Ran the 10k on Sunday in these - loved them. Can’t imagine there are many super shoes that would have liked the U-turns. Felt absolutely unreal along embankment. Looking forward to spinning them out at Valencia Half in October
This looks promising, perhaps more of a crowdpleaser than the Elite 1 seemed to be. For now i'm very happy with my pro 4s that i just got. My threshold pace was 2% faster than running with my Mizuno Wave Rider 26s i had been doing all my runs in. Hopefully Saucony improves the traction before the wider commercial release, or for Paris tbh imagine having athletes in your shoes slip and fall in the Olympic marathon 😬
Absolutely! Just ran Gold Coast Half with the Elite v1 early this month, it was rain and wet. The Elite felt not enough grip, micro slips here and there. But managed to cut 12 minutes from last year.
First super soft super foam I've seen people compare to zoom x. Will be interesting to see if the Saucony foam is able to last more miles than the Nike foam
I use speed 4 for my 10k so love how they feel. I have my first half on 5 weeks then 3 more halfs before Manchester full in april. For me would you recommend these over pro 4 ?
The real question is, " Are you fast enough?" Ha ha , will you do a comparison with the Elite ? I really liked the elites, though I'm pretty slow, and I still felt fine in them, probably because I like the firmer foam and wide toebox compared to ep3. ( I also wear vibram 5 fingers ) I bought the alphafly 3 but returned them as I didn't like the foam as too soft and didn't like the toe box. Elite 2 looks like a great shoe, but I feel it will be like the alphafly 3 ( looks like that's what they were going for) so I would presume more people will like it. I like everything about it apart from the foam, it's a 180 compared to the elite. It looks like the pro 5 will probably be the new pwr hg foam trainer, and the elites going forward will be this new softer foam . Is it still aggressive ? I know you had sore feet before with the elite, so I wonder with the softer foam does that compensate for the aggression of that plate. Great review as usual.
Are you the only shoe reviewer globally who managed to snag a pair? UA-cam is very quiet on this shoe. So you’re telling me these are softer than new balance rebel foam?
I'd be amazed if anyone snagged them via the UK website. There are absolutely zero (that I've seen) on the reseller sites and the bots and resellers would normally jump on a shoe like this.
Do you have any idea how i can get my hands in these shoes?! I keep looking and it says they are sold out, but i can’t seem to find anyone with a pair either, weird
Looking forward to the Big Half cobble test for them 😂 Just received my v1s from when Sportshoes had them on sale last week and they feel plenty soft for me - think I’d be pronating all over the place in the v2s
I have them. The softest racer I have with a carbon plate. Low drop feels even lower due to the cushion. Roomy to box, VF shoelaces, snappy plus they look pretty sharp.
Honestly, when I've tested a brand new pair of Ride 15 at the running track (video is available on my channel), there were just 7 seconds of difference between them and the carbon plated Pebax foam based Endorphin Pro 2, on a 5K. If you are on the budget, just race on a "relatively" new pair of running shoes (after wearing them for at least a hour at home, performing 1 running session to see if they fit you well).

Good luck glad they worked
Ran LDN 10k in Adidas Pro3… back under 50mins… working my fitness back down to sub 45… great to say hi to you at the finish! Love your channel!

Total agree

I’m jealous. That looked like a lot of fun.
Looks epic. Be interested to see how this performs over the marathon and half distance.
Great effort considering your recent injury! 👏
Thanks a lot
Sounds great Fordy, just wish ordinary runners like me could afford these types of shoes. Love the videos though.

Second like to Fordy! Saucony Speed forever, this shoe too expensive for me.
Thank you

“In the summer of 2024”. Who’s summer? 😂 some watching from Australia.

Fordy can you do test Diadora Gara carbon? it race shoes from italian legendary brand
No they haven’t sent me them not sure why

@@Otis220 great, Can you recommend them for purchase as the only once racer shoes?
You mention the softness of the foam and the thin strip of rubber - what is your expectation or thoughts on durability?
Not great
How’s the sizing on it Fordy, tts??
For me yes
I. Will. Have. These.
@@kaprikornian1 Me. 2. 4. Sure
How is it compared to elite 1?
Day and night. Elite V1 is firm and very aggressive.
You’ll be in the AP4 for Berlin 👌
Hero
Just bought the Adizero Pro 3 and ran 21k this weekend.
How would you compare these to the Elite?
Let’s see how that outsole looks after 100 miles….
I won’t get 100 in them
Thank you, what’s your weight?
12 stone
Saucony needs to release a budget racing shoe, cause even the normal speed is too expensive for me, I’m stuck using the speed 2

Good morning. First Like to Fordy. !!! Saucony for ever!!!. Have a great day.
Thank you
First world problems, but that is such a terrible medal design. Looks like a security pass on a lanyard.
I like it
I know we shouldn't wish our life away, but roll on spring 2025😂
🤣🤣🤣
