Superficially, it looks more impressive than some of the crap on UA-cam. The pretty hardware gives a higher sense of confidence, but it may more dangerous depending on circuit diagram, internal layout, and component specifications. "I can't state how safe I feel using this compared to my two homemade machines". And that right there is what gets folks killed. Misplaced confidence. The good folks using this type of equipment don't even know what to look for.
Ik this is a year old, but I have a question. I have been watching a gazillion videos of fractal burning, but is there a different method, that looks similar? I know very, and I mean very little about electricity and currents, but I love look of this. Is there anything that gets close to the look, but is safe for “electricity for dummies?”
The products that you are looking at is currently safest way to do it. Otherwise people will show you ways to rig one up yourself which is what makes it dangerous. Follow the instruction guide and you'll be okay 👍
These units have no certification of safety from any country, and they never will. I don't care if the designer has a Doctorate of Electrical Engineering, sooner of later, someone will touch either the wood or the probe, and that will be that. The designer of this machine has so much liability it's not even funny. I am a military trained electrician, (21 years, USN Retired), and there is no such thing as a safe Lichtenberg machine. I have a home-made one, with two momentary on pushbuttons that take up both my hands about 5 feet from the actual burn. I also wear 12K gloves, and stand on 3/4" rubber, and the actual burn is on a different table that is not on the rubber. Even that isn't safe, but this...this is nuts. I can't believe the designer hasn't been sued into the stone age.
It doesn't matter if the electronics are in a shiny case or not. They r still made with the same compone ts other than a power light and foot pedal you can get just about anywhere. The probes r still made of pvc pipe. It's ust a cleaner version of the home made unit.
Are they really that bad? I honestly don't know a thing about electrics I've seen the home made ones but wouldn't have the balls to try and do one my self after I asked my trained electrician mate to build me one he flat said no too dangerous. But when I seen this I thought looks the job like but after reading your comment and others I'm not so sure now
Yes, Randall, as a person who spent three days in a burn ward before my latest build described, the voltage not only can jump, your body will be planted by the electricity, not thrown. Don't even think of buying one.
@@Tsunamiguitars thank you for your reply I'm gonna take your advice and not purchase one of these then m. It's a Shame I do love the effect it gives but the death part does worry me a little lol.
If something goes wrong, your safety foot or hand switch won't help. When you get a shock your muscles will contract not allowing you to release the hand switch and if it's about foot switch I guarantee you will be standing still on it untill you will fall on the ground stone dead. The ideal combination would be 2 switches working in opposite order. One which closes circuit when pressed and one when depressed. But even with that it's never guaranteed they will save you from sizzling death.
If the unit is running at a high enough frequency you will not receive a shock but can still get burns. This is the principle used in electrosurgery devices.
Why didn't they reply to your question? I know they make different models. I take it that one model is better than another? All n all do you like this model?
I've always wanted to try this but there is no way on earth id build one. And can't buy in UK the only way am gonna get one is fine electrician I trust and see what they can do. Kit looks good though. 👍🏴
@@lichtenbergArt thanks but unfortunately a can't afford the prices of the kit at least not the now I'll just have to dream. Unless u wanna have a UK guy to try it and you can send me one in which case am your guy. Thanks for the info though 🏴👍
water pipes.....omg bike handles :D mate this rubber is not made for 10kv ! its made for riding bikes! wanne see me special rubber sleve gloves for handeling high voltage? you have ONE life! dont be greedy to make money with something that can kill you
@@lichtenbergArt Not all. It takes a very clean, high grade and certain additives type of sillicone to be used in insulation of high voltage installations. It needs to shed/repel water, prevent algen buildup, and overall stay as clean as possible even in dirty environments.
Bunch of ignorant, Karen type haters on here. Follow the guidelines and you will be fine. Too dangerous for you? Don't do it. Stop telling people how to live. This is way safer than the homemade ones I've seen.
Anytime you have a fun yet dangerous technology it brings out the Karen's. They want to treat people like children and prevent them from using lightning for artistic purposes. I just don't understand that mentality.
100% agree. So tired of people butting into other people's lives. Tell ya what Karen..... If you're that worried, let natural selection take over so the real dumbass people weed themselves out.

Your going against the grain...turn your wood. BTW, what's the out put voltage and Amp?

How much looks better than my blue Peter job
How do I get the machine and how much does it cost?

I was hopeful but you are completely right. Too easy to accidentally hit the foot pedal while adjusting the electrodes.

Some insulated electrician gloves is another added level of safety

You do not get a deep burn with that unit.

Silicone rubber is made for insulation.
