prepass guidebook. Haven’t seen anything they says it written by AR. Also according to the prepass guidebook, PA you must enter.
I can’t find any changes to that rule by the state. I’ve searched the Arkansas Trucking Association, Arkansas Department of Public Safety, and I’ve searched google & bing for proof of this new change, and I couldn’t find anything newer than 2017 about the hazmat laws for the state.
Glad everything is working out thus far. Stay safe
Thanks, you too!
Nice format on the video

So what are “specialty” prouducts? What are some things you haul?
Bromine, Bromide, other various chemicals. It will also depend on the chemical plant your terminal hauls from

FedEx ground, then? Every contractor is different, sorry to say.
What is the difference between specialty products and merchandise gas?
One is liquid bulk and the other is cryogenic

Would they hire people with an automatic restriction on their CDL?
Probably, because most of our trucks are automatic

Does KAG lease on Owner Ops? Thanks!

Our Safety department checked on it and said that it’s no longer necessary to go in.
