Good feature. Here’s a couple of modern classics that deserve a mention: The Drawmer 1973 is one of the best finishers for getting that radio sound, and the transient designer is way underrated for how useful it is.
As a long time home recordist, (but far from a golden eared pro), I use Softube Drawmer S73 on all of my busses with great results. I also have Console one and like it quite a bit. Studio One forever! : )
Hey yo, I read into if anyone wants to know, The Tube and Modern are both from the Culture Vulture, The Tube is culture in the Diode and the Modern is from the Triode, sort of fuzzy mode it goes into. And the TransF, is a Transformer, If im not mistaken its from an API Console.
The strength of Weiss deesser actually is in the extended "hidden" section when you click on those 2 arrows on the left side of the plugin window. You basically summed up also mine top 5 favourites from Softube 🙂 What I would place there maybe instead of either the deesser or reverb would be either Mike-e both for crunchy preamp and punchy compression or probably even more than mike-e the Overstayer MAS extended is one of the most powerful saturation plugins. I can get a lot more perceived loudness out of that when tweaked properly without loosing depth, while actually sometimes increasing depth thanks to it smooth saturation character. I actually use it almost like pultec EQ plus Saturation processor in one. And while Softube Harmonics Analog processor is also definitely in my top 5 list, the Overstayer would easily find the place there too, especially the extended version.
Excellent demos. I have a few Softube plug-ins. Just got the Harmonics to go with the free VCA, free Saturation Knob, and the Clipper and Widener bundle. The Weiss de-esser sounds like a good option. I do have the SSL De-ess and the option to do so within Pulsar Audio 8200 EQ.

Literally it’s “except”. I have a Console 1 and a lot of Softube’s plugins. They not only make some of the best plugins out there, their customer service is second to none. Don’t like it, DON’T BUY IT!
It does add a nice analog warmth, whether you use it on individual tracks, buses and the mix/master buss. Individually, the effect may sound subtle but you can hear the difference when it’s summed up. Also, make sure you are listening on a proper set of monitors or headphones.
TRANSF is for 'Transformer' mate...not transfer, it can add a nice low end bump and a bit of sparkle to the highs, like a real transformer does in the audio path.

The saturation of these is so damn smooth
So good! :)
Yeah, Softube definitely knows how to do saturation.

Thanks for the video. Drawmer S73, Fix Doubler, Tape, TSAR-1 Reverb and Weiss Deess for me.
Harmonics is a gem
1000%!!
I thought the Harmonics button "solid" meant Solid State, and "transf" mean transformer. Is that right?
@@davelongenecker649 same, but i have a feeling we are wrong...?

Do you have proper monitoring and treated room to hear the plugin work?
