“Strong” is Neutral: Lead Hand Grip Squares & Stabilizes

  • The lead hand grip is placed on the club in such a manner that it squares the face automatically at the strike. At the strike the club puts force in your arm aligning your joints which pulls the hand in the same position it hangs from your arm socket. This may appear strong to some but from a biomechanics perspective it’s neutral.

    Completely agree, it just feels natural, especially if you want to get the hands ahead of the clubhead at impact. A pro tried to get me to weaken my grip, but it just felt like I had no control of the clubface and couldn't create any power.

    I'll give this ago tomorrow, especially with my irons i seem to hit straight right with them
