GBO2 GM III Powered: The king of tackle spam!

- This video contains two recent matches I had with the LV1 GM III Powered on Gundam Battle Operation 2. It is a 450-500 cost general with high damage tackles, the ability to tackle twice in a row, a machine gun sub weapon that can quickly accumulate stagger alongside overall great frontlining ability. Its weaknesses would be that it isn't too useful in a shooting fight, that it lacks melee combo controller and that its legs are too easy to break in the current 450 cost meta. This suit used to be pretty OP when it came out, it was a real menace at 450-500 cost alongside the Jeda. The meta has changed a bit since then, but I feel like it is still a pretty good frontline wall general. I hope that you enjoy watching!
Its primary weapon is a beam rifle with 1900 power, 3.5 seconds cooldown, 90% heat, 17 seconds overheat, 0.77 seconds swap time, 350m range and 20% stagger value. This has high damage and quite short cooldown time, but suffers from high heat and long overheat time. You can overheat it if you need another stun in a pinch or as a way to continue staggering with allies.
Its primary melee weapon is a pair of beam sabers with 2000 power, 2.5 seconds cooldown, 0.5 seconds swap time and standard modifiers. These have fast swap time and the same great melee animations that the Prototype Gundam gets, but you have no combo controller to swing twice in a row with. You can still do great damage in melee if you use Interrupt Tackle in combos.
Its first sub weapon is a machine gun with 150 power, 18 ammo, 425 RPM, 8 seconds reload, 0.5 seconds swap time, 200m range, 1063 DPS and 10% stagger value. This doesn't have much ammo but has pretty good DPS and the ability to stagger in just 1.4 seconds. You will be relying on this a lot for when your beam rifle is cooling down or for when you need to break through Maneuver Armor.
The LV1 GM III Powered has 16000 HP and 20 in every resistance stat. When you consider its 4000 HP shield, it is overall pretty durable, perfectly suited for frontlining. It has LV1 Emergency Evasion and LV1 Damage Control for defensive skills.
In terms of mobility it has 125 walk speed, 210 boost speed, 65 thrust and 66 turning speed. It has below average walking speed but is otherwise quite mobile. It gets LV1 Forced Injectors but lacks Flight Control.
It gets multiple skills which all buff its tackling abilities. LV5 Enhanced Tackle which buffs its base tackle power to 1800, LV1 Instant Thrust Precision which reduces tackle thrust usage from 100% to 80% alongside LV1 Interrupt Tackle which lets you cancel your melee recovery time with a tackle. This makes your tackles quite versatile, making them useful for extra damage in combos, as a way to restrain enemies alongside allies or as a way to interrupt raids going after the support.
In conclusion, I feel that while the GM III Powered isn't meta any longer, it still has great frontlining which makes it pretty powerful on the right maps. Melee raids can basically do nothing to a support if they have a GM III Powered watching over them, and it is really hard to interrupt a GM III Powered doing a melee combo since they get invincibility while tackling. The big issue I would say that it has right now though is that it kind of sucks against Efreet Jager and Marasai, which are both meta right now in 450 and 500, it is too easy for them to break your legs which leaves you a sitting duck for the rest of the enemy team. I don't see it often, but this thing is scary in groups. They all seem to be very well coordinated and demolish unsuspecting suits.

Sure, this thing isn't meta anymore, but holy hell is the GM III Powered utterly irritating to play against with two tackles that can waste your time.
Yeah it's super annoying even if they don't land the tackles.

Not meta anymore? You're nuts. Thing's still very viable. It isn't as strong as the Efreet destroyer of legs destroyer of worlds, but it's still a fairly resilient suit which leaves very little room for counterplay if engaging enemies (especially raids) on its own terms.
I honestly hate their tackle spamming it makes it too difficult to stop them with stuns let alone melee, and you can't ignore them since they can stun you and knock you down and tackle you to rub it in.
TLDR GM 3 Powered is an obnoxious suit with its op tackle skill. I enjoy clapping them with Gelgoog UL boombox though
I am alway caught off gaurd with how much thrust they have to tackle.

I love this suit because it stands as the ultimate litmus test for both it's user and the enemy in how much both either rely on flowchart tactics and can be easily fooled and outplayed.
i've been in so many matches where bad GMIII powered will tackle themselves to easy stunlock combos without me having to overcommit, or when I use the suit enemies never realizing that I haven't overheated myself and I get easy counters or overheat them for free combos
epic moment surviving the broken legs and killing the other dudes while walking
I rather deal with the dolmel and the efreet jeager than the GMIII powered
shoot legs and attack from behind.

I really don't get why this suit is designed to spam tackles in game, lol
I upgraded it to 6 steps max and it was the best investment I ever made to use with Composite Frame Type B.
The suit is just too good if you use it right and just a single combo can destroy a MS's legs a lot of times.
My only complaint is that the suit cannot use a Bazooka, its GM Rifle only has 18 ammo.
