Faith Over Fear - Conquering Intimidation With God’s Boldness
1. God Has Not Called Us to Intimidation, But to Boldness and Power
2 Tim 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear (timidity or
cowardice), but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
• The devil wants us in intimidation, dread, uneasiness, anxiousness
• God has given us power & boldness - dynamite, explosive, force, miraculous power, supernatural ability, might, violence, mighty
• Boldness - on fire with confidence, courage, freedom of speech”,
the absence of fear in speaking boldly, absence of intimidation
Prov 28:1 The righteous are as bold as a lion. #LivingRightIsKey
2. Speak and Keep Speaking the Word of God with Boldness
Acts 4:29-31 And now, Lord, look upon their threats and grant to your
servants to continue to speak your word with all boldness, 30
while you stretch out your hand to heal, and signs and wonders are
performed through the name of your holy servant Jesus.” 31 And
when they had prayed, the place in which they were gathered
together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit
and continued to speak the word of God with boldness.
• Being bold is having courage and speaking out against what’s
wrong no matter what others think or say
Acts 14:3 speaking boldly in the Lord, who was bearing witness to the
word of His grace, granting signs and wonders to be done…
• The devil hates Christians that boldly proclaim the word because
he cannot contain its power, signs, wonders and miracles follow
Mark 16:20 (NIV) the disciples went out and preached everywhere,
and the Lord worked with them and confirmed his word by the signs
that accompanied it.
Acts 9:27 and he spoke boldly in the name of the Lord Jesus and
disputed against the Hellenists, but they attempted to kill him.
• 1 Sam 17:44-45 Goliath said to David, “Come to me, and I will give
your flesh to the birds of the air and the beasts of the field!” 45 Then
David said to the Philistine, “You come to me with a sword, with a
spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the Lord of
hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.
1 Jn 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear,
because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made
perfect in love.
Rom 8:31 (NIV) What, then, shall we say in response to these things?
If God is for us, who can be against us?
• It’s what I say about the situation that is the deciding factor
Is 54:17 No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every
tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn.
Heb 13:5-6 (NLT) For God has said, “I will never fail you. I will never
abandon you. 6 So we can say with confidence, “The Lord is my helper, so I will have no fear. What can mere people do to me?
for I am with you and will rescue you, declares the Lord.
