I am a student studying languages in the university, but you do not update in classical Arabic, you pronounce the letters in the Egyptian dialect, and this may lead to dispersion of the listener because he needs a common pronunciation between all the dialects.

Egypt doesn't use Dugan meaning to go they use rush meaning to go so 8m some sections she was speaking fushaa but the majority of it is Egyptian but for those who are looking for MSA there are tons of videos. I can't wait for you all to go to an Arab Country and speak Fushaa. They are not going to talk back to you in Fushaa. One country that may do it is the UAE but good luck. That will never happen to me again. Hahahaha!

Hello Ms. Peryhan, do you teach Modern Standard Arabic (MSA) as well?
A few individuals I work with are from Yemen; however, they speak Egyptian Arabic, like you. Yet they are able to understand MSA.
I like Egyptian Arabic since I believe it is the Mother of Arabic.
I have been told Modern Standard Arabic is utilized for Business Purposes.
I understand MSA purposes, its just peculiar that Egypt is not the Lingua Franca, since Egypt was built by an Empire, (an Empire the world is still fascinated by).

hi Peryhan you are doing a great job I like your fun demeanor. My question is you started off in Egyptian Arabic then in your greeting you ended in Fushaa. Why? Fushaa is only for reading and writing unless you are a jounalist. I love 3amiyya masriyya and besides you can find many fushaa websites, but not as many Egyptian sites.
What people need to know when practicing Arabic its like learning two languages in one. If someone tries to talk in fushaa at the airport, yes, they will understand but they will reply in 3amiyya.

For those who are learning I would like to take the confusion out of which variation of Arabic to learn. Egyptian Arabic is the most spoken Arabic in the Arabic work, then there is Khalij or Gulf Arabic, Shaami which is also Levantine Arabic spoken in Syria, Lebanon, Palestine and the Western part of Jordan. Maghreb Arabic spoken by Moroccans, Algerians, and Tunisians. Libyans speak more closely to Egyptian variation.
Fushaa (MSA) Is for reading poems, the Quran, and the news. Yes, everyone can understand but not everyone is educated to speak Fushaa, so they will talk to you in their regional dialect of Arabic and there will be words you won't know. I got some aggravated when I was in Egypt I had to yell do anyone speak English.
So there are only slight variations between Egyptian and Shaami they can understand one another. There are more movies and songs made in the Egyptian dialect and with the population of approx. 90million its easier to go with it.
Fair warning in Shaami and Egyptian they dont pronounce the "qaf" it is pronounced like the alif. for example qahwa (coffee) is pronounced ahwa so try to adjust to this. the words will sound different from fushaa when it begins with "qaf".
Khalij they pronounce the qaf but the alif has a short sound like short a.
if everyone spoke fushaa in a perfect world everyone would understand each other and this is not the case.It would make Arabic easier and you can learn one language instead of two.

sif alsif Everybody is not educated in the Arab world and many dont use common sense to speak to a foreigner in MSA they speak in dialect. Which makes it difficult for the non Arab speaker. My statement was not for the Arabic speaker but the non arabic speaker. My question is why would you speak your regional dialect to a foreigner if they are not speaking your variation? Not only is there different words use, pronunciations, and rhythms how the language is spoken. How an Egyptian says a sentence will sound different from someone from the Levant or Gulf to a person learning MSA. I had a horrible experience in the airport in Cairo I was speaking MSA they were talking to me in Egyptian yet no one was educated enough to talk back to me in MSA so I could understand them. All they wanted was was my damn money! I had to ask is there anyone who speak English to get what I needed. It was very frustrating and this is why I tell any non arabic speaker you have to learn two languages in one because they wont use common sense and answer you in MSA.
You all don't use Fushaa as the universal language to speak to someone who is Arab but not from your country. It becomes a struggle in conversation often leading to miscommunication. Use common sense and refer to fushaa since you all seem to understand. It's not rocket science. This is why I say everyone is not educated. I dont care how many degrees you have common sense never come into play, but yet many are so arrogant as if you are smarter than everyone else and they can't teach you anything. Try using common sense and by using it, you will be able to speak to anyone no matter where they are from. Have a good day.
