GBO2 Nightingale: The fattest suit ever?!

- This video contains two matches I had with the recently released Nightingale on Gundam Battle Operation 2. It is a 700 cost raid with excellent melee range, high mobility, great melee damage, great stun accumulation, a heavy staggering fully charged beam rifle and flight ability with Flap Booster. Its major weakness would be that it is one of the biggest suits in the entire game. It also lacks any form of Damage Control to make up for this. This suit is very fun to me but I cannot deny that it feels weak. It is very awkward to use and easy to get bullied because of how large it is, so it is difficult to get a chance to melee somebody without being interrupted. I hope that you enjoy watching!
Its primary weapon is a mega beam rifle with 350x8 (2900) ((3500)) power, 80% (85%) ((100%)) heat, 1.3 seconds cooldown, 18 seconds overheat, 0.77 seconds swap time, 175m (400m) ((425m)) range, 2.5 (2.5) seconds focus time and 20%x8 (20%) stagger value. This works basically the same as the Sazabi shotgun while uncharged, with charged shots instant stunning. It can charge a second time to fire a splash heavy staggering beam.
Its primary melee weapon is a beam tomahawk with 3000 power, 2.5 seconds cooldown, 0.77 seconds swap time and 70% combo modifier. This shares the same moveset as The-O's beam saber. The range on this is ridiculous so oftentimes you can initiate on enemies by just swinging at them from outside their tackle range.
Its first sub weapon is a chest vulcan gun with 95x2 power, 80 ammo, 450 RPM, 12 seconds reload, 0.5 seconds swap time, 250m range, 1426 DPS and 4%x2 stagger value. This has great DPS and takes just 1.7 seconds to stagger with.
Its second sub weapon is a set of 4 beam sabers with 3100 power, 3 seconds cooldown, 0.5 seconds swap time, 60%x2 side swing modifier and 70%x3 downswing modifier. This shares the same moveset as the quad beam sabers on The-O. The downswing is great for punishing knocked over enemies with.
Its third sub weapon is a belly megaparticle cannon with 4000 power, 95% heat, 6 seconds cooldown, 15 seconds overheat, 0.5 seconds swap time, 400m range and 80% stagger value. This stops to fire but it instantly staggers. The range, damage and swap time are all good as well.
Its fourth sub weapon is a set of focused fire funnels with 250x6x3 damage, 100% heat, 22 seconds overheat, 0.77 seconds swap time, 350m range and 7%x6x3 stagger value. These have good stagger value and damage but they instantly overheat with a long recovery time.
Its fifth sub weapon is a set of automatic fire funnels with 200 power, 100% heat, 25 seconds overheat, 0.77 seconds swap time, 150m range and 0% stagger value. These deploy wherever you aim them but the range is very short. They last for 15 seconds and can fire a total of 46 times, but they are generally pretty impractical.
The Nightingale has 27000 HP, 20 ballistic resist, 36 beam resist and 36 melee resist. This appears to be extremely durable on paper but the large size of the suit and lack of leg buffers makes it not as bulky as you might think. It has LV4 Maneuver Armor and LV2 Emergency Evasion for defensive skills but lacks Damage Control, making it very easy to stagger accumulate. It has a binders buffer for its very large shoulder binders which completely nullifies stagger and cuts taken damage in half, but these are easy to aim around. It also has a 30% reduction back buffer.
It also has 145 (155) hover speed, 235 (245) boosting speed, 90 thrust (-45% usage reduction) and 72 (97) turning speed. It is very fast for its size normally but it becomes even faster once LV2 Psychoframe Resonance activates, but it also has LV2 versions of Flap Booster, Flight Control and Forced Injectors.
It also benefits from the Counter Boost skill, which boosts damage by 20%, reduces damage taken by 20%, adds +5 hover speed and cuts focusing time in half for 30 seconds after a successful counter tackle. Your damage becomes extremely high when this activates but it is inherently unreliable since it needs a counter tackle.
Overall I feel like the Nightingale will surely be buffed in 1-3 months. It feels as if it was intentionally held back to avoid a repeat of last years cost breaking anniversary suits, but they went too far and it is too difficult to play. I think if they buff it then they will probably add Damage Control, add a buffer for the legs, upgrade Forced Injectors to LV3 or 4, upgrade Flight Control to LV3 and maybe enable the belly megaparticle cannon to be fired while moving. It isn't totally unplayable right now and it can definitely cook if given space to do so, but most matches are going to be a struggle. If you roll on this suit don't expect to be doing well with it initially, but they won't leave a new 4 star suit in a weak state for very long. Thanks for watching, and I hope that you enjoyed it!

Well, see the Xi and the Penelope, they are basically minitiarused battleships.
@@VaultNightmare I'd love to get a version of the Penelope where you can drop the flight suit parts off and be a more agile Gundam but maybe have less armor and lose the aerial flight abilities until you respawn.

Equivalent of buying stupidly big Ford Ranger.
Sazabi is more a summary of everything Char prefers in a mobile suit, and since he's always in mid life crisis mode it's still apt. lol There is an efficiency to Sazabi I like a lot though.
But Nightingale is everything about Sazabi plus being three times bigger, having a literal giant dong, and on top of everything having the exact same gimmicks of the two MS that beat him up at the end of Zeta (skirt arms from The O, Quebeley style funnels.) Midlife crisis overcompensation is pretty apt.

@@trickynick9139 I can only imagine that if the odysseus and the ff version are going to be separate, then the odysseus itself would be a raid and the penelope would most likely be a support. The xi would be a general or smthing.
Xi and Penelope I think have always been the inevitable end game MS for this game, unless they make the big decision to also cover late UC.

Ever since I saw the Xeku Zwei I knew this thing was gonna be added. Shame about not having damage control but that melee damage is nutty.
The melee damage is insane, but Avenger had to spec the suit for almost pure damage to get it to that point. Meanwhile, most other 700 suits are half the size or less and can deal more than enough damage to dominate this suit, while also having higher defenses and being much tinier targets.
This suit won't take kindly to more open maps with Moon Gundams (possibly landing all of the Psyco Plates easily), Phenaxes, and lots of bazookas running around. The Xeku Zwei may actually be a nightmare for the Nightingale, as it can soak up most of its shots besides the heavy stagger, while just unloading ranged damage.
There needs to be a match where all the big boi suits are in the same team.

Moon Gundam just absolutely fucks this suit up. Why it doesnt have DC or SD is beyond me.
I thought the lack of leg buffers was strange at first, but the massive skirt armor seems to cover almost the entirety of your legs, so i don't think they need to be higher than 15%.
Just DC1 would do a lot for this suit, with two being better, but 3 maybe being a bit too much when it has MA4.
As far as the weapons, the most annoying thing to me is that the stationary funnels have some really low damage, especially factoring in that most people at 700 have around 45 beam defense or more. They need to hit harder and perhaps have a longer firing distance, both in terms of how far you can shoot them, and how far they can fire on enemies that pass by. Even 2% stagger on them would help, and still end up pretty conditional to when that actually does something.
Though im intrigued by the main gun's ability to double charge, and wish that feature was implemented sooner. We could have had some more accurate depictions of a lot of weapons, especially the high-powered ones that were often shown to be able to fire rapidly, fire typical shots, and had the ability to fire "battleship class" shots.
At this point, i feel like a lot of these more experimental features are tests for future suits and an eventual GBO3.
That thing is essentially a boss fight. Char said go big or go home.

On the other hand, I'm legitimately surprised it can fit in the tunnel, I would've figured anything bigger than the Dom Gnomides couldn't gon in because they physically CAN'T

This suit really needs anything besides Vulcans that can fire while moving. They could have even made the chest beam a weapon that charges to become a shotgun like the Sazabi's, in order to balance a moving stun even more.
If the Nightingale fell from orbit, it would probably leave an impact similar to the one that killed the dinosaurs

700 Asshimar is really strong since the buff. 2100 power per beam rifle shot, Damage Control LV3+transformation, really high durability and a really powerful alternate version of the beam rifle while transformed.
This thing is comically large, it's hilarious XD
I would love to get it to play aside the hi nu since its fun but i cant afford both , i need to resict until other 4* come in , i am hoping for certain uc suits

I got my first 4 star today after open the first drop of the nightingale supply drop and randomly got the sinanju

All I can really add is that it is a bit annoying to deal with because it can power through so much stuff to perform an O combo on you. All that said though I haven't been too troubled by it because it's so big and ultimately it doesn't do that much damage. It's basically this big bruiser that bullies everyone has to deal with which, if the rest of that NG's team is good, they'll take advantage of.
I will say its insane mobility in space makes it a fair bit more intimidating though. It can REALLY move in space and its so disorientating with its size.
I can see how people find it a bit divisive in terms of performance even at a glance ultimately though, but I'm fully expecting them to buff it and we'll see how that goes. Would have liked it either way.

Holy hell I knew it was big, but it literally dwarfs some suits! I think devs wanted to prove that it was in fact too big for this kind of game.
Should look up the manga Beltorchika's Children (or the pages of it in the Wiki for NG). The only things that are really bigger than it are actual Mobile Armours, like the Alpha Aizeru or the Neue Ziel. Even the ridiculously large Asparas 1-3 of 08th MS Team. The torso section of Hi-v/V holds the ball shaped cockpit. The Saz has it in the head, but it takes up most of the actual room. For the NG... that ball is only about the size of a brain in the front of it's head! xD The HG kit should be as big as the RE:100. The RE:100 *should* have been nearly twice as big! It's a damn big bird! lol

Yes, it can be counter tackled. But like several other MS such as the Agg while them countering has an animation being countered doesn't play the enemy's animation. They merely fall over. Unless that was something else the devs have since changed.

As much as I've enjoyed my Hi-Nu this cost just isn't my thing.
That and being an ace pilot in a grunt suit is just cooler to me lol
That said seeing a suit this big fly around is incredibly funny.
700 is rough, but it's always the worst when a new 700 releases. The teams are usually completely unconcerned with being balanced, and instead pack in many of the newest suits.
You definitely don't need more than one Nightingale on a team, and you usually don't need more than one Hi-Nu when there are suits like Moon Gundam, Phenax, and even Unicorn that complement the Hi-Nu by being better at getting ranged stuns and damage while being great candidates for the assist funnels.

They don't leave a 4* in a weak state for very long? My guy It took over a year for Sazabi to even be touched with a buff... And it took 2-3 buffs for Dag Doll to be good.

@@Zombiesoldier072 The whole thing has been downsized (though it's closer to the HG proportions than it is the RE:100)! xD It would take up most the same area as the launch pad in the middle of the first map in this video if it was sized to the manga! lol
And it's *still* too small, compared to how it's shown in the manga.

The current suit in steam/PC version is Hazel Owsla, which was released on the PS version early June, making it two months/9 weeks of delay.
I’m using delay because that’s literally what it is, the version of PC is two months behind the PS version, including patches and mobile suits.

Every suit and update released two months before on the PS was present on the PC launch day.
How do you propose they catch up, when they add the new mobile suit _weekly_ , just like how PS adds a new suit every week, so it’s not like they can just dump the new suits on us.
Let’s say for example, the PS port of Game A is on v20.1, and the PC port just released, and it’s on v18.9
Both ports update weekly, so they’ll never “catch up”, and by the time the PC port reaches v20.1, the PS port is on v21.3, and so on.
Unless of course the PS game stops updating altogether
It’s also common in JP Gacha games, with JP releases being ahead of the EN release by a few versions.

Honestly the size of this suit is just ridiculous.
Not the biggest fan of this suits appearance. I prefer the look of the Sazabi. Although its look is growing on me. I May like it even more once I get to reading Beltorchika’s Children manga soon with the English release happening.
