However, he was widely respected during his time and is still quite well-known in France. I have a score vid of his violin sonata on my channel, but I would also highly recommend checking out his orchestral works, in my opinion every bit the equal of Ravel in terms of orchestration :)

This is the kind of music I envision that plays while sitting by the fireplace with a good book in the dark of night during the winter season.
I love this piece so much and chose it as my Master thesis research even there is no Chinese resources about it to obtain my degree.
