Love this! Simple and easy. Excellent video!
Thankyou you have saved me so much time. I have been clicking on each indivual face and then Flip Normals. Doing it your way is far faster
Awesome guide.... thank you!
It does not only apply to 3D entities but also to STL export for 3D printing.
I used a cylinder as a starting point, removed the top and bottom faces and started edge loop offset extrusions to the outside, round to the top edge again, resulting in a torus with a special cross section profile. The exported STL still assumed that that initial cylinder wall was a solid to the inside, while in Blender edit I removed them.
Flipping those initial wall face normals was the key. Thanks again, for sharing this piece of insight.
Hello! I have a question, right now I am trying to do a kind of hat for roblox studio but all the faces that are inside the hat and the inside part of the bottom of the hat are red, I tried the first method of the video and all the faces inside of the hat I mentioned before are invisible. Could you please give me some advice with it and also I hope you are ok since your comment was 9 months ago. I'm sorry if there are some grammar mistakes, english isn't my first language. Blesses.
@@light2267 Is the head a solid volume, or is it just planes? In case of planes, you need to thicken the subject so it becomes a solid, with planes having normals to the outside/worldspace..
Saved my life. I actually wanted to go select individual faces to shift n, for a very complicated model. Thank you 😭
