I love Pultechs and I love Softube, so this one is a no brainer for me 😍

The mkII of the cl-1b has a much harder knee compared to the mkI which is why it has that "grabby" behavior. I personally didn't really like it that much as it tended to really pump and over compress easily so I used the old original plugin all the time. But this update has me super happy.

Oh wow, this is why I've rarely been happy with the CL1-B in general - I tend to just fire up the MkII channel strip and then get frustrated with the compressor overgrabbing so leave it off! Thanks for this!

I would like to study mixing and mastering to be able to create another income. Where should I start?

Its Ok - listened on some Amphions and I think we are ina period where there are good alternatives out there. Its where things are headed. Good plugin though, just very expensive.

I tried the Softube version of the TubeTec compressors and equalizers and compared it to the Acustica Audio’s emulations versions of those devices (the Titanium 3 plugin suite) and i.m.o AA sounds better

I own both and i agree, but Softube's stuff is a lot more light weight CPU wise. Personally i save AA for Mastering

Did softube change behavior or sound of cl 1b?

yes, in the "modern mk II" Generation setting. The old modeling is still included in the "vintage mk I" mode.

      @@maciejmironowicz2501 you're welcome.
I'm most excited by the fact that it still works with Windows 7 and my older iLok drivers, LOL!
