1. Redeemed - We Have Been Delivered and Set Free from All Bondage
Ps 107:2 Let the redeemed of the Lord tell their story- those He redeemed from the hand of the enemy
Ps 130:7 put your trust in the Lord, for with the Lord is unfailing love and with him is full redemption (In 2020)
2 Cor 5:21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
2. Our Righteousness Requires that We Live Right and Victorious by Faith
Js 4:6-10 “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” 7 So submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. 9 Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. 10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up
He took our sickness and gave us His healing, our weakness and gave us His strength, our poverty and gave us His prosperity, our failures and gave us His victory and He took our sin and gave us His righteousness, so now we have to by faith claim right living
We are to resist sin like we resist sickness and disease and poverty
Stop being double minded - That is not you anymore you’re new
Jn 8:32,36 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” 36 if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.
1 Pet 2:24 He bore our sins in His body on the tree that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness by whose stripes you were healed
2 Pet 1:4 by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
It is possible to partake of God’s nature in our spirit and not in life
As we walk by faith in God’s promises, it changes our thinking
Rom 8:29 He also predestined (you) to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.
Rom 12:1-2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Eph 2:2-5 in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, 3 among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others. 4 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved)
Rom 4:3 Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him for righteousness (I’m what God said I Am, I can have what God said is mine)
Rom 4:17-21 (“I have made you a father of many nations”) in the presence of Him whom he believed God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did; 18 who contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, “So shall your descendants be.” 19 And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead (since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah’s womb. 20 He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, 21 and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform.
