Anna it went really well, it was short and sweet. It was basically just putting voices to faces and we planned another call soon. They were both very sweet ✨ I can’t wait to go in august!
the Bropair hey guys i thank u a lot this helped me i made it on my First Skype with the Host Family Would you help me with a token of appreciation to my host Family for inviting me
Thanks for the information. So glad I found you. I'm gonna have my first Skype with a host family tomorrow and I'm soooo nervous specially about my language level. What if I mess up with my French? What if I don't understand what they say?
If you are needing more questions to ask, check out aupairworld because they have a page of potential questions you could ask the family. Good luck on your first skype call! Also, if you think you're going to be nervous, grab something small that you can fidget with in your hands under the table. I don't know why, but having something to fidget with totally helped me.
Au Pair, Oh Paris thank you so much. Your advices are always helpful. And you were right. They spoke English😃 I was shocked cause all our messages were in French.
Hello! Your video is very helpful! I want to Au pair in Germany. I’m going into my second Skype interview with a family this week and have been offered a place with another family. What are the red flags I should look out for?
I have question,if you have to maybe take the kids out on the weekend for ice cream and things does the money come out of your pocket or does the parents pay for everything the children want
Anything you do with the kids the family will pay for. They might give you a credit card or physical money and then you use that. Sometimes you'll be out with the kids and then don't have the credit card or they forget to give you money and then you would use your own but then just tell the family and they will reimburse you.
Hi. I want to ask that what does the 'transportation cost' entails? Does it mean that the host family pays for your flights or does it mean they give you money for using the public transport or does it include both? Thank you.
Hello lovelies! I’m currently starting year 12 and am super interested in au pairing! A few questions (if it isn’t too much trouble)- have you au paired in London and is it easier in a country you speak the language? Should I save for a year before au pairing? What happens if it isn’t working and I need to leave? How to tell that the family is kind and won’t become abusive. Thankyou I love you guys 💖
1- I au paired in America and it is easier if you go to a country that you already speak the language of. But there's also some fun in au pairing in a country where you don't know the language that well. 2- Definitely save up some money before you start to au pair so that you have that to help you in the beginning before you get your first paycheck. And definitely save while you're au paring. 3- In America you go into what is called a rematch period where your agency will try and help you to find a new family but if you don't manage to find a new family then you'll unfortunately have to go back to your home-country. 4- Honestly, you wont truly know until you're living with the family unless you find out the contact details of a previous au pair and ask them how the family was. This is why you should Skype with the family a few times before going so that you can try and see if any red flags pop up. I hope this helped :)
Mmmm... great question! I guess the answer is, just ask! Personally, whenever they would invite me for something, they would pay for everything on my end. So just ask, it is important to have good communication practices with them!
oh gosh, I’m gonna be calling my family in about 15 minutes and I’m so incredibly nervous! I’ll hopefully be in italy this summer with them. ✨

Hannah Meyers just make sure that you feel 100% confident as to wanting to spend most of your time with this familyN listen to your gut!

O i dirile and how was it?
When your host family invite you to a cinema movie night ;do you pay for yourself or do they pay.
